Yeah it was on my list for ages and I couldn’t find a good review so I made one. I’m still disappointed it wasn’t better. I’m even thinking of going back to an iPod and ditching the streaming services altogether.

Thanks for the review. Really appreciate the comparison with other devices (not just dedicated music devices) as well as your experience with actually trying to use it. Lots of points I haven't seen from other reviews about it. For $124, the hassles just doesn't seem worth it. Maybe if it was significantly cheaper it'd be fine dealing with the limitations.

I was really disappointed, having thought about buying one for so long. I thought it was going to simplify my running process by splitting out the music part. Instead it was just a complete hassle.

Nice review! As I have an Apple Watch, I simply can’t count on the battery live to both run, work out and listen to music as I want to. I have the mighty vibe since 2018, and got through the same problems you say, but, I honestly like it. I mean, it could be much better, specially with the conection, but it serves me well enough - and, I am one of those who still have wired iems and headphones, and with those, the quality is very decent.

How about the mighty 3 that got released around the time of this review? Heard it's a big improvement over the vibe.

Yeah I just saw about a week ago that it was updated. I didn’t realise I missed it that close to my review. Honestly I really wanted to like it, but was so disappointed. I guess if they fixed my issues then it could be worth another try. That said I just pulled the trigger on an iPod nano to solve my problem. No streaming services but no syncing issues either. I might be making a video about at some point. 🤔

There is a new Mighty, the Mighty 3. Cannot find much reviews of it but im really curious if its better.

Yeah I saw that, seems to have launched just after I sent mine back. I would be looking for a huge improvement over the previous model. I really wanted to like it but it was such a disappointment. For now I’m back to an iPod believe it or not.

I picked up a pretty mint iPod nano 7th gen. They are the only iPod that comes with Bluetooth, aside from the touch. I will probably make a video about it.

Hello, thanks for your review Chris. Could you mention a bit about the audio quality of these devices for both bluetooth and cabled headsets? Thank you.

Audio quality for the mighty is fine for wired but bad for Bluetooth as mentioned in the video. The others are fine for Bluetooth but none would be considered high quality IMO.

I only bought the garmin 255 music for music and it cuts out. It’s super annoying. Really bad for listening to music

Not used the 255, but that’s really disappointing to hear. I’ve recently gone back to an iPod, believe it or not.

Quick question: can you transfer itunes playlists to the Coros watch as you can with Garmin? or is it just as a treating the watch as a harddrive and plays all the songs in there withoutdistinguishing playlists, genre, etc... Thanks for your time

As far a I can tell it’s just acting like a hard drive, no playlist structure at all.

My Mighty 3 worked for 2 runs and was never able to pair again. Would not recommend.
