Yes! I've been pulling for Nathan all along. I think what the showrunner, writers, et. al don't understand about their viewers is that it was the Mountie character that made us fall in love with the show. He was central to the story so to see a saloon owner/gambler sweep in and put the moves on Elizabeth was a departure from the whole premise of the show. It was completely thoughtless.

There is nothing epic about it. They were never an item until the new writer decided she preferred Nathan over Lucas. There trying to push this great love story that was never there. Elizabeth even told Nathan she was not in love with him and it was the truth. The great love was Elizabeth and Lucas.

This episode was so good! Absolutely loved it! The love story Alfonso Moreno was telling in Seasons 6 and 7 is finally back on track! Erin and Kevin will really bring it this season and I’m here for it!

Back to watching again now that the storyline is coming back around to match the book. I think Elizabeth and Nathan will be wonderful together and can't wait to see their "great love" evolve!

I would love to see Erin and Chris do a Hallmark movie together. I'm disappointed that Elizabeth and Lucas didn't get married. I am glad that we had those moments of them together during season 8 and 9. Thanks for sharing.

She broke Nathan's heart, he deserves better than the woman the writers have turned Elizabeth into. Nathan needs to be a first choice not an afterthought

IIt was not supposed to be Nathan until you pouted.

I really never cared for Nathan but I loved Elizabeth with Lucas. She was married to a mountie and she needs a change and Lucas was really the change she needed.

After the she said that she was so glad her and Lucas can still be friends turned off as she said the same thing to Nathan when she chose Lucas. Mountie story was done already.

I miss her ling hair! She definitely looks better with linger hair

Lucas was the heartthrob of all of Elizabeth's men. Too bad he won't be in the running.

There is no way to explain a rewrite. Elizabeth and Lucas were so good together. Nathan can never replace Lucas. Hated the first two episodes.

Not even Erin can explain the choice of safe love to explain Elizabeth's relationship with Lucas without it seeming dirty and ugly. Lucas never wanted a castle, he wanted a home, that life there with Elizabeth, a family, but I don't even care anymore, because I don't want Elizabeth with Lucas anymore. She became disgusting to me. I am sorry, it is what it is.

I don't find her so much disgusting as I find her to be a drip. I fast-forward through her scenes. The utterly idiotic line "I'm glad we can be friends" is the laziest, most asinine bit of writing to come along since a typical conversation on "Three's Company". I didn't care about her and Lucas, either, and only find Nathan to be a version of Barney Fife, without the incompetence and bullet holes in the floor. They're bland, boring and a lazily created couple. She's into safe, so I guess Nathan has to direct traffic, right? Yawn, either way.

Nice try. I'm glad so many people liked the change of direction in the story, but I'm out and have freed up this hour to watch other shows.

And that is fine! You just like all the people who were upset over her choosing Lucas. It is a TV SERIES the point is to change and grow and give the characters stories to keep telling. No one cares. Just like none of the Team Lucas people gave a crap about the Team Nathan folks were upset. Watch another show and get out of the comments!

Episode 1 was all about Lucas! If your only calling it a soap opera because of the change in storyline. I wouldn't call it a soap opera at all!

I wonder if they realize how ridiculous they all sound backtracking now and trying to make us believe that Nathan was the one all along. Lucas gave her the option to go to Nathan when he let her go at her house and she chased after Lucas instead. She told Nathan she wasn't in love with him. I'm supposed to believe she's in love with Nathan. Get real. End this show while you're still on top.

She should stop giving these interviews. It’s driving viewers away. The first 3 minutes were so cringe. It was painful to watch her try to come up with a reason to trash the last 5 years of stories. If anyone at Hallmark is paying attention to the ratings decline each week . They need to put a NDA in place for the actors to stop giving interviews like these .

Erin’s hair in this interview looks straggly and like she cut it herself. One piece is longer than the rest. At least on WCTH her new hair is nicely combed.
