Jack, when you get to chamber 16 there is a turret behind a grate, immediately after the entrance. Hit him with the laser-cube and he’ll explode, letting you enter the vent. Have fun with the Easter egg it reveals! Please like this so he sees it.

After all these years, GLaDOS's resurrection scene still gives me chills. Being thrown back into a room with her suddenly, her slowly putting herself back together, the very calm way she speaks with the anger just barely underneath it all, all while the music builds. Fun Fact! The area you go through when you get the dual portal gun is actually the last test chamber from the first game! You start at the fire pit where you escaped in Portal 1 and work your way to the start! Right before the elevator, you can see the test chamber 19 screen! It's details like that that make this game what it is!

Sydney Stafferton wait... but wasn’t there an explanation explaining why it’s not somewhere? I looked it up a while back and the portal 2 GLaDOS is an entirely different design than the one from the first game. Supposedly the portal 2 version was supposed to be a backup body that folded up into one of the rings above the portal one version, but it was never able to fit so they just kinda hung it it a back room or something and left it there, which is where you find it in the second game.

@@ditt0422 It's the same room, and the same body. Valve didn't plan ahead and wanted a more expressive design for the second game. Canonically, it's the same body but it's a different model in game because Valve hadn't planned ahead that much when creating Portal 1. Theories like that do exist but ultimately it's just trying to make up for Valve's inconsistent design

Portal 1 and 2 have to be the best comedic writing in any video game ever made. So so so good. These games just feel like a gift.

yall remember the song someone made for the turret?

GlaDDos is easiy one of the best characters ever made in a video game. Portal 2 is carried entirely by just puzzles and couple of characters, yet its one of the best games ever made. Shows how important good gameplay and characters are to video games.

Theory that confirms it is different to the other turrets: it doesn't aim at you when you enter its line of sight, unlike the other turrets. Turrets in portal start aiming at you as soon as they can see you, regardless of whether there's glass in the way or not. They just don't start shooting until there's nothing blocking the way.

Glados has gotten much better at roasting

I just love that Valve was able to fit so much personality into a small metal ball. Wheatley is easily my favorite character from Portal.

something thats a true testament to thsi game is the fact that half the time in the video its just him gensuinely laughing at the comedy in the game not like exaggerated or anythign and showing how much he laughs just goes to show how funny this agme is

Best story in a game ever, I love the writing and the characters, merchant and Simmons were perfect for the roles, I so wish they had done a 3rd and a fourth, even do a movie please.

The canonical reason Chell can survive a whole three seconds in front of a turret, is because they just cram the bullets in and fire them out with a spring, shell and all so that not just the part meant to be fired Is shooting

i adore this game so much that I frequently speed run it and seeing jack play it is so nice. genuinely I'm so so happy about this. comfort game + comfort youtube = the best possible outcome
