I was a big fan of you many many years ago ,when you were sailing Greece with your first boat . I think I was following your show on sailing channel at the time and one of the episodes that i remember is when you visit Corfu island and you had an octupus sandwich......lol .....I am very glad that after so many years ,recently I discovered the distant shores channel and i see that you still go on and give us beautiful moments of nature and places around earth .....keep going and stay safe....👍👍

Absolutely stunning - wow!

It was special and unique 52 yrs ago when I first visited the Exumas. Dad bought Dennis Cay in 1962. Two miles north of Staniel and directly west of Sampson Cay. Sadly, the videos of the area demonstrate today that it has become what we sought to escape back in the day.

Thanks great that your boat can take the hard / ground gives a lot of opportunities, have looked at bilge keel boats before as in the west coast of Scotland were i sail we have large tides so you can get plenty of benefits however most don't sail as well to wind ward however have been told by a few folk that the David Thomas bilige keel boats are just as good. Keep trying to get a sail on one of his hunter designs so i can make my mind up have also looked at the southerly 28 as a option.

Been catching up and binge watching many of your recent episodes since you got your new Southerly DSIII, just wondering what episode if any show having your new aft solar arch installed and made and also any other additions since you took delivery. Always great to see how and reasoning behind your modifications as they always seem to be well thought out and well designed.

Looking forward to meeting you both at the show this weekend. Showing my wife some of your episodes was part of the nefarious strategy I used to get her excited. We are on our first extended cruise and happen to be In the area, up from Miami. The one crossing under Paris was pivotal in getting her on board!

I'm getting close to my 60, and sailing only on my vacations, living our boat in Angra dos Reis, RJ - Brazil meanwhile, when the sae try as hard as it can to convert my boat a part o fit self, now I'm planning to move aboard with my wife in the next 12 months. Watching your videos, we fell more and more confident to do it. But your boat seams to be a very nice solution for us, young, but with legs and arms more used than we wanted. I think it is much more evenly level... stretching for hundreds of meters almost the same depth everywhere. In Chi the tide is SO much higher 15 feet versus 3 feet and stronger currents perhaps cause it to be different? Plus its much warmer :-)

Noooooo you gone to the dark-side with GoPro audio. Buy tape some foam over those microphones or buy stick-on foam dots to work as dead-cat substitutes so your voices sound normal and the wind stop puffing the audio. :-)

Careful. That sand is abrasive and your boat is rocking. Watch that it doesn't scrub the anti-foul off the hull.

We use Coppercoat paint which doesn’t rub off for just that reason 😅

lol no they swim but don't fly :-) The keel hasn't had any problems. It is electric/hydraulic but also does have a backup manual pump if it ever goes wrong. But it hasn't...

My interaction with domesticated pigs is slim to none so not sure what it's like. They looked friendly like a pet so I hope they were. That would suck to try petting them and have them make a fuss like your trying to hurt them when your really not.
