I don't understand why people hate the grimace shake so much, I LOVE IT, and this is coming from a woman who's currently working at McDonald's herself! I don't care what people say I love the taste of it and was kinda bummed out when my managers told me they were no longer serving it😔

For a while, I forgot Grimace even existed. I hadn't seen him since I was a toddler. Now I'm terrified of him.

I think that Grimace is upset at being forgotten for all of these years. McDonalds moved on. They kept Ronald around for a bit, but even he was left behind. It’s been years since McDonalds has acknowledged their mascots. Then, all of a sudden, McDonalds introduces the Grimace shake, acting like they were still friends the whole time.

The McDonald in space episode traumatized me when I was a child. My only memory of it is Ronald and them in a space ship and me asking my mom to hide it

I have the McDonald's TV show on VHS tape still. I used to watch that all the time as a kid. The haunted mansion episode is really the one I remember the most though.

Some of the best theory videos across these channels are when matpat and team just get to have some silly fun

You found it! The weird McDonald's cartoon fever dream of my childhood! I have literally not heard anyone talk about this since I was a kid, and part of me had started to believe I'd made it up.

I'm kind of surprised that evil Grimace wasn't treated as a separate entity, given his design is so vast it's entirely plausible to make a theory where evil grimace didn't like getting replaced, he was after all, already a villain.

Mat has dedicated so much time to theory crafting, he literally can't stop. Let it be known though, I appreciate it, and this is going to be a great video.

I still think one of my favorite theories about the grimace shake deaths was that it was Ronald (the clown) that poisoned or tainted the drinks. Not that this isn't great, but the story of Ronald growing jealous that Grimace (originally a feared villan) made a comeback while the infamous clown mascot got pushed farther and farther from the spotlight. With Ronald and Grimace being the only one of these characters still somewhat used by the franchise, a framed Grimace would leave the clown to make a comeback. (This is not my original idea, just something I've heard from a freind)

I don't follow trends much so the grimace thing is new and funny to me, glad I watch these theories to the end lol, matpat didn't disappoint XD.

MatPat is the only human being who would analise every lighthouse in America to find the one which appeared in a 70s tv show about Ronald the McDonald

I don't even think this is the first time it's happened. If they haven't already they should probably set up some sort of AI image comparison tool to help them out (something similar to a duplicate image finder like AllDup).

It's super surreal hearing MatPat talk about these tapes. I had them when I was a kid but hearing basically nothing about them from other kids or even in the form of ads until now they began to feel more like a weird dream than a show I actually watched.

Same here. My friend thought I was making stuff up because I said I had Ronald McDonald VHS shows. I forgot about them until I saw them playing in a restaurant one day about six months ago. Now I want to rewatch them.

All I remember was my Grandmother had these. It was the only show or movies she had for kids and I remember watching them late at night. I almost thought I dreamed it.

I vaguely remember a christmas special about a girl wanting to ride a train to her grandparents but she was an orphan so by the end of it, someone decided to adopt her or something... Im pretty sure this was a McDonalds VHS... Does anyone know what I'm recalling?

Next theory: how is Mat’s immune system so strong that he managed to live for 11 whole minutes after drinking the shake when everyone else is dead after at max 10 seconds?!

It's the diet coke. By sheer coincidence one of the ingrdients in diet Coke supresses the symptoms of the Shake.

@@Ultigames2nd Unfortunately he didn't drink one recently so he was only able to resist the Shake for 10 minutes. If he had only drank one while recording he would have lived.

Dude, I remember those cartoons from when I was a kid! I don't remember specifics, but you just unlocked a memory my guy!

Ever since I heard about the shake, and this meme, I thought it was interesting that it was purple, which is the color of the KoolAid used in the mass "revoulutionary suicide" in Jonestown, Guyana in 1978. Purple drinks always have a sort of bad connotation, I'm surprised Matt didn't call out the color. I know Grimmace is purple so yeah makes sense but still😂😂😂😂

I know this is a meme theory, but you could honestly make a number of videos on the McDonalds lore and mascots. Like saying the Hamburglar has some backroom deal with Mayor McCheese

Those McDonald's movies / episodes are one of the deepest core memories i have as a child! When i was depressed because i was abandoned by my mother and father as a kid my grandma would pop one of those suckers in and make me some food and something about them always cheered me up. I'm almost 29 now and they still make me smile from ear to ear 🙂
