KeepassXC, folks, it's the gold standard. *ONLY* use free and open source password managers, do not trust anything proprietary with your passwords. Yes, that means you shouldn't be using Lastpass or 1password, Bitwarden will still host your password database on their server but their client is FOSS and it supports saving your password database somewhere else. Master Password is interesting because it doesn't store any passwords at all, but instead consistently generates passwords based on your current website, your full name, and your master password (and optionally a counter, so that you can "change" your password). This means you cannot possibly lose your password database, you do not have to store a database on someone else's server that might get hacked, you can log in from any device that you can install Master Password on. I personally just keep my password database in several physical locations I personally have access to because I don't trust cloud storage, but I am curious whether Master Password is actually a practical way to go about this. The downside is that you have to reset ALL your website passwords if you ever need to change your master password and you need to be careful how you input a website's name as that's part of the seed, and if you need to change a website's password because that website got hacked you'll need to increase the counter and save that counter somewhere which is mildly annoying, but I think I personally would prefer that to trusting a cloud account. Having not used it, my biggest issue would be generating passwords that follow extremely nitpicky password requirements, as you *also* need to remember the password type you used for that website to log in so your options are something like "maximum" or "PIN" and can't really specify that the password needs to have a period somewhere.

@@MaximilianKohler They both use the same database format so you can try both for yourself. XC doesn't have plugin support, but has native clients for all desktop OS's, has a much nicer interface, and has the most important KeePass plugins already integrated, like browser integration, TOTP, key agent, pass phrases, etc. It's great, especially for those new to a proper password manager or that don't need extremely niche plugins. But if you need that plugin support and don't care about the client looking like ass or needing to set up a bunch of plugins to do otherwise basic tasks, regular KeePass is better.

Now double that with the site you're trying to access being blocked by your country's government, switching VPN on and off, installing and deleting VPN apps, creating a dozen of new accounts with the one you actually can access being banned several days later.

Video idea for you: «When you try to unsubscribe from emails» For one subscription the button may simply not work, another will ask you to login to their service first (and you completely forgot the password for this shit), third will open up some preferences with a lot of options either like this: «Choose topics from which you want to unsubscribe» and literally two screens of topics, each of which has to be clicked separately, because there’s no button for all, or it’s hidden. OR you get another type of preferences like this: - Receive messages only daily - Receive messages only weekly - Receive messages only once a month - Unsubscribe from all And when you click “Unsubscribe from all”, you’ll get some QA session, and if you’re lucky it’ll be just one question with many options again: «Before we unsubscribe you, tell us, why do you unsubscribe?» with a form with another bunch of options, making you spend even more time on this shit. And after all this you just think that maybe you should have just moved it into spam instead, because even though you, indeed, subscribed to this letter, you don’t find an easy way to unsubscribe. And though it’s different types of bad design email subscriptions, I think you might try to merge it somehow into one the most unpleasant unsubscription experience that is including ALL OF IT, for humor’s sake
