Won't spoil where or whats in them but theres a good number of hidden caves, secret walls, and neat lore pieces around. Also some loot containers are gamestaged so they will always have relevant materials when you first open them. Also highly recommend the recycler, it lets you convert things back into their base materials at 100% efficiency, rods into 9 ore, SA into its 6 parts etc. As for Zeolite now that your at the point of starting to get flora around you will find it growing on barklike outcrops, so you gotta go reexplore the regions you have already been. It's a limited nonrenewable currently hence why the recycler is so important so that you can always recover it for other improved projects.

also the gas extractor works kinda like the thing that gives you water but instead it gives you methane cartridges which are used for making for example mutagenes

If you look from your base towards the cave maze you found all the super alloy in awhile back, go that way and keep going to the right past the iridium cave with the falling sand, you’ll find a cave on the left that has super alloy, that you can mine it once you get the ore extractor t2.

It creates methane, used in biolab, it occasionally give oxygen

Sometimes I wander around in Planet Crafter, I found a plant that gives a 450% boost to oxygen. Still haven't found any Zeolite, though. Also, don't think the Iridium Rod was natural, since there are crashed ships all around (and even some things Matt didn't find yet that add to the plot a little) so we know we're not the first person on the planet. Also, it seems I have run out of things to unlock with microchips, but I didn't catch if he had extras lying around that didn't unlock anything.

zeolite appears near the end of the flora stage, small roots appear under specific rocks with a bright whitish blue zeolite crystal on them. theres about 1 and a half lockers worth in the world there is a limit to blueprints, but you can get plenty of extras. save them in case new things get added in updates. 450% plants spawn all over the eastern canyon biome, 500% spawn in the far north oasis biome

You will end up finding more microchips than there are things that they unlock. I have several chips and are useless.

The auto organize button when your storage/inventory is open is super helpful for crafting super alloy and finding the highest oxygen seeds

You probably know this but the BEACON is really good for marking caves and other areas, and you can set their color (like a red beacon for iridium caves!)

Something I found out about the rockets. The best thing to do is place the rocket pad out in a open area away from everything. Because YOU are the target for the asteroids. So the asteroids land in a circumference around you. So as you move around the asteroids, they will follow you. So for the largest yield of material without having to deal with broken water and stuff getting stuck on rocks you cant get up to, or having it land in the middle of everything. Also night time gives you a good look at where everything lands, especially out in if they land in random hard to reach places.

Explore that underground base more. There is a TON of stuff there you're missing.

You get Ziolite by finding it in trees or next to trees. The gas extractor makes methane which is a very useful resource that you can build and construct a lot of things that is important to exceed in the game

I think the specific "secret wall" being referred to is in a different underground base than the one you showed here (there are a handful of ladders poking up out of the ground in various spots -- and also a few secret walls in various spots). I'm not sure I've seen a video with you exploring the "cold" biome yet (the wiki calls it the "Wasteland," but, eh, it looks like the ground is frost covered to me). This is such a well-paced, combat-free, base-building game with just enough narrative and mystery to keep me hooked!

You need to build an item deconstructor, it lets you turn the rods into the base material

If you haven’t already, go on the higher up part of the maze and there are natural super alloys there, little bit quicker to get there. Also editer, make the super transition to a helmet ^_^

Mr Engineer sir, idk why none of have thought of it but .... There is a way you can get up to your base faster... By building a vertical set of rooms in a tower and putting a bunch of ladders in them, as the ladders basically teleport you, it may be faster. Also you can use the rooms to put stuff like the heaters which take up space if you want. Though it likely will be quite a build, also how do you build downward ... Hmm.

I also forgot to ask if you're ever going to add some glass floors so you can see below the base from inside. I've seen them in spots and it looks really nice and cool. Maybe next base upgrade episode.

I used to always go out with 3xFe, 2xTi, 1xSi for a quick emergency habitat (AND door!). At some point I didn't even use O2 bottles because half a tank was enough to get everywhere.

This game is great for the most part, but once you are nearly done it's just a waiting game to unlock the last item. Fine to afk if you are on easiest setting, but on other difficulties you will die of thirst/hunger if you afk. Think it's still in alpha though so expect to see lots of tuning updates in the coming months

Watching the first one or two of your Videos in this series made me buy the game, I'm now some 15 hours in and loving it. its such a wonderfully chill game. Early game is wonderfully challenging. I hope when the game is out of early access there are multiple maps.

You need the extractor is all I am gonna say to not spoil the further game, and underwater in the region you started there is a deconstructable wall (the one from the outpost message)

dismantle your old drills they use power and resources and one tier 4 drill produces mire pressure for less power.

As an electrical engineer, I am slightly triggered by the power being shown as kW/H. Watts is already an energy-per-second unit. Looks like a fun game though :)

you need to build a deassembler or whatever its called so if you don't have iridium but you do have rods you can deassemble them to get iridium

Best series ever

Technology is so advanced one person can terraform a planet by themselves. However they can't build an O2 tank that lasts more than a few minutes. Or once there is O2 in the atmosphere concentrate it or something.

Matt you can build a recycler to break down items into basic components

If you need more Iron, Let's Game It Out found an infinite Iron exploit. Among other things... Why does everyone like stairs so much?

It's no wonder the protagonist was a convicted criminal. An expert in geology, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, nuclear physics, aerospace engineering, meteorology, botany, microbiology, and more probably 😂

Next door neighbor's kid watched this with me and laughed at the Batman symbols. This will be my next game I add to Steam. Still having fun with Timberborn. My husband keeps killing off the beavers.

It looks like the gas extractor might be like the water collector but for oxygen canisters, so you don’t have to worry about crafting oxygen anymore because your gas extractor will do it for you. Speaking of oxygen I wonder if you’ll ever get to the point where the oxygen is thick enough so you don’t need to worry about running out when you’re out and about.

There is plans for a breathable atmosphere. No real time frame for it happening though.

I challenge you to build a huge wall of platforms to catch meteors.

RCE Zeolite are very rare resource that you can get i think once you enter a certain stage of terraforming and it is not infinite so dont use it on anything else not important or you will lose it forever

I too, thought the gas extractor was useless, until it wasn't.

Every time i here him say engineer, i think of his music video. Part of me thinks it's catchy enough to listen to every so often.

RCE the gas extractor as well make o2 like holdable o2 that you can use to make the bar go up in o2 meter so you wont die

Aluminium ore extractor are great source for super alloys

Why do you think when you increase oxygen it doesn’t make you lose oxygen slower?

The general consensus among the player base is, the numbers in the game make no scientific sense, and the devs have confirmed they don't care about "scientific accuracy _at the expense of_ fun gameplay", either. Besides, it's still in early access and not all of the terraformation stages are complete, yet. As for my headcanon, I think it's that the atmosphere is oxygenated enough for plant life, but _not yet_ thick enough for human breathability, at this point in the game.

@@WackoMcGoose Human lungs need the air pressure pushing in on them to inflate properly, otherwise you will be infinitely gasping even if you can get enough oxygen to stay alive.

I think that the player itself is in a spacesuit. So it doesn't matter if the surroundings have oxygen or any other gas, he still has to survive on bottled oxygen and bottled water.

@@samanyuxkaushal Considering how you're a convict told to either terraform the planet or die there in the attempt, it's not too unlikely to think that whoever sent you there made the odds as unfavorable as possible... including creating a space suit that a mechanism in place that only pulls oxygen from its environment when you're inside a sealed habitat you built yourself(or maybe just needs to be powered).

the gas extractors create gas capsules which are useful in to create more things in late game

i have a question when you build your somehow airtight thing water just goes thru it and i found it in lets game it out video newest one and i have something to tell you RCE i found out in lets game it out if you build outside the map you can get so many space and if you need a place to make so many power things and stuff you can build them there or even make an outpost there if you need o2 to build some stuff there

Zeolite is gonna be hidden between tree roots, start looking for them behind small rocks

Allow me to preference this by saying I'm not currently playing the game nor do I even own it but if I had to guess gas to guess gas extractors probably aren't probably are a way to get oxygen containers much like the Atmospheric Water extractors
