Wonderful views. I have always wondered why the French are so lean. A clue comes by looking at the quantity on that plate, no matter how delicious it might be. I am sure it wasn't cheap either. Here in Portugal that plate would have been at least twice as full for half the price. I guess the money you saved on gasoline was well spent on the meal. Keep up the sunny videos.

Extracted from Trip Advisor : Start from La Turbie - as you can get there easily from Nice by the 116 bus 10:30 bound for Peillon. Hop off at La Turbie and from there its a short distance to the waymarked Randonee - the yellow rectagle - with occasional signposting, up remote hills and wild pathways. We are talking around two hours, some of it involves scrambling up loose stony track - its not a "road-track" until you hit Cime La Forna, but from there follow the "smilitary trategic route" via La Simboula down to Col d'Eze, where you can pick up a bus back to Nice La Revere is the summit of the walk and has the most spectacular views high above Eze - best you will find on the Riviera. You'll need good shoes, water, and a Carte IGN map will be helpful. I've only ever encountered one walker and two cyclists on a half dozen walks, so you'll not be able to ask anyone the way! You can do it reverse - from Eze to La Turbie - but by definition youre going further and futher away from base Nice. If you have the legs for it you can walk carry on walking from Eze to Nice via the Corne d'Or - finest views over Cap Ferat and Beaulieu and villefranche. Bear in mind these are some challenging distance for "normal" folk.

@@MeandMonAmi sorry to go overboard with this one Tim but had such a wonderful walk that day - am sure we bused it from Menton to La Turbie and then walked up to the gun emplacement I mentioned - had a picnic lunch there - group of about 10..- and then walked down to Eze Village , stopped there for a bit and then proceeded to descent The Nietzsche Trail to Eze sur Met … all this was perfectly “doable in a day and the walkers were by no means that young.. ! One of the best walking days we had and Eze sur Met made such an impression on me - not commercialised at all and yet within such easy reach of Menton; Nice; and MC - perfect ! Realise the dodge bit is finding the route from La Turbie up to the gun battery and then choosing the right route to Eze Village - ( the guy from Trip Advisor was I think right in there not being many who make this route so you are on your own !). Exciting to do though, and once you have done it once you are getting 3/4 points of interest in on the one route… if you end the day at EsM. Bill

It seems Citroen have compromised on the simplicity ethos here as I won't be able to charge it if I visit friends as the don't have wall boxes.

sir, check your mirrors from time to time. There is a big truck behind you for quite some time. Perhaps it would be an idea to let him pass. For safety reasons? The truck is basically checking the profile of your front tires. He is that close. Pls be aware of your own safety. Sure, the truckdriver should keep distance etc. BUT, i think he might know the road, and wants to go a bit faster. Either way, it is much safer to not have him behind you that close.

When you talk about "km of autonomy", is that influenced by French "autonomie"? I think I never heard that term being used about range, except your channel. I'm more used to "autonomy" being about levels of autonomy, or self driving cars. 0 No Automation 1 Driver Assistance 2 Partial Automation 3 Conditional Automation 4 High Automation 5 Full Automation When you say you have X km of autonomy, it sounds to me like Elton will drive for X km, before you have to take control, but I know it is about range.

Now I've gotten used to it, and get the point without much extra thaught, thow it makes me smile whenever I think about how confused I was the first few times. After realizing French use the "false friend" of autonomy for "range". I think it boosts the authenticity of Frenchness of your show. 🙂👍❤️ (As a Norwegian I'm familiar with a few "false frends" with our neighbor langeuages Swedish and Danish, where the same/similar word mean different things: "le" = laugh - Norwegian smile - Danish, Swedish "grine" = cry - Norwegian laugh - Danish, Swedish
