What to Wear When Going Caving︱For Beginners︱How To Layer
Hey everybody!
I have recently learned more about how amazing caves are, and I wanted to share the really awesome photos that were taken on my most recent caving trip... as well as WHAT TO WEAR. I have seen so many people come unprepared, making the experience less enjoyable. All of these are obviously suggestions, with hope that it is helpful for first time and beginner cavers. Keep in mind that nature is unpredictable, and you will run into surprises, even underground. I experience freezing cold, thigh high water this time around, so no brand of boots would protect me, but it's all good!

Caving is one of the coolest things I have ever done, and it’s awesome because every person, at every age can do it! So get up and go on a guided trip with your nearest outfitter ASAP. But don’t go underdressed, and please don’t go without a professional if you have never done it before 🦇
You wear a down jacket in a cave? Down is really bad as when it gets were it looses the majority of it's insulating properties, plus those jackets tear real easy. Best to get wool layers underneath very hardy waterproof jackets.

It’s actually synthetic down, I’ve worn that jacket a few times and no issues. Also I was in college and poor at this time haha
