Oh my god, i remember going to Girls Make Games' coding camps when i was a kid, went like 2 years in a row, it was super fun! Can't believe one of their games is getting on Switch, huge props to the kids who made it! It looks way better than any games I've made, and I'm in college fsncjsnfn

I played this game on PC when it was first released. Awesome to see it's getting a release on Switch as well! It's a charming little game written by some very talented young ladies that's easily worth the $5 asking price.

I don't get why people are bejng so negative towards this. It looks *fine.* Not every game is gonna be some huge thing, and not every game *should* be. :P Besides, the backstory behind the game itself is cute. A group won a competition and got to turn their game into a full product. I respect this game for that alone.

Games with water biomes are generally rejected for having slow gameplay, I hope this game is interesting so that it is not abandoned shortly after playing it

Rejected by who? That is quite the generalization to make. Maybe you don't like slower paced underwater games but that doesn't make it a majority opinion. I find that sort of gameplay to be relaxing, and I know I'm not the only one. And I should note that I'm not trying to imply that this is some kind of majority opinion either. Different people like different kinds of games, that's the point I'm making here.

One of the most enjoyable parts of Mario and Sonic games are the underwater levels they included. Moving around at a slower pace was unique and fun. More reaction time to avoid enemies.

I love it, the ocean is pretty much my favorite setting and the art style makes all the sea creatures really pop as unique characters. Very exciting!

As someone who grew up on games that looked and played like this I can't wait to dive in

I don't know if Nintendo can hear me and take my idea, but once I had a dream about a new Donkey Kong game called "Donkey Kong Country: Siren's charm" where Donkey Kong island is invaded by evil mermaids, so Donkey Kong and friends must've go through the island to save it and stop the evil mermaids, and that Kiddy Kong, Candy Kong, Enguarde and Expresso have returned and some returning themes like Nuts and Bolts, Hot Head Hop, Stilt Village and Flight of the Zinger; that would be awesome. Please Nintendo release another Donkey Kong Country game.

Girls Make Games is actually a summer camp program meant to teach girls between 8-18 to code and develop their own video games. This game is a product of one of those camp programs.

And this game looks like shovelware. it's a neat little camp program you got here, but since this game is made public, it's gonna get the same level of criticism regardless of the age or gender as any other game.

@@----248 you’re probably not old enough to remember a console before the switch, but the Wii was just a shovelware machine after a certain point. A lot of consoles are full of shovelware. Especially nowadays. Most of the games on the eshop are shovelware, they just don’t all get trailers on the KZread channel.
