The order recognizes fentanyl’s toll on the community and lists more than 3 dozen actions to expand efforts around prevention, intervention, treatment, aftercare, and coordination.

I so love Whatcom County, Bellingham specifically. I lived there for over 30 years. Fentynal is a new problem. It'll take some time.

It’s been killing people for at least 5 years now and this is a “new” problem? Maybe if you’ve been living under a rock.

Yes it's a major problem. But what's the plan to deal with xylazine?(tranq) There's nothing like narcan to treat od's, nothing for withdrawal, suboxone etc don't work because it's not an opioid. That's why kensington (philly) got so bad, and it's already here, at least one confirmed death from it here in whatcom co, it's being sold straight by itself in Seattle already. Nobody seems to be talking about this and this stuff is extremely bad, will spread quickly because oftentimes people don't know it's in whatever they're using until it's too late
