Consider: Roy was the one driving the car, and Lesley was a passenger. Lesley was injured, but both Roy and David died, which better ties in to Yellow Guy's line at the end of _Family_. If he's the one who ultimately caused their deaths, it would explain why he is always portrayed as unkind or unhelpful. Also, "careful" is a weird thing to exclaim when you see your child walk out in front of your car, isn't it? It would be, unless you were trying to warn the driver. The situation made her feel completely powerless. There was nothing she could do to save her son. That's the reason she created the dollhouse - she can now control every single thing that happens, and she never has to feel helpless again.

I'm convinced that "don't hug me I'm scared" is David's last words. After he was hit he tells his mom "Don't hug me" because she tries to hug him but he's in too broken and in much pain. Then, he says "I'm scared" right before he dies.

Something else that could add to the theory is that we never see a “big” version of yellow guy. That was made from the teacher, I have a feeling that what Lesley did was make a lot of puppets and just set them free, so whenever they go teach David about a lesson, it would be natural and random, that's how come the teachers are there at random times, they kind of do their own thing, that's why there wasn't a second David, but just a David that ages, I think it's just one David puppet and the rest are replaceable, and that's why she brings them back to the house instead of not caring

With this new theory about yellow guy and Leslie it opens up a ton of new questions about Roy. Is he actually dead too and if so , how did he die? Was he also partially responsible for yellows/ David’s death somehow? It is interesting how in the original series he seems to want yellow guy to suffer or to use him while Leslie is fond of yellow guy but also kinda Bitter towards him. And how both parents seem to be the ones pulling the strings of the show with Roy perverting Red’s vision in the original KZread series and Leslie making things happen with the dollhouse is an interesting parallel. Kinda makes me think of those parents who use their kids to make crappy KZread shows and make money off them

Maybe Leslie resents Roy for being emotionally abusive while David was alive, and now that he (David) is gone, he (Roy) will never be able to make amends. Maybe he (Roy) gets even more abusive when David dies, Un able to handle his own trauma with the loss of his son, or maybe Roy leaves Leslie? It would also be a cool idea if Roy is the reason David was IN THE STREET to begin with, which is why Roy also shares blame for David’s death.

  • @AbsentMinded619

Since Red guy was a neighbor of their’s he was probably a friend of Lesley and in all likelihood someone who collaborated with her on kid’s show programming. David saw him as an uncle. Roy produced a show he wanted to do and then ruined Red’s vision, and Lesley would have seen all of that happen so we see it play out with the puppet characters in season 1. Red guy (whatever his real name was) dies at least a year later than David, but on the same calendar day, probably driving his car into a lake. All of these people have been dead for decades.

I have an additional theory further explaining Red Guy and Duck. The first part is about who they are and the second part is about what they represent. (Note: When talking about "Yellow Guy," I will be referring to the actual puppet character in the show, while when talking about "David," I will be referring to Lesley's deceased son. And yes, this theory relies heavily on the theory presented in the video.) 1. Red Guy and Duck are David's childhood "friends." I use quotations here because just like Yellow Guy is not exactly David, I feel that's the same case with Red Guy and Duck. Now while I have evidence for this, it's not very solid. Regardless, evidence is still evidence. As seen throughout the series, and heavily in episode 4, Yellow Guy doesn't (or rather can't) get along well with people he doesn't know. He never gets along well with the teachers. It's especially made clear that not only did Yellow Guy have trouble getting along with Warren the "Eagle," the teacher for FRIENDSHIP, but that Warren actually made Yellow Guy uncomfortable. This likely means that David also had trouble making friends and had very few. In the show, the only characters we see Yellow Guy get along with naturally are Red Guy, Duck, and the brain friends he creates in episode 4. Since the brain friends are figments of Yellow Guy's imagination, they will naturally get along with him. Which leaves Red Guy and Duck. Lesley likely wanted Yellow Guy to have friends to learn the lessons with. Given that David probably had trouble making friends, Lesley saw that these friends would have to be ones that Yellow Guy would already know, and that's why I believe that Red Guy and Duck are representations of David's friends. That led me to ask myself, "Why do Red Guy and Duck have more adult-like designs?" Yellow Guy wears overalls and in general acts like a young child, whereas Duck wears a blazer(?), Red Guy is tall and has a deeper voice (like an adult would), and they both act more like sassy adults. This could be Lesley processing that even though these two friends are all grown up now, David still remains a child. continuing on in the replies cause I talk way too much :,)

    @yourlocaltrashsnek1532

    2. Here's where my theory gets kinda depressing. Red Guy and Duck represent the different ways their real-world counterparts dealt with the grief of losing David. First, let's explore Duck. Throughout the series, he is known to be easily distracted and/or entertained. And if he doesn't have a distraction/source of entertainment, he gets upset. While there's a lot of evidence showing this, there's one specific one I want to point out. In episode 5, Duck starts counting everything he sees, and even counts each tile one by one. At first glance, this may seem like nothing but a "haha he's counting each tile" kind of moment, but I see this as a key detail to explaining Duck's character; he copes by distracting himself. When dealing with grief, many people will end up throwing themselves into something else, like work, hobbies, or luxuries. This keeps them distracted, making them think of what they're obsessing over rather than what they've lost. I think that the friend that Duck represents used all sorts of distractions, especially the arts, as we see Duck show an interest in singing, often singing a solo in the middle of a song or just out of nowhere. Next, there's Red Guy. Probably the most notable trait about Red Guy is his monotone voice. Even if he's genuinely excited, he never shows it. This could represent how some people become apathetic after losing someone, unable to cope with the grief. When grieving, people can lose interest in everything, even stuff they genuinely enjoy. However, there's more to Red Guy. We see him have an outburst in episode 5, screaming that he doesn't want to go back. And though they do make it out of the cartoony world, they ended up back home because of Lesley. This can be seen as a moment where the friend Red Guy represents wanted to take that first step towards acceptance. He wanted to be free of that grief, and he wanted to help his other friend (represented by Duck) and Lesley, too. He even gives Duck distractions so he can slowly adjust to acceptance. But in the end, he fails to achieve this goal, as Lesley is still unable to accept that David is truly gone, and sends them back to the beginning of the cycle... BUT HEY, that's just a theory; a film theory :D

Some things I noticed that I thought I would point out: 1: Yellow Guy’s “dream” in the episode 5 intro is the plot of episode 6. And this isn’t the only time is aware of what’s going on, his line about the bigger ones on top with a smaller one of all of it on top is the doll house that Lesley has. 2: Whenever yellow Guy has a reflection, it’s the smarter him looking back at him. 3: When Lesley gets out the duck replacement, it’s from a draw full of ducks. When we enter the room, we can clearly see that there is only one draw on the piano. She only has duck replacements. Now think back at what characters have died. Duck was eaten in the original series episode 5, he is the one who dies one episode 2. And when he is in the same room with the other duck in episode 2, Duck is on the right. When duck kills the other duck, the duck on the right is killed, the real duck is killed. Duck has died and been replaced many times.

Another things is that Duck is seen often trying to argue with Red Guy and tell him that he’s not as good as duck. Duck says that he is the father figure, Duck is angry that Red Guy got the management role, placing him as Duck’s boss. When the briefcase says “a big guy like you”, Duck says “he’s not that big”. I’m thinking that maybe Yellow Guy isn’t the only one who represents a family member. If Yellow Guy is David, could Red Guy be Lesley before the accident, and could Duck be Roy before the accident. Maybe before the accident, Lesley and Roy (human Roy, obviously) had David but then started growing apart, and Roy became a not very nice Father to David and Partner to Lesley. They broke up just before the accident, and after it, Lesley went crazy with guilt, recreating her old life with a doll house and some puppets. Roy was also driven crazy, but he wanted to get his revenge on Lesley and (in true game theory/film theory fashion) bring back his dead child. Which is why Roy is always seen ignoring everyone (like he used to neglect David) and he tries to stop Lesley/Red Guy and bring David/Yellow Guy out of that world. Red Guy and Duck are often arguing and Duck ignores Red Guy and Yellow Guy and Red Guy is the only one who listens to Yellow Guy, even though sometimes Red Guy/Lesley’s anger ends up going towards Yellow Guy/David.

Some important information: -The dollhouse they return to after the junkyard isn’t the same one they left -The x-ray of Yellow-Guy’s head shows a power circuit, further proving that he runs on power -The pink blob in the Bigger Boy’s Room is the same one from the Death Episode -Yellow guy seems to be able to read/write the symbols. -The password in the Internet episode, which Yellow Guy is trying to force himself to remember, is in the same symbols -In the beginning of the Last episode, Yellow Guy remembers going upstairs before and even references it in his little nonsense speech -In the family episode, Mother is dead, implying that there might also be guilt from Leslie for leaving more family (a husband, or other children) after “dying” in the same wreck. -Leslie doesn’t seem to have total control, since the puppets were able to leave the dollhouse. Even though she brings them back, this implies they are able to in some way or the other move without her doing so for them

I think the floor above Leslie isn’t for Yellow guy (or David) too reach. It’s for Leslie. We see that duck and red guy have ascended the first few floors, each one gaining more knowledge as they go. The only thing above them, Leslie, the one who knows the truth behind the story. The floors represent knowledge. The only floor that Leslie hasn’t reached, the last stage of grief, acceptance. I think the finale will end wholesomely, with yellow guy leading Leslie too the final floor, showing her it’s not her fault. But that’s just a theory…

Nice take. Hence Leslie gives the book to Yellow Guy, who came up with "the alphabet" to decipher it earlier on. Only he can read it, which i think contains passages from the life they could've had. Reading it ,accepting the fact that it's all for naught and making peace with it would pass them through the door. But the book gets shredded, and the loop ensues. One thing i'd disagree with is that Red & Duck truly had gained more knowledge in their "upper floors" iterations. They were fooling around, really, with TWO subjects at once & aimless experiments. David (as his smarter self) finds them to be rather silly. I think Leslie's plan was to let the "dumber" Yellow Guy move onto these rooms naturally as he grows up, so that he would idle around for years to come, just like he does downstairs.

I think the title applies less to Lesley and more to Yellow Guy. She is broken, and grieving, sure. But scared? Whereas Yellow Guy, upon learning the existential nightmare that is his life, probably has Lesley try to hug him in an effort to hold her son once again, rejects her because this is all too scary for him to handle. That sounds a lot more relatable.

I personally love this theory, and if you think about it…Lesley never wants them to go outside, in fact, all the lessons she teach him are about how dangerous the world is and how the journey always end up back at home, back to a place David should have never left, keeping him in the house forever so no more accidents happen, no matter how many backups she own, it’s never easy watching the same outcome play out over and over, so she’d rather torture them in twisted ways yet leave them alive and always staying at home. Red guy tries to break out of the cycle as well as yellow guy tries to understand and grow past the cycle, meanwhile duck is dead and shouldn’t have to care about anything, he’s free to do whatever and not care which is why we’ve never seen him actively go out of his way to go beyond Lesley’s domain.

Like it's such a good ending in the worst way possible, it makes sure that if there's more, the characters will need to fight and struggle for the answers. But a ending like this doesn't give me high hopes, if we get a season 2, they will fail. It's simple, they will fail, the cycle will repeat, they will be constantly tormented by their teachers, unable to gain their freedom or answers. I feel like shredding the book has doomed them to suffer endlessly in this horrific cycle

You could also argue that each level of the house correlates to the stages of grief-but slightly out of order. The first floor is in-denial; where Lesley refuses to address what has happened. She is willing to have each character play their own parts as if nothing is wrong. The second floor is symbolic for depression. Where the characters are beginning to look at things in more detail. Maybe this is where Lesley was beginning to realize that her son is truly gone. Then, the third floor is anger. The torture of the lump of living flesh could be a metaphor for the torture and pain Lesley is inflicting on herself for killing her son. And then, finally, the floor that Lesley is on currently, is symbolic for bargaining. She’s replaying the moments where “David” never leaves. He just stays in the house learning about new things. A place where he never dies. That’s where she is at right now. And the next staircase that we didn’t get see, leads to the last floor: acceptance. Where Lesley truly accepts what happened and is able to move on. Hopefully this makes sense! It kind of just clicked for me after I finished watching the video :)

another thing to solidify this theory; in yellow guy's "david" state, he has green eyes (like how he said his favorite color was green in the very first episode), and lesley also has lighter colored eyes, making it possible that, if the dad also had lighter colored eyes, solidifies the relationship between yellow guy/david and lesley

  • @lacrossestick132
    @lacrossestick132 Жыл бұрын

I don’t know if someone mentioned this already, but the ID card scene with Red Guy is interesting. His card says he’s not dead, but knows when and how he will die. I think the three main characters ALL represent members of Leslie’s family. I think the Duck represents her father, based on the fact that he seems to be an older man. I think he is her father, and was very sick and weak, which is why his piece breaks so easily and she has so many replacements of him. He was probably the first member of her family to die, which is why he’s the one who dies in the Death episode instead of Yellow Guy, who dies later. The cause of death in this video is forgetting to drink water, which seems silly and even Duck addresses how silly this is, but if he was very sick, it’s possible he was unable to take care of himself and had no one to help him, leading to a really horrible death. Yellow Guy is the next person in her family to die, which was already discussed in this episode, so I don’t want to rehash what the video already said. His death is shown in Transport, the car accident. I think Red Guy is also her son. Even though he’s significantly older than Yellow Guy, large age gaps are not uncommon in siblings, and he’s not Yellow Guy’s father anyway because Roy is his father. I think Red Guy is a much older brother that acts as a father figure. He never dies in the series, but his death is addressed in the ID card scene, which is what made me think of this theory. The ID card reveals he doesn’t die for a while and that his death is by drowning. This death isn’t depicted in the series, so it hasn’t happened yet, but it will. I theorize that dealing with the guilt of watching the younger brother he was supposed to protect die, as well as seeing his mother’s mental health deteriorate, the son Red Guy represents was unable to cope with the pain and trauma, fell into severe depression, and ended his own life by drowning. (Side note: I believe that Roy represents her husband, or more accurately abusive ex-husband, which is why he’s there but isn’t important to this series. Also, while it’s confirmed Roy is Yellow Guy’s father, I do not believe he is Red Guy’s father, so Leslie’s two children are from different relationships, which may also explain the large age gap.) Leslie was already struggling with leaving her abusive ex-husband and the deaths of her father and younger son, but this was the final thing that sent her over the edge. She feels helpless, alone, and afraid, and so she creates the characters in the show to represent her family. Yellow Guy for her naive but optimistic and kindhearted younger son, Duck for her old-fashioned father, and Red Guy for her eccentric and creative yet slightly pessimistic older son. And Roy for her abusive ex-husband because he’s part of her family and her trauma as well. Sorry for the long comment, I just had a lot to say. I don’t know how this series connects with the original series, but I think this also opens up the door to connections and theories there.

  • @oncefighting

I also think the reason why Red guy is so monotone and legit says “you’re dead? I think I should be the one who’s dead” is that he suffered from depression as a result of his brother dying. I think the part about roy being an abusive ex husband makes a lot of sense, I also want to add he most likely cheated on her a lot, I say this because in episode I can go to is well on the episode 3 computers. Yellow guy sees his father watching well, you know what? This could most likely be a sign that Roy was a cheater and how so probably abusive that caused there to be some scares. And with red falling into a deep depression, actually makes a lot of sense, especially the fact that he tried taking his life by drowning makes alot of sense because, well, I mean, just listen to his voice like it's extremely monotone, like, just kind of like done with everything you know, like, that's what you see with someone who has depression, it is kind of done with everything they've been through, just kind of done with life life, sometimes I do actually makes a lot of sense and I won't be surprised if it's true

Just to add a little, the climbing up the stairs is pretty much a symbol to growing up (just as the big boys room implies) and the fact is, Leslie tried to let yellow guy grow, but that means him getting closer to her, it also conflicts with the fact that david never grew, thats why there is not yellow guy equivalent in the other rooms, at the end Leslie puts him back to dullness, to the never growing point and it probably wasnt the first time she did it, cuz she cant deal with the grief

This show does have a major replacement theme to it. The duck was murdered by his replacement, yellow guy was forced to replace the creepy family’s mother for Roy’s pleasure, and last but not least Leslie made if abundantly clear she had replacements of all three characters in case people went out of line. I believe the trio that made it to the junkyard/wasteland are still there, still potentially able to find the remnants of clay hill. Maybe the theme is simply “the show must go on, no matter what.”

A human can’t give birth to something like that, unless he was the first version of a son she always wanted making him special compared to yellow guy being only a replica. And what about where they are? Is Lesley trapped in some odd place or is she in the real world with lots of people, yet decides to never leave her home? I have so many questions for the creators.

I don't think Lesley died just metaphorically, I think she attempted suicide, but failed. That would explain the stitches. Maybe some of the guilt lesley feels is because she wasn't the most attentive mother before the accident and that may be what caused it, making David's death hit harder because she wasn't always there or paying the most attention to him. Could explain why she's trying to teach all these lessons now, because she didn't bother to before and now it's too late

I love this theory, but you missed one very important symbol, the book in ep 6, which symbolizes the truth she denies. When David gets his batteries switched, the first thing he does is come up with is a "new" symbolic sub-set. The same symbolic sub-set that the book is written in. After Lesley makes David clean up the mess caused by the electracy, the door is left open, inferring that Lesley has moved on to a higher level, distancing herself further from her catastrophes. But this time, she shreds the book. This book is also the symbolic connection Lesley has to her past life, so, for every level of the house, the book becomes longer, more diluted and harder to decode by David. This parallels the trip he has to take up the stairs, and the number of layers he has to look through to reach the truth. But every time he has made it up to Lesley's room he was sent back down and striped of his intelligence so that Lesley could add another layer and reset the cycle. For each cycle change, a day passes, so on Jun 19 only 2 layers existed. When red guy (the neighbor) pulled the switch in the first season's finale, the houses power source was reset and a new cycle was started (hence the date change). Notice how it was fully dark when he did so and that the floor matches the house; him and duck were in the exact same situation in the finale of this season. When David (Lesley) shreds the book, the camara pans out, and where the stairs used to be, an endless void replaces it. This could infer 1 of 2 things. 1. Like you said, the next floor represents the exit Lesley needs to take to move passed her grief. So, when she does so and shreds the book, she breaks off the connection she has to her fictional world and lets herself live in the real one. 2. She looses the battle against herself. By shredding the book, she finally destroys all traces of the truth and can never come to terms with it, which also removes the stairs. I think it's 2, as the eerie music implies it. Also, in season 1's finale, Lesley doesn't die and the vibe is much happier and hopeful.

Throughout the show Red guy is the only one trying to actively escape his circumstances (besides Duck wanting a job in the first episode but I don't count that as its more a boredom thing) and Red Guy is portrayed as a human in the neighborhood sequence whereas Duck is just a pet. Not to mention that despite being so monotone, Red Guy seems the most, well, human. He also seems to have connection to Yellow Guy because he's much kinder to him and seems that the most meaningful conversations happen between them (though this might be a stretch seeing as the only other character is Duck.. and he's... well- Duck).

There's one thing I wanted to point out: Between the two seasons, the prominence of Roy has shifted greatly. In the first season, it is thought that he was the mastermind behind the show, hiring red guy to make marketable shows and trapping him in a cycle of hopelessness, as his show could never get off the ground unless Roy helped. And at the end of season one, Red becomes more aware of how to produce his shows, and leaves Roy by pulling the plug. However, in season 2, Roy's appearances are scattered, only showing up in the intro in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it scene of looking into the house. The only prominent thing he did was save David from a false family. Instead of Roy being the mastermind this time, its Lesley, David's other parent, who is pulling the strings. If my theory is correct, Roy use to be helping Lesley with her fantasies, controlling the machine that made the "episodes". However, after Red guy's departure, something in Roy may have changed, and he started to reject Lesley's plan and wanted to end the cycle. Unfortunately, Lesley kicked Roy out for most of her stories, now only being able to see the pandemonium through a crack in the wall. During episode 3, he may have come to David's rescue because of the theme: family. David was put into a sort of cultish family, only being done to satiate Lesley's fantasies. In Roy's mind, that was going too far, and he found the courage to go against Lesley, saving David and killing the abominations. His little bit of anger and telling David to run may have stemmed from Roy also knowing what the puppet of David actually was and may still reject this puppet as his son.

I don't know how much Roy is actually pary of the overall story, I'm gonna be honest. Yes, he was a big part in the original pilot, but I think it's clear the creators have made a very different story, and the original series and TV show are, in concept similar, but storywise not related. I feel like Lesely has replaced the role of "puppetmaster" that Roy originally played. I, personally, wouldn't think too much into the few appearences he's had (especially because he doesn't even appear a whole lot). He's just another face in the background, like all of the other interesting characters we see.

I wish I saw this before I just posted my comment. But yeah I'm kind of with you here. There's alot more to Roy and to how it connects to the KZread series and how that panned out. I feel as though Roy is still helping his wife who he loves however he has never excepted or acted like yellow guy is his son despite saving him in the family episode . I think he wants to do right by Lesley and will continue to do so but he knows how messed up and unhealthy this whole situation is but he is too far in it to make a change and is stuck enabling his wife's despair

In the transport episode, Roy had Beer glasses on and in the family one he was very angry and violent (possibly just eating like the rest of them, but whose to say). I think with this theory, it's Roy suffering after the death of his child, perhaps?

Honestly I think that Lesley also can control Roy if she wants to, because I think that Lesley made Roy after her real husband (probably also named Roy) divorced her sometime before David died, so when she accidentally killed David she was at her worst, she just lost her son, her husband divorced her and she doesn’t have anyone else (I think that she used to have a house out in the open all by itself but decided to move away after her husband divorced her, in hopes of keeping David happy when she had to work but when David died Lesley, so overcome with grief and guilt she felt she had to move back to her old house except at that time the house was run down and she did not want to fix it so she instead grabbed a table grabbed a chair and began playing with her dolls.) I believe that after her husband divorced her she made a doll of him (Roy) and would sometimes imagine him still being here and them being a happy family. I believe that she felt she needed this doll to be happy and wouldn’t give it to anyone. So, of course, when she made yellow guy, duck, and red guy she wanted to make Roy have a little bit more power than the others because he was the father but when he started acting out (not following her plans) she felt like that was him trying to leave her alone again so she decided to make him weaker so he wouldn’t leave her alone to work on things all by herself.

Could it also be possible that both series are directly connected? As in Roy and Lesley were the parents of David and worked in show business? This could explain not only her appearance, but how Roy has been portrayed. Always a foreboding creepy. In the original series he was the producer of the show, never letting them go, corrupting the memories, even now still looking in, almost stalking her mind. For example he was in a disguise to follow them out of the house during the drive. Interestingly it was yellow guy who let him in, and red for throwing him out after a rude horn honk. Perhaps she wants him to suffer just as much for what he did to them and their child. I’d also like to point out that the only time Roy was there this season was when he literally destroyed the family. Maybe Roy produced Lesley’s children show, which would explain her outfit as well as the setting for the previous version. Also interesting that the family saw yellow guy as the mother.

10:41 was referring to when he gets smart and finds the upstairs area considering he was talking about big people and a lump I reckon. also think about how when yellow guy accidentally breaks ducks mini figure, he breaks it by making its head fall off. And speaking of that, are we even sure it was duck that killed the doppelgänger? It could have been the doppelgänger who killed duck, but in the end it doesn’t matter because Lesley will just replace them. A lot of yellow guys rambles have some ties to what has happened/will happen. I also think that possibly episode 1 was a nod to how red guy normally has something to do with the phone, specifically the phone booth thing.

I have a kind of extension to this theory: I think that Roy is trying to help her and take her away from her trauma but every time he tries a character “dies” which is her brain making her relive the moment she killed her son and she immediately pushes him away again so it becomes a never ending spiral into depression and and anguish

  • @catsinabox121

Maybe, since we see that Lesley controls the dollhouse, as well as red yellow and duck, the fact that she makes red and duck rip out the batteries, and then shred the book is supposed to represent her regret. She hands yellow the book, and sends him downstairs, but then realises he could leave her, (whatever that would look like,) and decides that she wants him to stay, therfore restarting the cycle.

As always, I’m terrified yet somewhat more educated on the topic of dhmis I know you don’t do requests on KZread and especially not about Gacha, but I would highly recommend a channel named WideDoggy. An important detail that Matpat overlooked is that Red Guy wasn’t the only one with an ID, all three of the main characters have their IDs in the same folder Red Guy takes his out of. And if you look at the green ID the eyes are crossed out, implying that Duck actually was the one who died.

First of all, don’t say the G word, we all know that’s not a creative color. Second, that was just the one episode. In that episode Duck specifically had died, because Lesley probably forgot to make Duck’s puppet drink pretend water, and used to pretend to teach Yellow Guy, or David, about death, something she never got the chance to do when David was alive.

Red Guy did try to fight back in Ep. 5, but stopped in Ep. 6. Before Ep. 5, he seemed to be annoyed with his situation, but didn't do anything about it 'til Ep. 5. However, Lesley brought everyone back home at the end of the episode, resetting everything in Ep. 6. Until proven otherwise, I believe the web series is canon. I believe the story of the web series is canon. Red Guy tries to leave, but he's brought back over and over again, so at the end of S1...he gave up OR his will to leave was removed.
