Some people like hiking boots, some people prefer rubber rain boots or wellies.     Belleville combat boots. They're fairly priced ($65-95, only get the cheap kind), and have both a zipper and laces. Once your toe end wears out (even on hiking boots) put a layer of PC-7 epoxy down. They're superb on rope, and can be treated to be waterproof. Cleaning? They don't deform in the washer, they can be powerwashed too :-) Ankle support is a meh, but when combined with crawldaddies there's no better leg protection!

    Sounds like you have your gear set! I really like my ahnus, mostly because I have really narrow feet that most hiking brands don't accomodate. Also your crawldaddies, I'm assuming you like them? I've heard mixed reviews

    @@PiffExplores They're pretty good. Superb protection but they tend to cut circulation some, but I probably tighten them too much.
