I spent many years of my life feeling like I didn't fit anywhere. I recently discovered that it was my rare INFJ personality type. One of the most fulfilling times in my life was my 8 years volunteering in a hospital near me. I was scheduled to spend 4 hours one day per week distributing magazines, books, personal care items etc. After a while, patients began telling me about their trials etc. and I was responding in a way they appreciated. my 4 hours became 6, then 8, and occasionally 10! The more I was listening and understanding, the more people started to want to talk and the more satisfaction I was receiving! I would end my time there exhausted, but it was nice kind of tired, knowing I did some good. I only did it one day per week because I needed my down time to recuperate and recharge. I learned during that time to understand and appreciate my differences.

I feel like what you said is very true about INFJ's wanting to influence a small group. They don't want the credit, they'd like to touch the lives of an individual, and then let them touch the lives of others, by making it their own, while having the same core value. INFJ's do not desire to be famous, they have the desire to help, and if they can keep at a low profile, they tend to be more effective.

There are few people who seem to want to listen to me. I think I'm more invisible. My Ex wanted to listen to himself, and tried to make me listen, do, and think what he thought I should. So, my opinions didn't matter. I was dismissed and devalued. It was not reciprocal. I have to say that I like myself better after leaving him. Not having influence in my life caused me to become depressed. Now, I'm better. I nurture plants.

Several years ago I would go birdwatching and I would see Wren's at a certain place. I called that place Wren's Corner, I had my hopes as it brought back a special memory. I had two meetings with INFJs this week. Both had features of exploring deeper things than most other people will which is one of the reasons I like your type. Also they seem to like my intensity which is nice. Yesterday I spoke with one about feelings and relationships and almost no one else will explore such a topic other than at a surface level. We both have romantic interests in early stages and being of opposite genders I suggested we discuss what I refer to as "decoding the secret language of the opposite gender". I feel as you do as well that most people do not seem to care about deeper and intense experiences. Neither of the INFJs seem intimidated by this and one said they find me endearing. I think INFJs have a strong ability to validate the experiences of others. I remember what one INFJ said in a video ... paraphrased, "Show me what you are not showing the world, I will hold it for you."

Love that you made it just your name. It’s personal, distinctive, and genuine. And probably the easiest way to cross platforms, which I hadn’t considered until now. I recently started uploading videos and was considering changing the name of my channel to make it less personal, but I’m also noticing that a lot of other INFJs on KZread are recognized b y their real names. It might also be a good way to seem more... human and relatable, since a lot of our qualities would have us seem or feel otherwise. Thanks for the awesome content, and contributing to the growing INFJ community on KZread. Gonna do my part as well, and all you guys are instrumental help and inspiration. Thanks again!

When I am paying extra attention to what others are telling me, I may look very intense. Often time I get told, "Why are you freaking out? You should see your face. Relax. It is okay." I am always left speechless. Honestly, I don't feel anxious. It reminds me of cats' faxial expressions: when cats are being too attentive when looking at humans, humans tend to believe cats are being judgmental.

The prophet Cave thing is so funny to me , because I always tell my mother I wish I could just go and live in the middle of the Woods for weeks or months and I would be glad that there's a little town maybe within 15 miles or more that I can visit for a couple days and then go back to the woods. The second thing is something that weighs on me ,the influence, sure I can pride myself in the influence , and I feel very guilty for that it can almost put me into a coma because it's linked to me feeling like a manipulator and then very sinful for being a manipulator and prideful. I try to tell myself and , I really do believe I try, to only take someone's own personal components and help them by moving around their components, to see the light so to speak. However if someone's irking me or completely dullsville I will plant seeds, and I'll even try to water them and then if they really drive me crazy I'll send in a tsunami.

Perhaps a play on the “Realm of Thought” like the “Realm of Ren”, or “Insights with Ren”, or “Ren’s Real Talk”, or “Deep Thoughts with Ren”. There is a few suggestions lol. Regardless of what you call it, i will still be back! Horray, for not changing your avi lol after watching your interview with Pucokie that you recommended, I finally figured out the meaning behind it and I find its symbolism very suiting! As for your video I agree with what you said. I still have to hone how to put my vision into proper words to influence others better. I tend to use my abstraction when talking to people and they always end up confused, but when I put it into simpler terms they tend to thank me for it. It does in the end still feel very rewarding. Great video Ren!

Everything you said here I'm can relate to, although I couldn't articulate it as you did. I'm glad that you mentioned the cliche that INFJ's want to be left alone and keep to themselves. Some people tell me that I'm outgoing and sociable and others say I'm a quiet home body. They are both correct. :-) In general I'm definitely an introvert but I CAN appear to be extroverted. I need time alone to ponder, self reflect and process things in my mind.

His Si is tamed, and integrated, but he has this uneasy relationship with it. He loathes when control is imposed, especially when it's incompetent. He also has this hyper-order in relationship to developing healthy routines, for himself or others, in a way that you can tell-- and he has said-- relates to the total lack of this in his youth.)

I don't understand how so many people are motivated to do their jobs which usually seem boring and mundane, and then they just go home and do chores and mundane things. Never understood that. I can see a contradiction here in that INFJs are highly motivated but can procrastinate so much in doing things because they live so much in their heads. INFJs want to do perfect, important things. I think Sensing types just think F types are stupid and/or lazy.

Hi Neiljjm, I'm trying to think of the video but I can't figure it out... Do I really say that I made a video on INFJs and intimacy, or do I say something else than "intimacy"?

Hey Ren. Your comment was more like, " INFJ;s artistic expression is very intimate..." Something along those lines. It is an intriguing observation.

Hi Ren, the comment is around the 9:00 mark. The comment was more about how the Ni vision is something that is intimate but should still be shared with others. Do you remember which video? Thanks.

When you were talking, I thought about Ren's words/ Ren's words of philosophy/ Ren's philosophy/ Ren's thoughts/ Ren's whatever you decide xD What I mean is that it would be nice the name change. Also, what you said about intensity and influence were particularly relatable. It's scary and empowering knowing that you can influence someone else's thoughts, feelings and actions.

I agree with you that it can be a little scary! Glad you related to the content. And thanks for the suggestion, by the way! I like Ren's words, but I feel like Ren's Room is more... inclusive, maybe?

Hi from a Brazilian INFJ Ren! Great Videos! Question (for a video maybe): What do you think of the Big Five Personalite Traits? Do you think it may be complementary to the MBTI?

Hi Victor, thanks for your comment! It's great to know an INFJ from Brazil :) Yes, I do think MBTI and Big5 are complementary to a degree. It's not a perfect correlation but it's there. I think I'll make a video on my Big5 results soon, but I might have to do the test again :)

Hey, Victor! I'm a Brazilian INFJ as well!! In which state do you live? About the Big5, I see a lot of correlations and also differences. The biggest difference for me is that you are somewhere within a scale of each trait instead of a dichotomy of letters - even though the letters serve just to organize the stack of cognitive functions. My results on the B5: openness was high, at 79% (N?) conscientiousness was 62.5%, which is in the moderate range (J?) extraversion was low, at 25% (I?) agreeableness was high, at 73% (F?) neuroticism was high, at 94% (Turbulent) "Core Pattern: Empathic idealist. Uses insight and creativity to help others. Thinks about how the world could be a better and more beautiful place"

I took the Big5 a long time ago, (where did you took yours by the way?) i got: Openess 78% Conscientiousness 52% Extraversion 25% Agreeableness 70% Neuroticism 95% this is an average. I took many tests and they came out more or less the same.
