He wasn’t retired. He was a old ass man. ppl were offering him shit he didn’t know, so he turned them down. Those movies took off, so when he got another offer League of extraordinary gentlemen he took it. That shit bomb so he decided to retire. That way ppl would stop offering him shit & saying can you believe Sean Connery turned this movie down.

This really feels like a movie where the makers wanted to strike that balance of fun for kids but some things scattered about to keep the parents from being bored out of their minds. Without realizing just how hard that is to do well.

‘Game of Death’ I believe. My dad (RIP) was really into Bruce Lee so when he would see it in cartoons he would identify it as Bruce Lee’s thing. So even now I still mentally go “oh Game of Death” before I think “oh no wait Kill Bill.”

Hey saberspark. I do sound design for a living. The ‘metallic’ sound is due to a heavy amount of noise reduction. Likely they recorded his audio in a noisy environment and their attempts to fix it resulted in it sounding almost underwater. It’s because they removed so much of the waveform that it sounds like a glitchy, garbled mess. The more you know!

It makes me mad that people say things like "the suit from kill bill" while yes, its obviously a reference to kill bill, THAT suit is a reference to a bruce lee movie
