The opposite of 'shame', in much of the world these humans admire and respect power. The conquering king is worshiped and 'might makes right' is the morality. They can even dislike it but they will respect and honor it. Shame is for the losers. the defeated, those who were beaten. for example, right now Gazans feel shamed and are ashamed of Hamas. Shame is for the weaker ones. Pride and respect for the stronger ones. That's how most of the world see's things.

I've lived in India 2013-2015. I worked in N. Delhi, Mombay, and Kerala. I've thought 5 public schools thru my collage agreement in that period and was interacted with millions of locals. so I've learnt a whole lot about the country and its people.
