    Thank you so much! I have mixed feelings about the Cosmelan, it's very expensive and requires SO much at home work and gives variable results. With light melasma, I think I would do a hydroquinone protocol for a few months with retinol. Alto is a vitamin C and antioxidant serum. Protects you from free radical damage Even, corrects pigments : reds, yellows and browns (non hydroquinone) I also really like the Alastin A laminate for pigmentation (non hydroquinone)

    I've heard that a downside to threads is that they cause scar tissue, and if you plan on getting an eventual face lift it can make it more difficult to work around and make things "gristly"

  • @theocbeautymd

    @theocbeautymd

    8 ай бұрын

    That is a bit of a myth. Yes they do cause scarring. Essentially, the thread gets covered by scar tissue so you are left with a thread of scar holding up your lift when the placed thread dissolves. But it really is that, a thread, so not troublesome for surgery. Some surgeons are pro and others are against threads but most agree they're here to stay.

    Hi Dr Ania I just found you, through beautiful Claudia channel 🙏. Loved your video, so I am like Claudia over 50, I do need some fullness to the cheeks, my high cheek bones are still full, but in the lower face and middle, needs help, also my under eyes are very thin, hollow, and dark circles, which I always had, due to my deep set and hooded eyes, I think, but of course after 50, I am one year in menopause so it got worse. So I was planning to get EZ prf gel to blanket whole face, and what about prejowl area, i want more snatched, but definitely not masculine jawline. I watch Dr Rajani, and he says that radiese do great job for that area. What would you suggest? Also what would be better financially to do sculptra or EZ prf gel? What would give faster and longer better results? I know that sculptra could not be used in certain areas , so maybe used them both? IAnd I definitely need to try that clear & brilliant laser . Have a blessed day🙏❤️

    RF Miconeedling is nothing to pass off to an esthetician for sure. It has to be a doctor or RN in my opinion, based on my experience. They left dot like scars under my eye and on my neck.. similar to braille. Luckily, the ZO texture repair and 3 sessions of the Face Jet Plasma treatment (Not the Plasma Pen!) resolved it on my face. Now I am going to try to do the same on my neck. Even after all I went through with the RF "Genius" Microneedling treatment (super painful), I had zero results. Whereas the Face Jet did not hurt, I saw results immediately and over time. It was remarkable. Personally I think RF Microneedling is too risky, expensive and with minimal results which make it a big waste of money.

    The loss of fat is not from lasers. It's from energy based devices like radio frequency. Lasers don't penetrate deep enough. The energy based devices, if on high settings, can melt the fat. So I'm not a fan but I do think some can be good with the right clinician

  • @theocbeautymd

    @theocbeautymd

    Radiesse is similar to sculptra in the sense that it stimulates your collagen production and no you can't dissolve it, but it also is a filler that gives volume. Sculptra doesn't fill. You can place sculptra in the temples but depending on degree of hollowing, sometimes it's better to use HA fillers. To help the under eye, you have to address the cheek lid junction

    It can be very dangerous to inject Sculptra into the temples in particular. Sculptural is permanent. Non reversible. The temple area is a danger zone for potential blindness. I know of a prominent dermatologist who won't inject Sculptra in the temple area, for fear of vascular occlusion. Better to do hyaluronic acid filler in this area. If something were to ever go wrong, Sculptra cannot reverse itself.

    @@theocbeautymd I looked weird for 3 weeks, looked normal for a week, and then it was gone. I tried it twice with two different providers.

    You could be in your 40s 50s or 60s. It’s different to say if all above works not knowing your age. Otherwise great recommendation but not very useful

    Truly coming from a kind place : unless your recent treatment is what gives your skin the reddish hue in this video, your foundation on your face does not match your neck.

    ha ha, thank you for the comment. No it's not foundation, it's high dose retinol. I wear tinted sunscreen so it's not a strong cover up

    Thank you, doctor. Can you please give a skin maintenance treatment plan consisting of lasers & micro-needling? I love both but I get confused about how many sessions yearly I need & how often. I don't wanna overdo it.
