This dude is a godsend! No weird tips, no "this is the one secret you need", just straight up, objective, easy explanation of essential mixing methods!
Man, night and day difference with the mult-band vs. the regular compressor. I'm definitely going to start reaching for the multi-band more often. Thanks for this video!

If you want even more control, I'd reach for a Dynamic EQ too. They let you really dive into and the interface is more familiar to most of us :)

@@inthemix Funny, I actually re-watched your Dynamic EQ video for the second time after watching this video even before you replied. So yeah, I'm realizing both Dynamic EQ and Multi-band Compression are two tools I have been under utilizing. Thanks!
Off topic: Is it weird to think Michael might be good at reading audiobooks or meditative instructions?? :D :D

i literally just watched the vocal compression video and wanted to see if there is any mb comp tutorials and you upload it minutes later man im shocked 😂
such a good tip. I am starting to mix my first record, and I am going through all your videos and applying them. Then mixing and remixing each song using the new tricks. This is hugely helping my skill
You’re one of my favorite KZreadrs about music production, your explanations are very clear, your tips are so useful, and your voice and gestures transmit very good vibes!
I keep running into your videos... It's not just the knowledge or the fact that you use the same DAW...But you're laid back and there's no waste of time showing off, but still a passion about what you're doing. Definitely one of the best music making channels on KZread. Clean, clear info too!
Man never stop this, you're a whole school by yourself Thanks for sharing, thanks for the love

I have been waiting for this for sooo long, thanks Michael, this meant so much!
Just wanted to leave a comment, first video of yours I've seen. I really appreciate your thoughtful explanations and careful pacing, I feel like I'm in good hands learning from you.
Another great tutorial vid. The best take-away for me was the difference between using an EQ and a Compressor, don't know why I hadn't thought of it before !
Muchas gracias por los vídeos! Siempre he aprendido mucho de ti!
In The Mix, you're the best youtube channel online! for mixing in the box. As always thanks for all the work you're putting out here.
Thanks so much Michael!
I think I'm going to start writting down on a booknote most of the things you teach us, because each video is literraly a gold mine. I love the way you debunk each subject and make it understandable to others DAWs users. Thanks to you my music gets better a little bit each day !
You're doing such a great work...keep it up Michael🔥
Great Tutorial! Good to see Studio One getting some love.
Bet this channel is the most trusted one and also I'm sure no one teaches music Production like Micheal does...thank you so much sir!
your videos are actually so calming
Multiband compressors and dynamic EQs are fantastic when it comes to solve certain problems, like the one you just shown here and deessing.
thank you so much Michael
HIIIII Michael as always Thanks for the tutorial!!! Love the videos your genuine attitude and your willingness to help others!

Thanx again - very helpful examples!!!
Beautifully explained !
That was very illuminating!
Thank you for the awesome tutorials. ✌🏻
Great tips. Thanks!
Very helpful. Many thanks!
Thank you for this video ! I was asking for it and here it is 😊
Great tutorial!
Loving your videos! So succinct and articulate. Thank you so much!
I recently used multiband compression successfully for the first time after watching your videos. I had a frustrating buildup where the sub bass coming in was making everything else sound a little quieter because I was using regular compression on the instrument bus. Using multiband fixed it! Thank you :)
One of the best multiband compression tutorials!
Thank you for all the knowledge given to us!
This is a really good example as opposed to a vocal that ends up sounding annoying after the 30th time it gets played.
A technique that I have ignored for so long..sounds actually dope!!🔥
You're so generous, Michael!
There's nobody out there explaining these things better than you! Can't wait for the video about compression on drums!
Smoooth presentation, good job. So comfortable with your style, and improved video editing in general! Thanks, M

Man you’re a savior ! I was trying to understand multi and compression so hard nowadays 😭
I've been watching a lot of vids of mult compr, but I liked this one cause it compares with the typical eq and compressor. Thanks!
Thc for helping so many producers like me Never stop being a good teacher thank you 🙏
Kool stuff like always
You're a really good teacher. Thanks for doing this video, it has really helped me.
Great tutorail, everything is explained super clearly!
You always bring the best out of the rest ✌🎹
Outstanding knowledge gain here !
thanks for the great demo .you can also fix one-offs like those cello bumps by creating a strong EQ / compression fix and only activating it for the quick passage with automation. If you have enough recorderd material it can also be possible to crossfade parts of other clean notes into the bad one to replace it in the mix. Surgical edits are usually challenging but kind of fun when you find a solution and no one will know
Great quality and amazing help! Liked :)
this really helped thank you
Love your personality and your information, many thanks, and please keep the good work:)
thank you for the knowedge you giving me every time man !
