During this episode, Keith, on his 22 ft C-Dory cruiser, discusses where Foote Loose has been the past 2 months. Between vacations and repairs Foote Loose has not touched water for over 2 months! Boat Country repaired his gauges and Harbor Marine is installing his AIS and Auto-Pilot.
One of the fun things about boating on a C-Dory is being able to travel meet new people and discover new things. Join me as I travel around on my C-Dory on the Great Loop, locating; National Parks, National Battle fields, National Historical Parks, National Park Historical Preserves, National Park Historical Reserves, National Park Historic Sites, National Park Lakeshore, National Park Monument, National Military Park, National Park memorial, National Park Recreational Area, National Park Recreational River, National Park Seashore, National Park Scenic River/Riverway. All the while searching for great places to boat up to an eat. (with all the fun places to eat, he may need to expand this site to "Great Ways to Exercise on a Boat")

Thanks. Bearded Fishbilly This Friday the Seattle Boat Show begins. They have over 200 seminars, and over 70 webinars. I'll be heading down there learning about the electronics for navigation and for communicating on the internet while I'm cruising. I also signed up for an advanced anchoring class

@@keithsprivatechannel8612 it sounds like you will be ready when the time comes. Blessings for you Captain. It's gonna be one heck of a trip and you are definitely taking the proper precautions. Thanks again for the update. I'm working a little extra this year. I have to finish saving up my $60,000 so I can find a good used C Dory 10-15 years old. I'm looking to buy a 23 or 26 foot long C Dory Venture. We plan on doing the loop when the kids are older..... Maybe 10 years or so. I will be cruising and fishing the coast of NC, SC, and Virginia until then. Have a nice day Captain Keith. 🐟🐟🐟

I put a video together featuring water related shot while I was cruising on the Hudson. It took awhile to figure out how to make a video using shots from a dash cam.
Really enjoying your videos..safe travels. I have some catching up to do on our journey.

On my CD22, I had an engine problem once. I took it to the nearest Honda service center. It took them 4 months to fix it even though I told them what the problem was. But, I got the engine fixed for free (warranty issue) and a winter's worth of free indoor storage. Only thing I didn't like was that they had it for 4 months, but once they fixed it they said "Pick your boat up in 3 days or we're going to charge you storage."

I'm glad it got fixed under warranty. They were pretty rude about having to pick it up in 3 days "or else"

Ok, what's the plan? You're selling the farm, going on a grand adventure. Is this a solo voyage, I can't tell? Is this just the beginning of a bigger adventure? I have some experience with this, I sold everything, converted an old postal truck to my retirement home and now I travel with the seasons from the desert SW to Colorado Rockies, winter to summer. Spill the beans.

Spilling the beans ! I am going to cruise the "Great Loop" in my 22 Ft C-Dory. Beginning in May 2023.I am selling almost everything. If it does not fit in one of those U-Haul pods it is not going. While traveling the "Loop" I will be touring National parks - historic sites etc. and making documentaries of each. The current plan is to take at least a year to complete this adventure.

@@boatupdiningguy6334 Several years ago I was looking hard at the great loop. I was torn between the bigger Albin 25 trawler that cost less and got better fuel mileage than the C-dory but at 6 knots would be very tough to make anchorages before dark each day. Anyway, I have zero boating experience and thought better of it. I look forward to following along on your journey.
