Daisuke Young That’s not true. A few years ago, we saw the release of Kevin Hart’s signature training shoe. You can also consider most of the Fear of God collaborations as “signature” models for Jerry Lorenzo. Outside of the realm original designed signatures, we do see the Travis Scott and Virgil Abloh’s that give those designers huge amounts of freedom to alter and customize existing Nike silhouettes.

Maybe not. You can't really sustain a proper business on hype. All the resell money doesn't go to the actual company. More air monarchs have been sold than all the yeezys combined. Yeezy are released in limited numbers, even when they are supposed to be GR. So while you could view it as a bug mistake, it really isn't in terms of profit. Since they technically don't sell a lot of shoes (maybe like 2 million pairs of yeezys, since hype needs to be maintained and not have them sit on the shelves) thats nowhere near as much as Nike sell of their other products every year.

As someone who got into sneakers in a post Red October, Post 350 boost world it's impossible for me to not give Kanye praise. People say Nike is doing Travis like they should have done Ye, but Travis ain't got his own shoe yet. He's only doing collabs.

I think they should just release the scrapped oreo pair instead of ruining the existing Air Yeezy resale value.
