Thank you for another "sisterly chat" as I call it. I am looking forward to December because I celebrate the holiday spirit the entire month by doing advent calendars with my loved ones, both here with me and afar, starting on Dec 1st and each day after for 24 days. I Facetime with my sissy and my 9 year old grandniece every day after she gets home from school and we each open an advent window/box from our treat calendar for that year, and I read a short daily chapter from a children's advent book that has part of a Christmas story to expand upon each day. This year we will be reading How Winston Delivered Christmas. We all love seeing what each of us received as a daily treat and love to hear the story unfold each day. In the evening, I Facetime with my mother, who lives in another state, and we have a cup of tea from our tea advent calendar and a piece of cheese from our cheese advent (we both have the same ones) and we open a window/box from our advent calendar together (we have the same one). I start my morning with a coffee kcup from a coffee advent that I do with my grown son and we text about how we liked that day's flavor. I gift a chocolate advent calendar to him and my lovie (same one) and hear about how they liked that day's yummy truffle treat. My dogs and cat also have an advent calendar to enjoy each day. It takes a little pre-planning to do this and coordinate it, yet it is so worth it. We all enjoy the little surprises each day and the connection with one another. It truly does bring daily joy for 24 days and helps us stay in the moment and savor the beauty, love, and connection of the holiday spirit.

In December, I look forward to our Christmas Parade of Lights here in my hometown. We have an evening parade & all the floats & entries are lit up! It’s a magical evening beginning with the parade, and then the local shops are open late & there are food vendors and all sorts of activities. I use Lancôme most of my adult life and I think it was good for my skin though I have a different 😅lineup now. I also think it’s sweet that you buy gifts for your grandsons girlfriends. I live near Philadelphia and I look forward to our family tradition of Christmas at Longwood Gardens. The flower and light displays are magical.

I watched All the Light we Cannot See on Netflix and cried my eyes out. I wouldn't say I enjoyed it but it was still brilliant. I've separated from my husband and this was my first weekend without my children. The silence has been so hard to deal with, I'm missing them terribly. Hello. It is like meeting up with an old friend when I listen to you talking on your videos. For years, Thanksgiving has been a huge dinner with family and a few close friends. My husband loves to cook and the tables are always loaded. This year, his children are spending the day with their friends. So, we had a large meal on Saturday. The year has also seen a lot of health issues between the two of us. So, it is going to be a day of quiet reflection, counting our blessings and being thankful ❤😊

Great.I love your videos! I always find something! I worked for Lancôme for over 20 years and still buy the Bi-facil! It’s the only thing that ever took off all my eye and lip products. I get the giant size at every sale and it lasts me for a year. I will try the Elf… if it’s good, could save me big $$ Here comes Christmas and have no idea how it got here so fast!! The thing I’m most looking forward to in December is spending some real quality time with my granddaughter. We spend time going to her activities etc..but I’m wanting to do some cozy things where we can really have fun and enjoy the time slowed down a bit! Love your channel.. thanks MaryEllen!😍🎄🥳

Good Morning Mary Ellen, You are glowing and looking beautiful. I love Christmas Music, it is so refreshing to listen to something different. As soon as the stations start playing it, I'm in!! At home I pick my favorite songs and they are playing as we decorate and start all the holiday festivities. Such a wonderful time of year. I hope you and your family have a blessed Thanksgiving!

I am looking forward to seeing family that are coming in for the holidays from all parts of the country. Good morning my beautiful friend! You made me chuckle when you said you asked your grandsons if any of their girlfriends were Christmas gift worthy. Hahaha. I have had the same issue with my granddaughters boyfriends! One is absolutely worthy - he is now a future grand son in law. And another has had a wonderful boyfriend for 6 years and he recently asked mom and dad if he has their blessing to propose to my granddaughter. Definitely both Christmas gift worthy..
