So good! Just ended a relationship with a guy because he said he loved God and wanted a wife, but had no vision. I asked him about his prayer life-almost non existent, I asked what God called him to do-he didn't know, I asked what he was studying in the Word- he regurgitated what is pastor said; no study of his own. I asked what his goals were naturally and professionally- no clue. Not putting him down, he was very gentlemanly and sweet to me, but God showed me that he wasn't ready. This is just confirmation that a man cannot lead if he doesn't know where he's going.

I had the same experience! He asked for Grace in learning but he had no desire or vision for God in his actions. If we cannot be lead, how can we expect them to change through marriage? It will only lead to our own misery. Both need to propel each other forward towards God with purpose and joy!

Faithfulness is not about trying to please the other person or scared of getting caught. It's about the broken intimacy with the Father that happens as a result of infidelity. When we are faithful to God, we will be faithful to our (future) spouses. At the end of the day, it's all about Jesus and He has to be at the centre of it all.

PREACH!!! Oh my gracious, this is the TRUTH! Why in the world is there so much focus on the relationship with your spouse when we are not even together with Christ FIRST?! If the spouse is deceased during the marriage, how are we going to continue on? We have to have Jesus Christ as the center of our life first! Our relationship has to be with him first. Marriage is not a game. The event is one day but when you're in the covenant, my gracious, that's when everything that you have learned in your relationship with God kicks in. It's very imperative.

lovelychick84 Amen! Our relationship with God is the most important because that is how we become more Christ-like. A by-product is being Christ-like in our earthly relationships. Having reverence for our covenant with God causes us to respect our covenant with our spouses. It is all about the Father and glorifying Him. God bless you sis!

A lot of sisters aren't ready for a kingdom man. Some sisters are ready to be cultivated or lead. They've been thru so much and haven't healed that they hurt the very kingdom man they have prayed for because she can't recognize what unconditional love looks like. It overwhelms her, you can wash her in the word all you want but it her ears aren't tuned to heaven you pretty much preaching to a wall. She has to be ready!!! This isn't said enough, divorce is super high and sisters are doing the most filing. We must educate both sides, I understand the importance of focusing on the man because he must lead. I asked God for a man with the same qualities as my Father and let me tell you. God showed up and God showed out. It is completely opposite of anything I've experienced or anyone I ever met and as I continue to seek Gods direction, my discernment regarding my movements about him and my movements as a Godly woman become clearer and clearer. We are total opposites however the pieces just fit. We keep God first and take it day by day. It's truly been amazing. I absolutely love this channel. Anytime you can connect present day situations with spiritual teachings and and avenues of understanding you have what we often call "FIRE". You guys are an amazing couple and definite role models.
