I feel like Leon was also a victim here. He seems like another introvert that was kinda forcefully taken there.

If he had prepared Rufus ahead of time, like a week or two, things wouldn't have turned out that way. Planning and a schedule (especially if they are punctual) could have really helped to avoid such a disaster. Have a great rest of the week Frank! :)

@@RlyOverBored as one myself, can confirm I would absolutely hate that, since he IS there anyway he could order his own food and I will eat something else (even though I am kinda scared of people eating around me and especially in my house because of having loads of food intolerances starting from when I was really little), also we could find an activity all 3 of us enjoy though I guess. Not that I would LIKE the change, but when there is no other choice might as well make the most of it...Also, I dont think I should be expected to think of the possibility that random people start showing up at the door, it is the friend s responsabilty to tell me first

Oh god, as an introvert, I feel your pain. I just HATE when people drop by unexpectedly or bring someone else without consulting me first about it. (Although as an Infp I won't vocalize it cause I want to avoid conflict but I'm sure as hell gonna be silently screaming mentally the entire time.)

I got to point where I explained to my parents and friend to forewarn me, not only because I'm an introvert, but also because I have social anxiety. They are generally very understanding and respectful about it. They apologize when they genuinely don't have enough change to properly warn me.

As an INTJ: Tim would be dead to me. Leon can stay; he looks like he gets it.

Mum called to tell me that a bunch of relatives whom I apparently met when I was born will be arriving at my place in 10 minutes. It was 11 AM in the morning, I was in my bed with a chicken coop for my hair, my living room was a mess with pillows and blankets strewn across the floor, and the only thing in the fridge that was enough to feed all the people was milk. I think I saw my life flash before my eyes that day.

True but with me it's more like, all of this never comes out of my mind. I just keep on thinking how to get out of the situation without being rude to the other person and without hurting their emotions. At the end, I've to adjust and match others' wavelength while dying inside. It gets worse, when all of such situations end and you still suffer thinking about them, regretting how you could've escaped or it had not been planned in the first place. Moreover, I hate it when people who know you well do this expecting you to adjust and not correcting themselves because they have social obligations towards others as well (which is not problematic unless their obligations make others suffer).

When I got a notification for this video, I STOPPED my work and paused to watch it!! BTW, great work Frank, and I would be horrified if this happens to me. And I think all of us loved Tommy and Kevin's cameo. 😊

I have had this exact experience. It's weird and not fun. And bringing a STRANGER? UNANNOUNCED? What is this, a bus station?

Tip for anyone who needs it: Just install a CCTV outside. You'll know when someones or somethings outside. Unexpected guest you say, not anymore. Kinda.

I could not stay with my first roommate as she kept on bringing people to the room and they used to stare a lot. The roof of the house (as I am from a summer oriented country) was the only place where I preferred to stand when the visiotors came, but what about rainy days? And there was another room on the roof where three very talkative and judgemental girls lived. My second roommate was again a popular girl. She had innumerable friends and there was always a stranger in the room asking me why I was so quiet. And if her friends were not there, she would video call her boyfriend which needed me to go out of the room. Then my roommate decided to change the room and I heard from one of her friends that she was constantly complaining to them about my being very quiet. According to her, sharing the room with me gave her the feeling that she was in a graveyard all day long.

As an ISFJ, I would initially feel kinda bad that I let the 'others' down then gradually feel relief with the Exact same genuine laugh at the end lol.

More precise title, "when a non-flexible introvert gets an unexpected guest". I'm a very introverted introvert but really like to go with the flow. People who get easily flustered during change of plans actually kind of annoy me (INFP-A speaking). I wonder, is getting flustered by change an introvert thing or more a conscientiousness thing? But mbti has helped me see where different people are coming from, including people I would have used to simply call "rigid" or "whiny". I still much prefer flexibility but can be more considerate now. Anyway, serious thought blurp in response to a funny skit. I have been adopted by an extrovert. I'm not exactly antisocial as an INFP, so when I'm sad, there's always the one ENTP friend that I ask if she is available to hang out. And if she says yes, I almost always expect her to invite 2 other people. It's okay because she knows who to invite and who NOT to invite. But the other day, she invited my crush and didn't tell me - well it's her invitation to hang out, though, so it's not really my thing. But she purposely did that so I spent the whole time being flustered on the inside. Noticing his every move and not really being able to think things through when I say or do or eat something. The guy is an ISFJ. Ha! Now I wallow in my thoughts thinking if we have a chance - if maybe that's why she brought him along because there's a chance that he fxghjhsjjwnjnw. I purposely distance myself from the guy I like if I think they're too good for me. It would be a pain to see and read my thought process now. Hahahaha. 🤣 Huhuhuhu. 😭

I would be horrified. And I would be having a discussion with your friend. I mean... is she really your friend? That seems like major boundary crossing if she did that to you on purpose. Telling you he would be there is one thing, but NOT telling you? You obviously know her much better than I do, but seems highly inapproriate way to "set you two up" if that was her intentions. I would die. Literally die. I don't know what I would do. Love can't be forced that way imo - ENFP

when even an extrovert is horrified by a way to set people up you know that it is bad lol. The issue is not talking about it in general imo. I bet that ISFJ was just as awkward about it if you dont know each other very well. Reminds me of the one time my friends decided to bring someone new to a meetup without telling me. It was the first time we had seen each other in a while, I thought it would only be the 3 of us there and we ended up being like 8. I genuinely got so mad I almost didnt go anymore. Distancing yourself from people you like doesnt sound too healthy though

@@carissahill3414 I should have clarified, it wasn't just the 3 of us. It was her mom's birthday, and she was driving them to our neighborhood to celebrate at a friend's place. That other "friend" i know. Basically like a neighbor, the age of her mom. My friend (ENTP) used to live in the area so she comes around ever so often, even if it's to drive in from another city. The ISFJ guy never lived here. He's her neighbor from over a block away. So there was no expectation for him to be here. She brought her 3yr old kid, her mom and my ISFJ crush. So, it was a bit of a get-together. I felt a little weird about the whole situation too though, cuz he is the only one who didn't really "know" anybody there. Also, before anyone says anything, my friend has a fiancé. It's not a possibility for them to be together. LOL. I felt it was weird. His family (ISFJ) and hers are close though... and it is sort of like him to tag along. But i don't know what he was thinking tagging along to a place where he knows I might be. We're sort of friends, too, i guess. Me and him. I mean, like, we know each other from work.

Still a bit sus how it was that few people and only HIM there outside of you, your friend, her kid and her mum, I d have expected an extrovert to invite more people to a party unless the mom is an introvert herself or your friend was trying to keep the invitee list small for you. All I know is that most of the parties I have seen would have way more than 4 people, even I am pressured on my birthdays to invite more people (nevermind the fact that people tend to have holidays planned in July and not come anyway...)

@@edi0157 Yup. I mean, like I said, it's her invitation. I didn't mean to give the wrong impression about my friend. It was just, like, she invited me but didn't tell me he was going to be there. And then, like, me and 2 of my other friends my age were hanging in the back of the house for a bit (without the others), and she sort of came over to us (without my crush) and told them, "guys, i brought along the guy she likes." And thus these additional 2 people who also didn't have an idea that I liked the guy, learned about my crush. That's the reason why i mentioned she kind of did that on purpose. I mean, they're all my close friends actually, but it was a bit out there? A little heads-up might have been nice. Everyone was kind of chill. There was a few solid teasing moments, which might be a bit weird bec. everyone else was meeting him for the first time. I didn't want him to think he was being introduced as "the guy INFP(me) has a crush on." Wouldn't that be a bit awkward? Although there was no open-teasing, mostly just nudges and our friends asking me about it behind the scenes, which i hope he didn't overhear.

Oh my gosh!! A family member from my hubby's side did this to us once!!! They brought two other people to "surprise" us, like it was a good thing. Wtf?!! I was so pissed!!! Wasn't ready for that!! I didn't know what to say cause they drove three hours to us, so all I said was "hope i have enough food". To which one on the people said to me "oh they don't eat much". Yeah.....cause that helps me. Smh
