Just need to add "til all are one" at the end lol. As a new player to Legion I appreciate that there is no overlap between the core box and the battle force box.

This video series really helped me when I was first getting into legion a couple of years ago, so is well worth a watch for newbies!

@@ChosenOne-il4bm It is different than tcgs. TCGS are a lot less involved to play casually, but probably a lot more involved to play competitively. They are both awesome games to play though.

Love these videos! I picked up 2 core sets last year based on your 2022 recommendation videos, so these are a good place to find additional key units. Unfortunately, I didn't know about the battle force boxes before picking up the 2nd core set...

Just started expanding from my GAR collection from the core set. So glad to see the clone commander and specialists were what you recommended. I thought many of the same points as to the value. I really want to use rex as the commander and the clone commander as a phase 1 clone unit leader.

Been looking at starting an army for Legion, this video may have just helped me find which one I want to pick

One thing I think worth mentioning with the 501st is that its 3 sets of the ARC trooper expansion so it gives not only 3 full squads but 3 strike teams too, enough to fill out a standard list's SF slots with either. Def agree on the LAAT/LE build instructions, at least one of the smaller pieces straight up isn't shown where it goes, just suddenly is on the model in the diagrams. I think R2 is a solid addition to a cody list since cody wants to have vehicles, and adding 3po can help give out tokens to either your clones for sharing, or vehicles. The dodge might not do much (unless its a saber), but 70 points for potential 4 extra health and consistent extra aims on a vehicle is solid. Getting the secret mission point is a bit hard with his speed 1 tho and dedicating a laat for transport is a bit much compared to say an x-34 on rebels.

Got the Core set and my brother bought the Infantry Platform because he's always loved that vehicle and was surprised to see it... They pair up insanely well with the Clone Troopers and the Infantry Platform is cheaper than the T Battle Tank (points and money wise). Not to mention the Fire Support Mechanic plays in nicely with the Platform. Anyway, it's a quick buy to give yourself a heck of an edge... The firepower and gunslinger ability on the weaponry works well too... I speak as a CIS player with the core set's droids and a squad of B2 battle droids to deal with my brother's Infantry Platform, it's very hard to deal with haha

I purchased the Wookie box before I even purchased any Core Box Set. And, I will run an all-Wookie team in a heartbeat. Back in the D20 Star Wars Minis game I used to run an all-Wookie team. I lovingly called...The Hair Bear Bunch, us old heads know who they are. I will revive the Hair Bear Bunch once again in Legion and even in Shatterpoint. They have to make a Wookie unit for Shatterpoint.

I feel as well as pointing out the print errors in the 501st Legion Battle Force Box, you should also point out that some genius at AMG wrote rules that allow 4 Special Forces in a list, but only included 3 Special Forces order tokens. Also mine and others I've seen didn't come with flight stands for the Arc Troopers, and despite the UK still having a parts department the waste of space Asmodee UK seem to be 12 weeks on still haven't rectified this. It's great to spend all that cash and have miniatures I cannot use.

"what to buy first" videos are always great and tend to need to be redone every couple of years as new products come out and rules are updated.

Captain Rex have 1 issue, have no acces to pierce keyword, via pierce or lethal, if rex have at least lethal 1 would be a god tier commander

thinking of getting into legion primarily for painting the minis, i love mandos - what kind of faction would be the best foray into that?

Started legion recently coming from 40k, so far GAR is the faction i like the most. But i feel their roster is a Little lackluster, especially on the operative Side( no Jedi There really?). I hope they are gonna release more content for Them this year.

Gotta wonder when Cody comes out who is gonna have the better list ? The 501st themed one or the star corps ? Be a cool battle for sure

I have the core box stuff and my plan is for the 501st, Commander Cody, and a Saber Tank. Because nothing says infantry game like a mechanized force.

Deffinetely the clone battle force is the best one out, no repeted units with the core and the value of it is crazy!

Started off with the Shadow Collective battle force and quickly started expanding into GAR, super excited to fully expand into all that this army has to offer

@@matthewbryan6280 GAR obviously has a bit more diverse play style depending on what you start out with while SC has limitations on your units, but I have found that it all depends on what you are looking to get out of it. You can get a full 9-10 activation list with two SC start let boxes and GAR is going to be a little more expensive to get into, but it’s very much like Crabbok suggests it’s what you like and want to play/have as a collection and you can always branch out and build multiple armys

@@charlescassels3826 my 10 activation list with SC consist of 2 battle force boxes and Gar Saxon as there aren’t many other options for them, but they are a lot of fun to play as and painting Maul’s Mandos was and awesome bonus

Where do I find the 'nerf's to Rex? I can't find anything in the errata document that's on the AMG site. Is it hidden somewhere else? And is there a place you download updated unit cards for printing?

As a Rebel player it's good info to see if not 100% relevant, but if I do start a second faction, it would be this one.

trying to get into legion after years of following it, but before i know what to buy i have an stupid question: i´m buying it to play with a friend and that´s it, no tournaments no anything, just to play it at home with one copy of each core set and a bunch of expansions, even if we make big games with a lot of points, even if we follow the rules and stick to 500-800-1600 points, there´s one thing bothering us, which is mixing phase 1 and 2 troopers on the battlefield so we were thinking.. since we´re not compiting anywhere, can we get a bunch of phase 2 clone troopers, save their cards, and just use the rules for the phase 1 clones with the phase 2 minis, considering we´ll also have captain rex, commander cody, arc troopers and stuff like that on the battlefield? or would that be too confusing and illegal even for a fun, chill game night at home? maybe 3d printed minis from etsy would be better? give me your opinion and best advice on that if you can! thanks and amazing videos, very helpfull for new players!

This game always interested me, but as a 40k player... Getting into another wargame gives me hesitation

I’m glad to see a Cody model coming out soon, but I hope he isn’t so good that he becomes and auto-include for every GAR list. The great thing about the starter set phase 1 clone models is that they are really easy to build…and they are excellent corps units still.
