Whatever You do, DON'T Touch This Setting in FL Studio!

Музыка

There are many myths about FL Studio. There are also plenty of FL Studio mixing tips and tricks out there that people have published with the best intentions, but not all of them are great advice. Some could even completely mess up your mixing and mastering. One of those myths or tips and tricks regarding FL Studio has to do with the panning law utilized by FL Studio.
FL Studio has two different panning laws that can be used. Triangular panning law and circular panning law. The panning law in FL Studio directly affects your mixing. Circular panning law is enabled by default. I've seen many recommend changing from one panning law to the other because it's supposed to make your fl studio projects sound better (better sound quality). Unfortunately, this is usually really bad advice, and in this video, I'll explain why you should never change from one panning law to another unless it's the very first thing you do in a new project before you start working on it.
If you change this setting after a project has been partially or completely mixed down, it will mess up the mixing whenever panning has been used.

    Imagine the nightmare that panning automations could be without circular panning law. You would have to figure out how to automate the volume perfectly to stay constant if a constant volume is what you are going for.

    All who still write GOD as god = then they still stating that they serving the baphomet - the false god and still PERISH into torment. There is GOD - the CREATOR and There is god - the baphomet - the false god. Know it and understand it. There are channels that deserves the attention of the whole world. - can you name these? that give answers to the whole mankind. Sad that any amongst you ain+t bothered enough to do a little researching and find out all the REAL ORIGINS about many stuff the world wants us to like - have - do - keep. All there is to say : the more we search and end up knowing - the less garbage we let into our lives. “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” 2 Timothy 3:16 (KJV) One piece of the MISSING TRUTH IS: that chatolics were never CHRISTIANS - they are satanic like any other religion. How can we say that CHATOLICS ARE CHRISTIANS when CHRISTIANITY WAS NEVER A RELIGION? We can`t have unconfused lives if we bring religions into reality or make these reality. - only thing we would have is CONFUSED REALITY. As we call upon the name of the LORD/GOD - we already believe that HE is and TRUST IN HIM. A sinner don`t call upon the name of the LORD - their too PRIDEFUL - they block out GOD`S QUIET VOICE IN THEM and GOD BLOCKS OUT THEIR PRAYERS. - That`s the reason SINNERS WONT BE HEARD. None of us can`t do GOD`S WILL if we do not let ourselves listen the QUIET VOICE OF GOD. All who do call - in them have change already taken place. A heart and mind that wants to REPENT. - that`s why we get saved when we call upon the name of the LORD. And now if our wish to REPENT was real - then WE DO GO AND SIN NO MORE. Are we all able to reach the point of no longer sin at all? - YES WE ARE - or CHRIST life on earth becomes worthless and pointless. kzread.infovideos kzread.infovideos kzread.infovideos "believing everything a pastor says because then you end up following man instead of God through Jesus Christ." - That`s why there`s saying: READ YE THE BIBLE 1ST - THEN PRAY AND THEN BOTHER TO HEAR WHAT ANOTHER HUMAN SAYS. - you never have heard it? Let me ask: which part/book of the bible is fiction? since a lot of you thing that bible is wrong and CHRISTIANITY is religion: (CHRISTIANITY WAS NEVER A RELIGION, IT WAS ALWAYS REALITY) Then you can explain 100% to me HOW CAN A SPIRIT DIE? Humans = spirit beings. WE ARE SPIRITS IN FLESH FOR A TEST. And don`t be mad about GOD if it`s only humans with deceived mindsets that have hurt you. My online name is THE HARSH TRUTH OUT THERE because the TRUTH IS HARSH. if it weren`t so would i bothered to use this line of words? We been deceived generations after generations - so why do we wonder that the truth sets in slowly? Be ye fire on GOD and seek out HIS WILL that you can do and save others from forever torment. Keep your distance from them (the wicked sinners) as often as you can for 2 reasons: 1.) They are greedy, selfish and pure evil and will corrupt you too, 2.) They will not be what they seem to be. They seem just like your parents, siblings, friends, co-workers - right? - you 100% sure they are? What if they aren`t even humans? Celebrating our b - days = making ourselves idols for whole 24 hours. Let GOD be our idol always. Isn`t death and ageing our last enemies that will be found no more? - so why celebrate it? Be ye SOBER - ALWAYS. For the devil is lurking around. I have a Brother who truly thinks/believes that a 1 year old child can decide what gender she or he is. Is truly the TRUTH that much hidden? - i mean the decision about are we boy or girl is not even given to any of us to make, IT WAS AND IS MADE FOR US. We either born as MALES OR AS FEMALES. Real CHRISTIANS AKA CHRIST FOLLOWERS DO NOT HAVE Industry - so feel free to come out of them all. ROAD TO LIFE IS NARROW AND NOT STRAITH AT ALL. ONLY FEW FIND IT. - so do not follow the masses, but be WISER and turn around and walk back. You never have heard the saying: DIE AS YOU CAME TO BE. (that means: do not mix your DNA) there`s 2 side of every coin: THE TRUTH on one side and THE LIES on the other side. Which side of the coin to you use/live after? THE TRUTH or THE LIES? No human soul stays on earth "hunting" after death - they either go to HELL or into ABRAHAM'S BOSOM to wait to be JUDGED. In situations like these videos show - you ALWAYS deal with DEMONS. Why nobody amongst you say these words: GET BEHIND ME SATAN AND LEAVE ME IN PEACE, to them that hunt you? - It dose work. For my house was once hunted too and now for many years is peace under the roof. About the RAPTURE: HE/GOD come as a theft in the night catching the WORTHY away. Be ye all on watch. Be ye all READY. What awaits us all?: We will hunger, We will freeze, We will be betrayed, We will die. The question here is: are you all TRULY willing to lay it all down for CHRIST sake? Let me add more of what matters: HAVING A FEAR OF GOD IN US - MATTERS, LIVING IN TRUTH AND SHARING IT WITH OTHERS - MATTERS, KEEPING ONESLEVES HEALTHY AND FRUITFUL - MATTERS, HAVING AND KEEPING A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD, OUR CREATOR - MATTERS.

    Once at a local rec studio, I listened to one of the other new members of the community. He mentioned I should try something new with my music & manually pan the high hats & bass guitar notes on various adjustments. I decided to listen to the music I created 8 years ago & thought "Why the hell did I think it was a good idea?" I currently hate how the track sounds & I don't have the original FL Studio project files to edit the song lol It'll be stuck like that forever.

    I think so. If you use triangular panning law, you have to increase volume by compressors or limiters. So you do it manually. I think it'll be better, if it adds volume automatically.

    But according to the FL Studio Manual, the Circular Pan Law Setting deducts -3db when panned to dead center! Every sample that loads is automatically panned to dead center, so that means every sample panned dead center has 3db deducted by FL Studio. For example I want the Kick sitting at -6 DB in my mix, If I have Circular Pan Law on will my kick be reduced by 3db so it will be sitting at -9 DB ?? Does that mean I always have to add 3 db back to my sample to reach my planned DB output? Really confused here :/

    Do you mean the horizontal bars showing the notes are grey (instead of the default green)? If so, when you open the piano roll and pick the pencil item to draw a note, there is a rectangle in the top left corner that lets you pick a colour. I presume yours is grey, but you can click on it and change it. As with most things in FLS, you can read the online help files if something goes wrong. Just right click on the "broken" thing and click Help.

    Music 🎼 🎶 🎵 question 🙋‍♂️ why every song has to start from beginning to end aka start to finish is it because of song structure aka the arrangement or is it because of the story that’s in the song structure aka lyrics?

    Why? Most people these days work "in the box" and rarely use more than 20-60 channels. You only really need pro tools if you have a dedicated recording studio and need an insane amount of channels, gear combability and so on. For basic mixing, you can do everything that pro tools can do in any DAW really. :)

    Glad to see that you've watched some of my older videos too :) You're the first one to notice. With over 100 videos made, eventually, you have to reuse or remake some of the old content which is still relevant. most people won't even click on a 5-year-old video, thinking it's no longer relevant. This topic is still as relevant as it was back in 2017, so I've modified it slightly and reuploaded it to get the word out, as I see very few people are still watching the older video. Also, I still see people fiddling with these settings and they really shouldn't, unless it's done when starting a new empty project. :)

  • @laffikdcaps
    @laffikdcaps2 жыл бұрын

    none of the settings is right. when only one speaker sounds (in left or right pan position), it has to sound at double volume (+6dB) - ONE speaker does job for TWO, hence 2/1=+6dB. Circular sounds only +3dB in extreme points - not enough, triangular has +0dB... So, there's need for curve that would have 1.0 for both speakers when in the middle and 2.0 for each of extreme points on left and right (or 0.5 in the middle and 1.0 on each extreme pan positions). there's no such a setting. only case I saw this law is genial DigiBooster on Amiga.

    I mixed entire albums on fl studio since 2005 it doesn't have any difference with any other DAW and the sound quality is amazing because the sampling process algorithms are really good even better than other DAWs.. And you don't need any third party plug ins flstudio comes with everything that you need for vocal processing.

    And then, once you change this setting, all the time you spent getting all that panning just right will be for nothing, because now it is all messed up... What's wrong with educating people and perhaps saving someone from experiencing lots of frustration? There's a lot of confusion around this topic, which is why I made the video in the first place. Seems to me like you didn't even watch it before commenting. 🤔
