What the hell is going on?

We seem to be the most divided we've ever been. SImple questions like "What is a woman" have become great sources of strife? But why?
In this video, I try to honestly answer the question what the hell is going on and what we can do about it.

The one area that boils my piss is the misappropriation of Autism as an identity. I have a severely autistic child who is completely closed off from the world and I work with two appallingly rude women who claim “Autistic” as their excuse for being awful people. They’re effectively mocking my son’s debilitating condition

Seen this with so many mental diseases from autism to depression. People with serious conditions need help. We dont have these sometimes debilitating mental abnormalities for attention or as an excuse. I am not autistic so i am certain the anger is far greater than what I feel. I have genetic major depressive disorder or something like that. Seeing people say they are feeling depressed because the coffee shop is closed today makes my blood boil. I hope the best for you and your son.

Same with TikTok tics. These kids are faking like they have tourettes so much that they actually start developing ticks. My mom's a therapist, and she sees all these self diagnosed fakers come in and refuse to have a neuropsychological evaluation to find out what they actually have and if they're faking. Usually the parents support their self-diagnosis and allow them to refuse the neuropsych. Munchausen's by proxy usually.

Most likely its the result of environment those peoples grow up in. For example i'm an orphan, later i was sent out to a foster family, most of the foster parents are abusive narcissist, and i wasn't lucky either. Yet non of us complains, or blames others for any of that. At least in the EU you have the opportunity to be somebody and reach your heights even totally alone and worn down. Making someone out of ourself and being a decent human is still our responsibility. The same way as genetics or some disease isn't an excuse for being overweight. There are peoples like that, and they can still manage to be normal if they really want to(ofc not the majority). Blaming anything for any of their failures is pointless. They have to do better and that is the only functional answer.

I'm a woman. When I was booking an appointment for Brazilian wax online, the service description said: "For guests with a vagina." The salon is too afraid to use the word "women." When I was selecting a wax specialist, although they all have female names, I couldn't help but worry that they are biological men but claiming themself women. I'm uncomfortable showing my private body part to biological men who are not my husband, so I started thinking about how to politely refuse the service without pissing them off when that happened. I can't believe I'm having this kind of concern nowadays...

@@madeleinebabbitt Age could be a factor but the area of the country a person resides in can also play a huge factor in the popularity of certain idiom usages. Coming from Alaska to Arizona I used the phrase, "More bang for the buck" and my employer had never heard it used before. I was asked to explain what it meant, so I said that in my understanding of its meaning that it meant that you get more value out of the purchase for the money that was spent. It can apply to vacations, fireworks, food purchases, transportation, or just anything. Another favorite of mine I rarely hear anymore is, "Making dollars and sense" verses the usual "dollars and cents". Some people will make a large purchase like a car or house without batting an eye, but complain bitterly over the cost of a broomstick or some other trivial item. To me, people such as yourself are good people because it appears that you humbly explained a possible reason as to why this phrase was a new experience for you. Unfortunately in today's world, that is an excellent trait that is being lost and it shows to me a good upbringing and strong moral fiber.

I always know deep in my heart, that not every person in the LGBTQ community is insane. There are people that just want to love certain people and live their own lives without persecution. I don’t mind gay, queer, bisexual, or trans people. We live in a free country and you should be allowed to love who you want to. However, there are members of that community that have adopted the attitude of “Support me and every crazy thing or we will ruin your life”. Then those people have the audacity to play the victim when they were the ones who started whatever altercation took place. Additionally, there are those who wish to push fiction as fact, but whenever someone stands up against this, they become a target for crazy people

I have a bathroom story, but it's kinda long so I'll just say: During a school trip, my friend was shunned for voicing concerns about the transwoman in our group using the bathroom. I knew that transwoman for four years, and in that fourth year did they begin transitioning. They went from a straight male who liked anime chicks to a "lesbian" who could now show his screenshots of anime lesbian kissing fanart to the women around him even though we were visibly uncomfortable. If he didn't identify as trans and talked to us the way he did, he would have been called a pervert, but this label made him immune to criticism.

Its a cycle: Men wanted to protect women. They ended up locking them up indoors and it got to the Salem Witch Trials. Feminists wanted to restore women's agency. A few crazies ended up alienating men saying they didn't need them and how male-spaces were toxic and needed to be eradicated. In response, a few crazies decided to become women, infiltrate women's spaces and get it back. Much like how the most sane and daring women decided to stand up for men and protect their children, sons, brothers, husbands, from other women that society punished men for standing up to.

Hi! Black man here. One of the things I really hate about the gaslighting these folks do is claim that it's all rooted in racism. Being fatphobic or "transphobic is always "rooted in racism." They use it like it's six degrees of Kevin Bacon. I'm really sick of it because it they use people like me as a shield to attack other white people while they themselves are white. I'd be out of line if I call it modern day black face though. It's total disillusionment. So eager to be on the "right side of history" by any means necessary when their language is an attack on the natural order of life. And I really hate having to say that because I have nothing against transfolk, or the LGBT community as a whole. I also really have nothing against fat people but... damn. I grew up with ideals back in the 90s and early 2000s very very left leaning and held progressive ideology. I find myself now feeling like my views as of now are pretty conservative, not because I changed my views, but because the political left move so damn left that it forced me out.

As a healthcare provider who has treated many trans people, I can affirm that the body/gender dysphoria that leads someone to the idea of becoming “trans” is almost always a psycho-emotional disorder brought on by mental and/or physical abuse before puberty. This causes them to disassociate with their body identity, blaming it and themselves for the abuse they’ve suffered. While there are some who do have significant hormonal imbalances that cause this issue, most don’t. The way to get past all of the problems this issue has been causing is to recognize the facts and support these people through counseling and therapy. The answer is not to mutilate someone’s physical body to imitate the opposite sex and then pump them full of hormones that do irreversible systemic harm. A combination of compassion and counseling is the key, not shaming and surgery!

So here’s something you might find interesting. There was a study that was done on prejudice. A group of volunteers were taken into a group that told them that they were going to be measuring prejudice. They made a scar out of make up on each persons face that disfigured them. Before they headed off to the “interview” the test subjects were told they were to go to another room to get some “finishing touches” when they were actually getting the “scars” removed without the test subjects knowledge. They were now completely normal as they were before, tho they still thought they had the scar on their face for the interview. They were told to report any prejudice they experienced. Every. Single. Test subject. Reported back prejudice. From “sly comments” to “outright insults” when in actuality, *nothing was wrong with them* *People will act like victims if they are told they are victims. It’s literally psychological* EDIT: For those wondering what it’s called, it was called the Dartmouth Scar Experiment.

Yeah and that is not particular to any political orientation or sexuality. It is a society conditioned phenomenon. In some situations people profit from being perceived as attacked or a victim. In other situations you want to be strong and winning. That is nothing new really and it applies to everyone equally. And lets not forget that for this particular group the hitpiece is targeted against, lots of laws are passed that target them, making the ideologically hateful voters happy and securing far right candidates. If it were not Transpeople it might be black people or asian people or Mexicans, and most of the time the people who are hating usually see themself or their group as victims of the target group. Like "Transpeople groom our children" even if when we look at factual evidence that almost never happens, at actual lower rates than normal hetero people, but ofcourse it paints us at victims and them as monster. Or "They steal our jobs", "They steal our women". And the crowd immediatly is riled up, even if you and your family never had an interaction, especially no bad interactions with the target group in their lifes. But you and your factions are now victims, so onto the next TV or youtube channel we go who tell us how evil they are and how much it hurts us (we are the victims again". People eat this shit up, they always have, everywhere and especially on the right when the political party needs to shore up their voter base, another enemy is found and we have hate and occasional mass shooting events for another couple years. For the left it has been racism and xenophobia for some time now and for the right it is transpeople currently. everyone is a victim and the target group is usually a constituent of the opposing party.

At some point we moved away from pursuing equality - which says we should all strive to treat each other equally to the best of our abilities and wherever possible, and also means working with each other to find middle grounds, to listen to each other in order to guide society to a better place. Now it has become about giving certain groups special privileges and free passes above everyone else, and not questioning or scrutinizing that, not having open dialogues or discussions. Just submit, nod along, applaud even if it doesn't make sense in your mind, or else you will be branded a bigot and potentially even have your career and life ruined.

But they are the closest thing to a fascist that I, as a German, have seen during the last 40 or so years. There's something massively wrong with some activist's approach towards political discourse within our society (read: They don't tolerate any) As a matter of fact, freedom of speech and a culture of political discussion on eye-level is nowhere to be found at the far-left at all, or so it seems. And whenever that happens, we need to stand up as a society and tell these dangerous tendencies to go fuck themselves before people end up in camps again or some shit.

I have always defended people's rights to be the person they think/feel they are and that we all have equal value. Also inside the military during the time I served there. And I got attacked for it a lot by white racists and homophobic people, and specially in the military. Many also wanted to beat me up for it, but only one tried in the military. But now it is not the white racists that attack me, and it is not the straight people that attack me. The people that attack me now, are people of other colors and people that say they belong to the LGBTQ+ community. I see so many of the people that say they belong to the LGBTQ+ community talk about tolerance, acceptance, empathy and love, but there are so extremely many of them that show nothing of it at all. The only tolerance, acceptance, empathy and love many of them have, is for themselves and not towards the people that don't see themselves belonging to that community. The LGBTQ+ community very often express hate, aggression and intolerance and that make people turn against them instead of for them. I think much of the LGBTQ+ community do a disservice to many people that feel they belong to that category, but maybe not to that community. My daughter identify herself as being a feminine bisexual, but she doesn't want to be associated with the LGBTQ+ community at all.

I watched a Twitch streamer who talked openly about his gender dismorphia some 7 Iyears ago. He was the only boy growing up with 3 sisters and a mother. When he was 14 or something he felt like a woman trapped in a mans body. Over the years and through therapy he managed to resolve the dismorphia and is living a much happier life. He has a wife and 2 children, stopped streaming because it didnt give him the feeling of meaningfulness. Now (i think) he is still in school or is actively working in the medical field. When I see all these people I worry for them and lack of proper therapy. I fully believe some people truly are trans. Elliot (Ellen) Page i think is a prime example. Others, not all of couse, but others I fear are goaded into transitioning rather than doing rigorous proper therapy for gender dismorphia because it is more convenient. Talk therapy is extremely important. I spent 5 years going to talk therapy to try and root out any underlying issue to my depression. Eventually it was concluded I have a genetic disposition to Major Depressive Disorder since multiple members of my family have it going back to my great grand parents. (Boy figuring that out took a long time). Now I am on medication (probably for life) and I am loving life. However I avoided medication initially because it is too easy to obtain and might not be the only way to fix the issue. I might be wrong but I feel many mental disorders/diseases can be treated in a similar manner from my experience. Good luck everyone.

I'm an autistic woman. As a child, I would have been particularly vulnerable to this. Puberty was doubly hard for me; it was the most massive change of my entire life thus far. And because I had vastly different interests than most girls around me, I already felt alien and wrong even before my body started changing. For a while, I was convinced there was something genetically wrong with me, that I had testes hidden inside my body (thanks House episode I should not have watched so young 😑). People were concerned, or convinced that I was lesbian, because I just didn't act or dress like other kids. People even made comments about it. Even though I knew I was a girl, and I knew I wasn't lesbian, I began to wonder... am I really? Are these other things actually true? Does all this discomfort mean I should look to other people to figure it out for me? If I like these things, does that mean I'm obligated to be masculine, even if I didn't want to? It wasn't until my mid to late twenties that I began to feel comfortable in my own body, and accept that my tastes and interests were just different, and weren't an indication of some hidden identity. I was just me; a woman, who is autistic, who is ambivalent about her body. Just that. But if a whole, all encompassing community had been out there, pushing and pushing and pushing, with such conviction that they were right, I probably would have been led down the same path as these people. I would have thought that discomfort could be magically erased if I just changed enough. I would probably be suffering through the same things these people are, who are realizing what they felt was just discomfort with puberty or their own personalities. I am so, so, so glad I had the time and the support I needed to GROW organically and learn acceptance. Because acceptance of change, and your natural self, leads to strength and appreciation for yourself as you are. Which is an incredibly freeing feeling

Its the new war machine. Its a Monty Python sketch, where the urchin says, "What? Done? You're supposed to haggle." Women's oppression stemmed from men's duty and chivalry to protect them. Yet, anyone looking back can tell that the Salem witch trials were wrong, to the point of hurting the women society swore to protect. THIS current time, is exactly that. Notice how little men have to say about this. Because the first order of this game was to ensure than men were shut down. And when they claimed oppression, they were laughed at and thrown out. The people who were bashing the existence of "male only spaces" are now campaigning for how important female-only spaces are. The entire point of this ploy is to divide and dishearten people. Like any war, FEAR is the true weapon. When we cannot trust each other to have a conversation, how much worse can it get? The way to overcome this is to keep talking, like Baggage Claim said. Do not give up, do not shut up, always push back. In the end, all that needs to be clear is that you are not to be trifled with. This game is based on collective: society and socil media and groups. The way to win it is by individualism.

If you accept that there is such a thing as gender (which is to accept something that cannot be defined in any useful, objective way) you're already lost. They don't drive their own cars anyway and a lot of new cars are rentals these days, especially when you have money to blow. Just take cabs everywhere and sit in the back. Your driver will ferry you around just as theirs do and nobody will be any the wiser. If there's a cab company label and someone questions it, just tell them that you own the company and are doing random checks to make sure your employees are working hard, like on Undercover Boss. You're welcome.

You can always find circles of hate that are basically pure echochambers. You probably have different hobbies, ideals and goals and would never become friends, but your hatred for LGBT unites you under one banner. It was the same back in germany. How many millions can you stack this time? Instead of just letting other people choose their own sexuality and idendity, you listen to cherry picked clips of very out there people that only have one goal: ´make them seem insane. There are tons of LGBT people(I am not LGBT) that are completely reasonable and nice people. YOu can always find representives of one group that you can portray in any way you want. Lile how comedy central portrays Trump supporter as dumb rednecks with conflicting ideals and basically sheep that follow their master blindly. But you accept it unquestioned anyway if it is placed against a group you don't morally accept like LGBT folks. Just watch one of those hatepieces that is aimed against a group you are part of and compare them. Maybe try to talk to people who idendify as LGBT and see that they are completely reasonable and just like you basically. But I guess that is too much for the average hateful person. They rather stay in their echochambers and feed off eatch others hate. Or are the only "sane" people to you the ones that believe everything you believe? And by believe I ofcourse mean blindly hate.

Apparently the NHS are trying to bring in a policy whereby the patient loses their rights regarding their body, basically a patient cannot refuse to allow a male who identifies as a female to touch them (Dr,Nurse etc.,) and that if a relative Objects they are to be removed from the hospital, and that even patients who have dementia should be challenged, that the feelings of the worker is more important and should be protected, even woman who have been assaulted, have certain religious or cultural beliefs are to be disregarded. Gone are the days of advocating for patients who are unable to do so for themselves

I shudder to think what would have happened to me if I was that kid today... if I was that tomboy kid I'd definitely be seen as trans by teachers etc... Who knows where I'd be... I'm 32 now and I have just welcomed my second baby and I have a 19 month old as well - with more children to come.... What if I was persuaded to take hormones, get a mastectomy or hysterectomy? I would never have got to experience the most incredible thing a woman's body can do and I wouldn't be able to know my absolute darling treasures that are my children.... My heart really aches for these poor lost souls that are maliciously guided down this path...
