Technically you're a cat, and cats can live up to roughly 16 years. So if you have 9 lives and multiply that by 16, getting 144 years, and then subtract the years you've been on KZread, you get 140 years. Even though you lost half your lifespan, you still have 70 years left to live

REMAINING life span. It's the same for Death Note. In the show, Misa makes the half your remaining lifespan deal twice and still lives, because it's REMAINING lifespan. Let's say you have 40 years left to live. If you made the deal, you would be down to 20 years left. If you did it again, you would be down to 10 years left. And then 5, 2.5, 1.25, 0.75, 0.3525, and so on.
