Yes the quick 3 and 1/2 HOUR recharge time is awesome after 9 and 1/2 MINUTES of runtime... when it goes dead and company is coming over in 3 and 1/2 HOURS this lil beauty got u covered..

Nice comparison videos - I watched both - the adverts say that the V7 is 75% more suction than the V6 ? Are there different versions in the USA compared to the UK ?

Hi, very good your video. I have the v7 absolute. In the handheld unit there two options of power: High suction extended run and max suction. Can you explain for me the difference between them?

Great video! I own the V7 motorhead (pink/foushia colour), At home I have a lot of tiles. Would a v7 absolute soft roller cleaner head work on the V7 motorhead?

The V7 has the 'Fluffy' which comes with just the hard floor head on it. I have all hard wood or hard floors, with some rugs. Will the hard floor 'fluffy' head work on rugs ok?

I just purchased the V7 Animal. I wish you'd do a video on how to install the docking station. I absolutely love all your videos!!

What about the V7 complete?

I just got my second cordless vacuum and seems I may be having the some problem for which I returned the first one. That is trying to empty the canister. The first one I could not get it off and took the manual back to the store to learn how to remove it. The man at the store could not figure it out from the manual so he got the floor model and discovered how to do it. I realized I was doing it wrong but following his example I got it off and cleaned it. Then I could not get it back on. I took the unit back to the store and 4 people there could not get it back on either. One man finally did but with so many tries he was not sure how. At their suggestion I returned it to the store. Now I have the V8 Absolute and before I use it I wanted to take the canister out and right away I knew it was going to be a problem. Even thought I only removed it a little for a test it was difficult to get back in. In all fairness it could very well be due to my age (80) and no muscles. Do you have a video where you remove and replace the canister? I really need to see the details of the process. Actually, the manual is pretty much useless for seeing details. Thank you very much.

Is absolute the same as the complete one?

I bought a V7 Animal Extra without the HEPA filter on eBay for $186... is that a good deal? I bought it from Dyson outlet.

My V7 has a hepa filter as yours doesn’t?

A quick NOTE: You CAN also get a Dyson V7 WITH a HEPA filter. It depends on what version of the Dyson V7 you purchase (example: "Dyson V7 Complete", among others). The HEPA unit/component stands out visually at the end of the vacuum.

Good review, but the one thing I hate about cookie cutter “quick test” is that people always dump the simplest stuff onto the top of a rug and vacuum it up. It’s not real world, walk over it and grind it into the carpet like really happens. Picking stuff up off the top of a carpet should be an easy task that even a dust buster can handle.

Recently purchased the V7 it didn’t come with a crevice tool which was disappointing and the salesman told me that I couldn’t get a hard floor vacuum head, as I have 3 rooms of carpet and the rest of my home is polished hardwood I would have liked to buy the right head for the timber floors but Dyson won’t sell them separate I would have had to buy the V10 I think it was but couldn’t afford the price

Its ok on bare surfaces. You will get some scatter and it will struggle with some larger debris like cheerios (pushing it forward). But if you only have a small bare floor area to clean (without tons of debris) it may be fine - it does work. I sometimes use it on our small tile area instead of going to the closet to get the soft roller cleaner head. Yes, the soft roller cleaner head is better on bare floors but it also costs a few extra bucks.

Hey Timothy, I'd have to say I usually reach for the V7 or V8 (mostly the V8), but sometimes it's just a matter of which stick vac V6/V7/V8/V10 is closest and has a charge.

The v7 Motörhead is 249 currently. Do you think this would be the best value? My basement is a hard surface, and most of the rest of my house is carpet. I’m trying to determine which cordless vacuum to get.

Hi Angela. You can buy replacement batteries (www.dyson.com/support/journey/tools/968670-06.html) but as you can see the system is not designed to easily swap batteries back and forth. In other words having a charged battery to swap in when the other one has run out of power isn't really something you can do with this machine.

and theres a Romanian version motorhead one with blue wand ... why in the crap is it blue when mostly women are using it.
