I like todd’s journey because I’m in a situation ! 2-1/2 yrs ago I caught Covid and almost died. I was in the hospital for 6 months and I now have lung issue so I’m on oxygen. I can’t workout like I use too and I gained over 100lbs and I tried counting calories, keto and the doctors gave me diet pills and Ozempic which worked for about a week but I was still craving food ! Plus I wasn’t getting any support so I just got married two years ago and two months ago I talked to my wife about getting bypass surgery but she said her brother had it done and it didn’t work for him ! Anyway I told her I’m gonna start carnivore diet but I need her help by not offering or telling me I need to eat vegetables or anything that’ll destroy my chances for success ! Well I’m two months in and I have no joint pain, no cravings, more energy, sleep better and my resting 02 is 95 which was 91 and lm down from 308 to 284 which I couldn’t get below 300 in 8 months ! I love this lifestyle and now my wife is thinking about trying carnivore too, so I’m excited to see her do try it too ! Aloha and God bless from Texas 😊🤙🤙🤙

I've been carnivore for 6 weeks and I just wanted to mention something about iodine. I cleared some multiflora rose bushes from our property and got a fungal infection in March of 2022 called Sporotrichosis, or "Rose Handler's Disease". The fungus spreads through your lymphatic system and can go into the bone and if it reaches the lungs it can be fatal. It was spreading uncontrolled and had reached my bone causing deep pain. On the tenth day, after the first sore appeared, I started taking Potassium Iodide (KI). Once in the body, the KI is broken down and a byproduct of this metabolic process is an acid that kills the fungus. I worked up my dosage of KI from 50 mg/day up to 6,000 mg or 6 grams/day separated into 3 doses of 2 grams each. Within a few days, the pain was gone and within a week, the sores stopped spreading but it took almost a year before I was completely cured. It wasn't until I raised my dose to 8 grams a day in January of 2023 that it was finally conquered within 6 weeks of that. At that high of a dose, I was careful to take companion supplements like selenium, magnesium, vit.C, minerals, sea salt and ATP co-factors. God gave me the diagnoses and the cure and He and KI saved my life. Back in the 1800's, doctors had a saying, "If your patient is sick and you don't know why, prescribe to him the K and the I"

I stopped taking ozempic and started doing ketovore and started working out and so far I’ve lost 14 lbs, I feel better but I need to get more information about carnivore!!

@rodeca77. Ozempic or any GLP1 peptide therapies.. ARE NOT A GOOD CHOICE in fact I'd say stayfar far away from them period. However, lets be crystal clear.. There are some really awesome Peptide Therapies! Ex: CJC 1295/Impamorelin, and there are several others. There is some real science/data behind Pepetide therapy and people should understand there is a huge huge difference between crap like GLP1/Ozempic like therapies, and those that are very safe and effective. With that said..if you are more than about 40-ish pounds over weight.. you need to first drop some of that weight.. once your right around that "I need to drop 40ish pounds" you can consider Pepetide therapy like CJC 1295/ipamorelin. You need and should do your homework about Pepetide therapies. You need to get your diet under control.. and carnivore is the best way to do this.. Ladies make sure your hormones are in balance.. .and you need to start "walkng".. you have to move your body. It doesnt have to be much to start with .. start easy.. build up. Yes, KETO low carb is a super easy way to get started, but your ultimate plan is to transistion to carnivore..to really get the ultimate benifits. You can take your health back, you just have to be consistant and commit to your health.

Hi Rocdeca. I am a diabetic too & am disabled. I lost 85 lbs in two years with 70lbs of that coming off in the first 15 months. I got all of my medical information from Dr Ken Berry's videos. I also listen to Dr Ovadia (a cardiologist) and Dr Anthony Chaffee. But my biggest source of info was Dr Berry. If I can do this so can you. Feel free to ask me any questions you want. I'm not a doctor but I do want to inspire others to have their hopes of healthy weight loss come true.

I’m down 14 lbs and I feel better, my joints hurt a lot less and my blood pressure is down but I’m still working on my blood sugar! I have confidence that the high fat is definitely going to help me! I’ve been watching Dr berry and others and the different videos from women with their testimonies of weight loss and they motivate me!

Over the last 45 years, I've tried every diet under the sun, none of them worked for me. My doctor put me on phentermine and told me I should see a counselor, it's a mental issue. I was hungry all the time, phentermine stopped working after a year. She had me on other medications, but all they did was make me tired, and I noticed my memory was failing. I ended up gaining most of my weight back, I became very anemic to the point I had to have an iron infusion. During research about anemia, I ran across carnivore. I started April 9th, 2024, at my last follow-up with the hematologist my blood work was back in the normal range & I lost 8 pounds. I know I have to stay on this path because I have zero self control. I'm happy I found the carnivore community to help cure my anemia and to keep me on track. Congratulations to Todd for finding something that works for him, his weight-loss is incredible ❤

Carbohydrates force fluid into cells. When you cut them out your body will purge fluids so you lose 8 pounds per gallon. Typically, carnivore will balance a person's hormones and optimize their body weight. Weird things can happen early while the body is healing and hormones are balancing. As another person mentioned, dairy can be a good tool for maintaining weight. Dairy tends to block satiety signals allowing you to consume more calories if you need them.

So many health risks involved with medication that will not be known for years to come. Congratulations on your decision and weight loss journey Todd! At the 06:25 min. mark a book is shown after Todd mentions a book by David Brownstein, of which he can't remember the title of. As can be read on the cover, the book is by Lynne Farrow and FOREWORD by David Brownstein, MD. The book Dr. David Brownstein actually wrote about iodine is titled: Iodine: Why You Need It, Why You Can't Live Without It. Edit: The "Dr. Brownstein's Book" in the description with the link is also to Lynne Farrow's book, not the one Dr. Brownstein wrote.

Carnivore alleviated much of my suffering, but I only began to reap the euphoria people talk about when I addressed successfully my sleep apnea issues. It was only then that the bloating etc began to rapidly dissipate.

Yes hey Shell and the truth, my friend in Virginia, she had them surgery to remove the fat whatever you called that and she came to see me when my husband passed away. She flew out here. She could only eat small portions after that her stomach wouldn’t handle it and she ended up dying a few years later, they said from dementia but everything you do to your body like that with surgery they don’t tell you it has a effect your body so no nobody should take those pills and nobody should have that surgery. Just eat the meat and eggs and bacon and beef and butter this weekend when everybody’s gone, I made chicken thighs and the air fryer. I made pork chops in the air fryer and I made meatballsin the air fryer and I live by myself so I plan ahead and then stock it up love this guys attitude. He’s don’t let anybody tell you what to do. You know what you need to do and just like I did.❤

This is hopefully to help others avoid the nightmare I am still going through. I was strict carnivore for 5 years. At year 4, I started to not feel as good as I did. For the first 4 years, I felt fantastic, like superwoman. I could actually do 5 pull-ups in a row; I’d never been able to do even ONE. (I’m a 57 y/o woman) I lost a lot of weight, had crazy energy, was very happy. The only bad things: I was chronically constipated even though I ate huge amounts of animal fat and took 2 kinds of magnesium every day (glycinate & citrate); I believed the carnivore gurus’ lies that it was because there was less waste. The other lie I believed was you don’t need fiber. I have learned that fiber is what your gut bacteria needs to thrive and if it doesn’t get it, it will eat the lining of your intestinal tract! Which leads to leaky gut. I had nightly debilitating leg cramping even though I used plenty of Celtic salt and put electrolytes in all of my water. At year 5 I had an inflamed gut and became quite ill. I went keto, hoping to help my condition but nope. I had full on leaky gut which resulted in intensely itchy hives, horrible insomnia, severe depression. And I gained 20 pounds out of thin air!! Then came the adrenal fatigue. My leaky gut was healed with GAPS intro and Karen Hurd’s bean protocol, which has been miraculous. I am no longer constipated and my itchy hives are gone. So are my leg cramps. I am still trying to recover from adrenal fatigue, and had to quit the drug caffeine to do that. It’s been almost 2 years of hell. I know a lot of you will attack this post (as I would have, I was soooo convinced carnivore was THE WAY) but I feel a moral duty to warn others about what may happen to you if you continue to listen to these people who tell you to only eat one of God’s foods. He made us to need all of His macros, not just one.

I think it's a very individual thing and we need to work out what suits US, and that can change. I'm female, 82 and I find a carnivore way of eating is ideal in some ways... but. My body goes into stress mode and my sleep becomes woeful. I now add some low carb veg with dinner which has a calming effect. I tried very high fat, but my hr went through the roof at night.

I think it's quite individual as well. But I appreciate the warning. Thank you for sharing that. My plan is to lose the menopause weight, while trying to limit dairy and carbs to 20-30 grams and then move to more of an animal based Paul Saladino style diet.

So intelligently well-spoken Todd. All successful diet is lifestyle.. and carnivore is the only one that sticks .. eat more fat and the hormones can be manufactured .. no more depression .. is the biggest addon .. one year and my belly fat has only reduced a little .. .. but I was doing better when 10K steps before noon. However, with skin, hair, and mood outlook I am a new man .. I had one shoulder higher than the other now they are even .. the cravings are not all gone but about 80% .. and a bonus is saving $100 per week in food costs .. Iodinde is key and I haven't sorted the dosage .. hypothyroid.. anyone can do this ..even if weight loss is slow the health benefits are ongoing and numerous.
