I believe Jordan’s started using the jumpman on the heel when Jordan became its own brand and were trying to set themself apart from Nike as being their own thing. I don’t mind a jumpman on the heel, but the Nike air really gives it that special OG feel

White Cement 4s are my favorite sneakers, EVER. I got a pair of the 2016 White Cement 4s for Christmas in 2019. Besides being my favorite colorway of my favorite silhouette, my particular pair holds a lot of meaning for me personally. On the inside of each shoe, you'll see a label that has among other things, production dates. On both shoes, the last production date was the date I survived a car crash almost 5 years ago.

Jordan 4’s are my favorite Jordan model of all time. Military blue 4’s from 06’ were my first ever pair of jordans, I think I was in 5th grade at the time. Special shoe to me fr.

I remember when I was in college I found a Fire Red 4's in a shop for 40 bucks (2000 pesos in the Philippines). It was the first shoe that I saved money for and the first one that I bought with my own money. I literally thrashed it until the stitching in the toe box separated and the midsole crumbled. It was one of my shoes that I regrettably thrashed because years later after college, I found out that Air Jordan 4's with a Nike Air back tab are valuable. If I know earlier I would have taken care of it Yes, it had a Nike Air back tab and it cost just 40 bucks

The Jordan 4 Fire Red’s was the first pair of Jordan’s I ever owned. My mom bought them for me when I was a kid. I was not aware of how big the Jordan brand was & everywhere we went, people would look & point at my shoes🤣 & that’s what hooked me to Jordan’s. I have a DS pair of them now that I will never wear in her memory. Great video! & RIP to my mom🙏🏽

My favorite is the black cement 4s by far. I remember seeing the union pair and I didn’t hate it but I wasn’t impressed because the renders looked vastly better. I definitely liked them more when I saw them on feet but I never thought they looked terrible like people were saying

one of my favorites. i was able to get the union 4 taupe haze from the union raffle, fire reds , and the lightnings thus far. the aj4 white oreos are now in my sights.

The 4s are one of my favorite sneakers. Theyre crazy comfortable on and off the court. The only drawback is they tend to be a hot shoe so not really a good summer shoe in 90+ weather. Good luck getting your hands on a pair post COVID as they typically sell out in minutes on-line

Managed to grab a pair back in November for 330 before the prices started going up only wore them once so far on a trip back home to NYC. I’m hoping next time they retro they have the higher cut on the collar like the OG”s

History on Barkley's, Pippen's, Shawn Kemps, Sprewells Dada Spinners, DWades Converse and Jordan Lines, The Starburries , Grant Hills Filas 🤘 that would be dope.

Own both color renditions of the AJ4s, with jumpman and Nike Air logos on the heels. But the white cement 4s will always be that holy grail for me as I remember being a high school freshman kid back in 89’ watching a Wheaties commercial with what appeared to be a basketball in background on an indoor court, as the camera is low to the floor panning through a line up of all the Wheaties cereal boxes that donned iconic sports legends from Babe Ruth, Bob Richards to Bruce Jenner, sorry meant Kaitlin to Pete Rose, Mary Lou Retton, Chris Evert, suddenly appearing in the background was Mike bouncing the ball up close until the camera passes Walter Payton on a box, until you got to a blank Wheaties box with now showing a snippet peak of the right foot of an Air jordan we weren’t familiar with as Mike stops bouncing and then slams the basketball to the floor and throwing his left foot up on to the basketball while quickly showing that it was possibly the New Air jordan 4 (later Revealed in an Air Jordan 4 commercial) and picking up the Wheaties cereal box flipping over for another reveal of his jumpman profile on the box was so iconic to me as what really started my love and collection for sneakers.

I've honestly never been the biggest fan of most J's, 4s in particular were one pair I never liked too much. I was a skater back in the day so it wasn't even that I didn't like bulkier shoes. As soon as I saw the Union 4s the day they leaked they instantly reminded me of my old skate shoes that I'd wear into the ground. Everything from the new paneling to the short "puffy" tongue just hit all the right nostalgia notes. I know Chris Gibbs wasn't going for that but it still spoke to me as if that was the inspiration. I ended up copping on Union's site, I was so scared I'd miss out to people that spent the last few weeks shit talking so I was so stoked to get mine.

4s are definitely one of my favorites. Look good and feel good.

i was working at a Foot Locker when these were first released. It was pretty chaotic then, since the only way to buy them was to go to the store and line up. I was fortunate enough to buy the white/cement and black/cement at 40% off, thanks to the employee discount..

I just got my 1st pair of 4s a few months ago. The Midnight Navys. I’ve always loved 4s all my life, k just never felt I could rock the color ways cuz I maybe wasn’t cool enough lol. But, I’m so happy with the midnight navys cuz they literally go with anything and everything.

The IV is my favorite Jordan. I'm old. I was 10 when they came out, and I lived in NC. Jordan winning the 84 Championship for UNC is one of my earliest memories. So, of course, I want that Nike Air on the back. I was too poor to get them as a kid. I got the 2012 reissue, and wore them into the ground, but every time I wore them, I wanted to see that big, badass Nike Air logo on the back.. Prolly gonna have to cop these, just to finally feel like 1989 me would be impressed with adult me.

Literally when I woke up I thought of a history of Jordan 4s and this came up😱
