    We are moving from the Oregon coast to NH next spring. Your videos are far and away the best I have watched in my search for a place to call home. I have never traveled farther east than Illinois, so I am trying to absorb relevant info as quickly as possible. We have searched online for our next destination, looking through almost every state except the east coast. Then my 22 year old granddaughter moved to NJ and I had to check it out. I love everything about NH but It's scary, like moving to a foreign country! So Jenn's videos have been a lifeline that I deeply appreciate. Thanks so much for all you do, Jenn!

    I grew up in Oregon from 1975 to 1995. Oregon was beyond awesome in those days. Went back there in 2022 and can hardly recognize the place. We left Oregon and moved to New England in 1995.We lived in Maine, Massachusetts and now New Hampshire. I love New Hampshire. It is the perfect mix of urban and wilderness accessible. It feels much bigger than it is and has a lot to offer with Boston close by and tons of hiking etc. Plus no sales tax just like Oregonians expect! Great schools, low crime and fantastic seasons, and still a sense of "live free or die". I'll never leave.. It's a wonderful place to live.

    Really like your videos, would love to see you do one on Lincoln, it's my favorite town in New Hampshire. It has a section with stores and restaurants and other shopping, but it also has areas that are quiet and more laid back. It's beautiful mountain views all around, and a lot of things to do really close by.

    I also love Lincoln! I have spent time on Loon Mountain (in winter and summer), hiking the Flume Gorge, and enjoying Clark's trading post - now Clark's Bears - as a kid and now with my kids. I plan on doing a video series on various NH towns, and hopefully I will get the chance to visit Lincoln again soon.

    The Biggest part of the entire Northeast region is all mostly beautiful. I'm a native born New Yorker from the Bronx. I lived in Salem Massachusetts back in the early 80s? And while living there? I did get out into both New Hampshire and Vermont and saw first hand the magnificent fall colors up there in the Northeast. Those great and beautiful fall colors up there simply can't be beat. At least in my view. I've also been up on the Hudson and there too away from the city? Looks great as well in the fall. Maybe not as rich in fall colors? But pretty close to it indeed. In close I've thought of moving back to the Northeast and New Hampshire has some great offerings. I most likely ? Won't make it there for at least 6 to 7 more years but the great Northeast is where I will end up no doubt. Thanks for sharing this great video post. Of N.H. take care

    Property taxes are by town, and they vary based on the amenities and individual town needs. The more rural, the lower average home prices and tax rates but then there are no schools, hospitals, fire stations, etc. nearby. I found a website that has them all listed out by town for comparison: joeshimkus.com/NH-Tax-Rates-2021.aspx

  • @EfficientRVer

    @EfficientRVer

    6 ай бұрын

    A different way than Bedford was at 23K. Bedford was left off because it was the best place near something even bigger. Sadly, Salem wasn't close to making it that way. I suspect a combination of two or more reasons. It's a border town, so half the towns around it aren't in NH. And it's just not an exciting enough city to be the reason to draw people to live in nicer towns around it. She was concentrating on getting people into nice towns near cities worth being near. Like, if you get a nice house in WIndham, did you buy it to be conveniently located to Salem, or to MA/Boston?

    Very much enjoying your videos. We’re getting a job offer in that area and looks like we’ll have to leave our beloved Mexico to live in NH for a spell - I’m very concerned about safety/USA: are people there “gun toting” is there any diversity? Are we safe as non-white people?

    Londonderry's population is 25,000 not 11,841. Exeter's population is 16,000, not 9,244. Henniker's population is 6.200, not 1,756 Pizza Hut? Really? I don't believe there is a single dine-in location in the state anymore. Hannaford is the only supermarket you can list? What about Market Basket and Shaw's? There's also Super Walmart's as well. Overall poor video.

    Thank you for watching! I got the population of towns from the US Census. The most numerous businesses surprised me as well! thought it would be market basket but not according to the factual numbers registered in the state. I am simply relaying info that I gathered on the internet, like everyone else. Hopefully will update these videos soon.

    Any thoughts on the Lakes Region for family life and schools?

    Since I have never lived in the Lakes Region I do not know first hand, but I find that if you are on social media you can join a local town's community page and from there can search for topics like schools, crime, et. or just read through the comments to get a feel of what goes on in that area. For schools I like to refer people to check out www.greatschools.org/
