Hours and hours of Terraforming has created a thriving paradise...
Ойындар
The Planet Crafter is a game that allows you to build a stairway to the moon whilst terraforming a hostile planet into a tropical paradise using eggplants, the strongest of plants, and some nifty bits of engineering such as a staircase to the sky! In part 8 our planet finally gets covered in plants and greenery, and I also expand my very efficient base!

If you're in your base when a super alloy meteor shower starts, just drop to the ground, and maybe go inside a building. When each individual meteor spawns, it targets you (with a bit of randomness in direction). Dropping down will get the ones that spawn throughout the duration of the shower to point down more, instead of going way far behind you. That will work for all the meteor showers, of course, but only the super alloys despawn after like 10 seconds. Love your content, RCE!

Hey, just wanna let you know - the oxygen levels are measured in ppb because that's parts per billion. PPM, the next step up, is parts per million. On Earth, since the atmosphere is 20.95% oxygen, our oxygen is at 209,500 ppm.
I hope the devs will change the kW/H to just kW. As an electrical engineer the incorrect use of the power units bothers me a bit :P Great series so far btw, love to see the difference in how you and other youtubers approach it.

Hey Matt, the super alloys despawn almost immediately after the asteroids strike the ground. So try to be closer to the surface of the planet, ideally infront of a big mountain, so that all of them breakdown and fall upon you. Also, since the first time was a fail, do remember, the super alloy meteor shower will happen atleast once and atmost twice again, so you can be prepared with extra empty storage lockers. Also, there are a few super alloy mines, so you can place a few Ore Extractors to get them easily.

To answer your question about the super alloy meteors, yes your location affected their final impact site and yes it does despawn rather quickly
You will need a gas extractor in the sulfur pits to get methane for mutagens for several things. Right now I'm past the insect stage and heading towards the fish stage and have only built 3 gas extractors. You wont need many of them If you head out of the sulfur pits towards the crashed ship that you found the hidden room in you'll find a super alloy cave. When you leave the sulfur pits and get to the wide open area take a left and follow the cliffs. Very quickly you'll find a cave system to head into. There's super alloys there and it's one of the good places to mine it since you have to go to this general area for sulfur and methane

A few tips: * Do a beeline on the tech tree for the Nuclear Fission thingy. It generates a ludicrous ammount of energy, it's really small, can be put inside the bases, and it doesn't even use uranium anymore. You'll want to make a lot of them and forget energy is even a thing. 5 quartz and 4 supper alloys. * There's a cave that you can mine super alloy with the Miner T2. The entrance looks a little bit like a temple, with big stone formations kinda like the iridium cave, the inside has a yellow golden mist and a very ancient gate probably made by aliens. The cave itself is littered with super alloy. It's somewhat near the rocket spaceship. Make a base nearby and fill it with lockers. * Once you have the energy and supper alloy in abundance, spam heaters T4, drills T4, flower spreaders, tree spreaders, algae spreaders, etc all over the map. Spend some time making bases everywhere too. There isn't much to do until you can get a ridonculous high ammount of terraforming and unlock the fusion cells to use on those derrelict ships and open a few doors. Endgame is very sparse on things to do. :/
The super alloy from meteors do de-spawn in roughly 2 minutes. you have to be quick to get them
Super Alloy storms cannot be waited out and gathered later. Bring some food and gather as it happens! The Super Alloy despawns so fast that the early impacts disappear before the end of the storm.
8:37 "Since I don't really need any iron anymore ..." A few seconds later 9:23 "So I gonna need lots of iron ..." and than 9:43 ... didn't see that thought comming 😂😂
The super allow event despawns super quick. You have to run around and collect it during the event, you'll get hit a bunch but that's the risk.
Heads up: According to the wiki biomass does NOT increase your terraform index, sadly. So, once you get everything unlocked from Biomass it's essentially useless.
The day RCE uses the sort inventory button I will be so happy!

the super alloys despawn rather quickly after the storm.
By the way i guessed the actual names for mPa and ppb and stuff maybe they are right ppb = particles per billion (so oxygen particles per billion particles of air) µK = Mikro Kelvin (µ this actually stands for Mikro and Kelvin is a heat indicating synonym) mPa = Milli Pascal (I think Pascal is actually a pressure scale) t = Ton (might be tons idk) Sorry for my English btw im actually German hehe
There is a fusion generator in the ship near your starting base, put the pulsar quartz in there for baisically unlimited energy 😄
Not sure why, but each time I hear the greeting at the beginning, I always smile ;)
There should be a super alloy cave near where that cashed ship is, that you deconstruct the wall from. I think if you go to the front of the ship and head toward that cliff side from the nose of the ship..... There is a hidden cave full of super alloy.
µK is micro Kelvin. By itself µ is pronounced "mu", because it is a greek letter. mPa is milli Pascals. Mega Pascals has a capital M: MPa.
Can be found in: All around the map, under a small root. Starts protruding through the ground at ~250 MTi and you can start picking them off at ~500 MTi. Fully erect at 700 MTi when reaching the Flora stage. two locations that you can find them at are: the left side of the iridium cave entering from the sulphur fields between the two rocks standing against each other by the lake in the barrens Crates (after the moss stage) Cannot be mined using the Ore Extractor. It is a finite resource PCWiki.

Ok here is an idea for the asteroids; build a giant "catch" coming off the top of the base, probably made of layers of stairs. Loads and loads of stairs, walking up towards where the asteroids come in, so when they hit the top ones they may just drop straight down, or follow the stairs to the top of your base. Would take a ton of iron, but might be worth it... and the most important thing, if you made some of the stairs curl and jut out in different ways, it would be a big ol' bush for the knob.

The meteor shower is based on YOU!!! You are the target. Well a circumference around you. So a open area that is flat works best. And it will follow you as you move across the map. Another great game like this is Astroneer. Love your videos keep up the good work
Quick question... If a person/entity terraforms a planet, do they own it?? Like if Elon were to successfully terraform Mars, would it be his planet?
I don't know how true this may be, as I have never played the game... the super alloy disappearing in the meteor shower may be caused by render distance... next time try running directly to where the meteors are mostly hitting the ground and see what happens:)
Just saying but, I believe u have coordinates down left side... so, even if u die, u can just go back and recover yr resources... cuz once u died in a previous video and lost the item box for good... so just helping out :)
Gas extractor produces a new gas that is need for other materials you craft. It is used for late game devices.
I could watch you play this for hours
