I just read something similar a few hours ago. A driver and a hitchhiker... the hitchhiker was acting suspicious while a radio news was airing about a roaming convict, so he turned off the radio. The driver turned it on again after a while after being scared of the hitchhiker. Another news aired about an escaped mental patient and also stole a specific vehicle and the name of the patient was mentioned. Finally, the hitchhiker asked, wait didn't you say your name was -----. The driver/mental patient guy was actually the more dangerous one and is actually one of the villains. It was how he was introduced in the story. ....just a coincidence so I shared the story... kinda messy though as I had to keep it short.

Call center and a debt collector job are such bullshit jobs: unrealistic demands from bosses, angry customers, low payment and long working hours. God i am glad i have a higher entrance plank job.

There used to be a business technique called parroting that was exactly like this. It was supposed to build rapport by repeating what the person said back to them, unsurprisingly it isn't taught so much these days because of the chances of repeating mistakes or accidentally inspiring sociopathic limousine drivers

@@slomotionaction People should make more of an effort to talk to others. We are using our smartphones more and more as "crutches" nowadays. Instead of striking up a conversation or actually being bored once in a while (the latter being quite good for our brains) we instantly reach for our phones. Smartphones allow us to have all the information in the world at our fingertips but that's both a good thing and a bad thing.

LOL, I wasn't expecting that ending. I was thinking the driver was an IQ200 economy genius, then i though he was a host at the even and as the story progressed, him being an undercover fed, but never did it cross my mind the actual ending plot.

I totally expected the driver was going to show up in the meeting and turn out to be the ultimate decision maker.

I drove uber for awhile, and one time i picked up a 40ish yo guy at night, and while we were chatting he asked, "Isn't it kind of weird to have a complete stranger in the backseat of your car?" So i said, "not until you asked that. Now you made it weird." And i stared at him in my rearview mirror. Before i had been friendly ish, but i made it super quiet and uncomfortable for him the rest of the ride since he made it that way. 😂
