Averaging out to around $10.50. That’s almost a 30% increase in minimum wage. Given that in 89’, Jordan4s were 100 dollars then, and now run upwards or 200 a pop. It’s a substantial increase and offset to what people were making.

Personally, I like the 11 breads I think those are an amazing pair of shoes. The styling was leaps and bounds ahead in the shoe game at the time, and they are extremely comfortable and perform well on the court.

For me, 6,7, and 8s. First 3 championships and highly underrated. Those shoes took the shoe game to another level before the 11s.

White kids have always worn Jordans, they just weren't a big deal to them because most white kids don't grow up poor so spending $100 on shoes in 1985 wasn't a flex for them. Matt and Ben grew up poor kids in Southie Boston so to get a pair of Jordans was probably a big deal at their school.

FINALLY! Finally someone agrees with me! The gym reds are EVERYTHING! So much so, I bought my 3 yr old a pair. He’s 5 now and I just bought him another pair bc I’m obsessed with them!
3s are and still my favorites.
I’m partial to red so my grails are the Chicagos and the Bred Toes. Bred toes are my favorite by far
Chicago 1s or Bred 11s. Space Jam 11s and Spiderverse 1s are also honorary mentions for me.

I'm like Chris Tucker I was 18 yrs old Summer of 1989 just joined the USAF and I bought my first pair of Jordan's the Chicago 4's. Back in those days you only had two color ways a Fall Winter and Spring Summer!
