MaryEllen, somehow, I can’t wear pajama bottoms either so I usually wear short nightgowns. I agree with you about fabrics and the way they feel. It’s really very important for me as well. I feel the same way about my nails as I do my face. I just like to have clean buffed fingernails and only once in a while will put some type of polish on them. I also find that short nails are so much easier to live with. It’s always nice to be able to crawl into bed and spend a little time watching a movie or a favorite television series. It’s a great way to wind down after a busy day. I feel them on Sundays so I’m sorry I’m always late to your channel and watching your videos that are always so informative. Afternoon Mary Ellen! Vital Proteins collagen fixed my nails and made my hair grow like crazy. I used half a serving in coffee. I use unflavored. Worked wonders!

Hi MaryEllen, You look lovely today. I notice the highlight on your face, maybe the BB cream you mentioned. Love the nightshirts with viscose and spandex you ordered from Amazon. The bamboo sheets sound delightful. I’ll have to check into that. Thanks for the tip to tap your hard boiled eggs on the ends to get the peeling to come off. I’m still in quite a bit of pain at times, but taking it one day at a time. I’m walking pretty good with the cane, only thing is a have to remember to stand up straight. My body did me in a number of years ago and gradually I am losing my mobility but I am great full for all the time I had before when we did everything we wanted. "Life is what it is "and no matter how I feel I am always "Ok" Money is nice to give as gifts. Have a Happy Birthday and seventy is a special time.

Good Morning ME. I used to also have the worst nails ever - brittle, peeling, cracking. Seems like I tried every nail product on the market, to no avail. CND Solar Oil for Nail and Cuticle care finally did the trick. One coat, every day was the answer. I never thought to pay attention to the cuticles! 😄 Congrats to the winners!

I just recently heard about the bamboo sheets from Darlene on The House of Gray. I started with a pair of pillowcases and now have 2 sets of sheets. Love them! I have had hypothyroidism for over 30 years. My nails were so bad they would split half way down into my nail beds. They just hurt all the time so I wore acrylics nails for years. I decided about a year ago to take them off permanently. I started using the Sports Research Collagen Peptides in my coffee every morning. I also started using IBX on my nails and also started using the Dazzle Dry nail products. It took about 8 months and not only are my nails no longer splitting in the nail beds, I have to file the length down every week. Great video, congratulations to the winners! Prayers and hugs.

I put collagen in my coffee EVERY morning and I swear by it! It has helped my muscle/joint pain I once stopped taking it and my soreness came back! Just a note it takes awhile for it to work, it does not work immediately. I steam eggs in my ipot.

Well, I'm ordering yours - it's exactly what I needed!! I was doing my nails while watching, so I'm glad you liked the Mineral Fusion polish remover. I got a nail fungus from doing those no chip at those cheap nail places,so when the shut down happened. I decided to treat and chop off the damaged part of nail. It was unsightly but they are fine now, so I only use the nail envy and I love it. MaryEllen how I miss getting in warm cozy pjs with Jim and watching our shows. I miss him and the beauty of fall just intensifies the depression. I’m not giving up but it’s a battle everyday to keep going. We just finished the new Justified-City Primevil. That cutie Timothy Oliphant is still Raylon Givens US Marshall / but he has a daughter (actress is his real life daughter). It takes a few episodes to get into it but it’s good!! Boyd Crowder doesn’t show up until the last episode ( it’s a short season/ maybe 8 episodes) but with Boyd showing up at the end that tells me there will probably be another season. When I was teaching I advised all the publications so I was at school late every night and never watched television. My now husband did and really liked Hill Street Blues and NYPD Blue. We watched all the seasons of each show. I didn’t think I’d like either one but LOVED BOTH! I’m jealous/ I took Armour Thyroid for 20 years but now no one will prescribe it and I have the 20 lbs to show for it. The other thyroid medicine does nothing!

The only problem I've had with bamboo sheets is I don't want to use any of my other sheets. My grandson bought a home, and I think I'll give him a couple sets of my sheets. I loved my old sheets until I bought the bamboo sheets. They've kept me cool all summer, and I heard they keep you warm in the winter. Thanks for all the helpful info ME. I have the same egg cooker. The cup to fill the cooker with water says soft, medium, hard. I use the soft and hard settings according to my needs. For hard cooked eggs it works great for soft cooked eggs it’s a big Nono. I am still experimenting with it although we have the egg cooker for many years. My husband hates that little gadget with a passion. About the TV series, lately I watched ‘New Amsterdam’. It’s about stories in a big hospital in NY seen through the eyes of MD’s and patients. Nothing scientific though. Being a nurse I guess you will like that. Love those bloopers every time 😂 Congratulations to the 3 winners 🎉

My mom liked the bamboo sheets and nightgowns but did not like them together. She said it was hard to move in bed, so she only wore the bamboo nightgown when she had another kind of sheet on the bed. Age really liked Cuddl Dud sheets in the winter. For nails, I like Hard as Hoof nail strengthening cream I found on Amazon. Did Built send you a free sample of of a new chocolate puff. It was a chunk one that was good. Maybe Oreo chunk? Not sure. Have a blessed week 🙏🏼❤️

That is an excellent idea to cancel the same day. I used to use Sally Hansen Nail Hardner I think it was called. It made my nails so hard they hurt when they broke!

Omigosh! I think we are soul sisters! My jammies are almost more important than my clothes! I also hate to wear "pants" or have long nightgowns in bed. Pockets are MANDATORY! I'm considering the IT stuff you suggested. I have their CC. I rarely wear makeup. The CC is good, but a tad too thick. You relieved me a bit b/c my husband and I don't like watching the same stuff. I lean toward the more non-fiction/science stuff. Have to say that I do love/recommend "The Morning Show," on Apple TV. Mostly because it mirrors the rise and fall of sexism and racism in the television industry - as well as the rise and fall of Matt Lauer (I didn't watch) portrayed by Steve Carell. It doesn't disappoint!

My cousin that lives with us, had a very bad accident on his job and broke his hip. Hospital, therapy, it's been busy. And he's not healing completely. He may have to have a hip replacement. They're trying sonic therapy 🙏🏻 and hoping that works. He was very active before the accident. We try to keep his spirits up. He wants to do everything he was before. I just became overwhelmed and stopped commenting. I love you to pieces. You are the best! ❤️

Oh my gosh, MaryEllen, just about everything you talk about, I have used or tried. My daughter got me several Soma Cool Nights pajamas for my birthday, and I absolutely love them! I have bamboo bedsheets and they also have never been folded 😂. I have an egg cooker similar to yours, but mine does not beep when the time is up. I wish it did! I also take thyroid medicine and cannot take the generic version. Apparently, for a drug to be approved as a generic, there is a slight variation or fluctuation from the original that is allowed. Well I guess our thyroids are so sensitive that slight variation makes a difference. So when people say generics are the same thing, that's not entirely true. I also keep my nails short, and that’s where I'll end this long post! Enjoy the fall weather!

Wow, we do have so much in common Ms Indiana!! Love Cool Nights too. I've taken so much Armour Thyroid in my life, I am sure I must be part swine, lol. My oldest grandson bought a home and has a queen size bed. Now I have someone to pass my very nice (but not bamboo) sheets to. Hi Mary Ellen. I am with you on English usage, and that's not simply because I'm a copy editor who began her career with Oxford University Press. Poor usage is like fingernails down a chalkboard to me. I worked on a huge project with Oxford and there was one author from Ireland whose prose was a delight. I would save his manuscripts to use as palate cleansers after slogging through the clunky language of most manuscripts. An example of hideous usage that really is a stab when I hear/read it is the verb sat used as an intransitive verb as in I was sat in the waiting room or I've been sat here. NO! Unless someone picked that person up and plonked him/her down on a chair they were asked to take a seat, or he/she took a seat in the waiting room. I fear this will go the way of impact, which meant to hit with force but now means to have an effect. Shudder. I prefer Zelle, which was begun by banks to help customers who'd had problems with PayPal. One of the many things I like about Zelle is you don't give your banking information out. The funny thing about it is the name. When an accounts department for a university press asked if I could use Send and Receive Money I didn't know what that was. It took seconds to tell my bank which account to use to send or receive money and then the deposit was made. That name was self-explanatory, as was the next version---SurePay. Zelle? Not even people at my bank know why that's the current name. Enjoy your birthday month. Fall and winter are my favorite season. I have many turns of phrase I adore and collect in commonplace books.It would be hard to select a favorite. Perhaps the apple doesn't fall from the tree, which my mother used often and when speaking of a particular aunt I would add but in her case it rolled quite a bit.

Built bar has really hit it out of the park with their Puffs…I like them better than the original bars! I agree, they are a bit pricy, but they are also keeping me from eating other sweets, so that’s worth it! Hi MaryEllen. I always love to hear about what’s making you happy.. I have gotten so many ideas from you. I also don’t remember things like what books I’ve read or shows I’ve watched. My husband and I are always looking for good series to watch. We both enjoyed Justified. Now that we are retired, for 8 years now, we will go back and rewatch our favorite series. Surprisingly, we both say, do you remember that. Usually I watch your videos as soon as they come out, but I was not able to because my husband was in the hospital. I love the Built Puffs. My favorite of the regular bars was White Chocolate Salted Caramel so when they can out those I bought two boxes. Like you, I'm worth the cost of the puffs/bars.

I made mistake of getting microfiber once....it turns yellow an gets hot Lol. I can't believe i reached the stage where my high lite is sheets.

It is always a joy to watch your videos. I too have brittle, splitting nails lately. I like to keep them short. Reading the comments it seems a lot of your subscribers use Vital Protein to improve their nails and hair. I may have to try a small container. Just finished 12 PT treatments for my fractured shoulder and confirmed with Ortho that the horse shoe break has healed. He now wants me to do 12 more PT treatments for strengthening and mobility. Your skin looks beautiful in this video. Keep up whatever you are doing. Traveling with my brother again for 5 days for another MRI test for him. It should be easier this time without an arm sling. Aww MaryEllen🥰💞 Sorry I’ve been MIA but just needed a YT break🙌🏻 Anyways what a great video😍 Love your new nighties an a compliment from your fabby hubby is definitely a bonus🤩 So I’ve been using castor oil on my nails, eyelashes/eyebrows and a scar on my hand. The results are pretty fantastic😛 Firstly my cuticles are so good🤷🏼‍♀️ my nails are stonger, my scar has improved massively🥳 however, the most amazing thing is not only are my eyebrows p/eyelashes thicker and darker but I swear to you my Perimenopausal 7yr dry eye nightmare has almost disappeared🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ I also have an Astigmatism that actually clears for a few hours each time I use the Castor Oil so if I’m driving at night I use it beforehand and I promise I can see much more clearly🤷🏼‍♀️ am stunned to say the least! The inly downside is its not very pleasant to use🤢 no likey sticky textures🙄😂 Aww I’ve missed you loads my Special Friend🥰💞 Away to watch your next one now😛🙌🏻💜 xx

I was hoping you were taking a break, and wasn't sick of me. Sometimes I get sick of seeing myself, lol. I am thrilled to hear about the amazing results you've received my using castor oil!! Because of you I am going to use it on my nails. Many years ago I used it on my lashes, and brows, but the only thing I got was milia. I may have purchased too thick of a solution. I love that last nightgown you showed. Pretty color and it looks like the sleeves were a bit longer too. I drink collagen all the time and can’t ever taste it. Hi MaryEllen! Collagen really has helped my nails. I take 8 grams of the powder in my coffee each morning, I use a handheld frother and whip it up in my cream then I add the coffee. It is tasteless and makes a lovely thick foam! Also, jojoba oil on your nails does wonders. Just a little drop for all ten nails. Thanks for this fun video!

Hi MaryEllen! I love soft silky fabric & Modal is nice but I refuse to buy bamboo products bc panda bears eat almost solely bamboo & they are endangered. Typing makes my nails grow lol. Only thing I put on them is moisturizer. I eat keto so meat heavy, high good fat, moderate protein & I'm still not convinced that we need to add in collagen. No tv here tho recently I watched all of Knots Landing on a bit torrent program. Congrats to the winners! Very concerned re E, last court date was 9/18, change of judge so now put off til 9/25 but he has not called me & there's $ on his account from me. Will try calling medical there today to see if he's ok. The city & county make more & more money the longer they keep him there. Last times I've spoken to hi he was in high spirits, hasn't even been on psych meds, very rational so this non-communication is extremely worrisome although I'm doing my best to stay positive. I am very similar when it comes to grammar in both writing and speech. Not ending a sentence in a preposition for example. It does sound odd when one does not no matter the correctness. I am more laxed with my speech depending on the audience. Nonetheless, you may still find me correcting myself even if I know you don't know or care. :P I hope you give yourself more grace with your videos and even go unedited or live sometime. I'd watch no matter what. 🥰 Something I say that my mom used to say. "If wishes were horses, beggars would ride."
