He has said in the past that what prevents him from getting married is himself; he simply isn’t ready for that step. I’m sure when the right person comes along, he will know-no need to pressure him if he doesn’t feel ready. I would have loved to see him end up with someone non celebrity so they balance themselves out but will have to wait and see, look at Uncle Jesse and George Clooney, everyone thought they would never settle down and look at them now with wife and kids.

I've been on a Jake Gyllenhaal movie binge as of late. He is such a phenomenal actor!! His range is insane. In regard to the subject of this clip, perhaps he is just dating, keeping it non committal and on his terms so his focus can stay on his career first. Most men want to achieve certain professional goals they have set for themselves before they feel truly successful inside. Even though the public see him as a huge successful star, he may not necessarily feel the same way about his career and accomplishments yet. And then there's the obvious for most men; being afraid of that kind of commitment and intimacy with one woman for the rest of his life. A lot of men can't or won't fathom that thought until after they have broken many hearts and the table turns and they go through that same heartache. Also Most men in hollywood chase women half their age or are always dating a different model or actress every few months. This is atypical bachelor lifestyle where the guy is enjoying running through many women and women tolerating it. But when the one comes along its undeniable and no force can keep a man away from that, not even his fear. Wishing this talented man all the best!! One awesome actor!!

I think he's very misunderstood. I've been a swiftie since day one, but Jake was my first crush (back in the early 2000s). All Too Well renewed my interest in him and I've been watching videos. The thing about having a lot of options is that sometimes you just dabble instead of making a commitment. Cuz dabbling is fun but commitment is hard work.

It's a sum of everything I read and saw before... Some new Infos??? Every man, who knows women had learned at a point, that women can be very stressful. Maybe he don't marry because he prefere his work (stress, he works really a lot) more than that, a parship can cause. Maybe he didn't found a woman, who is tough enough live her own life, is confident enough not to break out in gelousy dramas, when he meets or works with exactly those beauties and is smart enough be a strong, sexy and balancing partner at his side???

many people buy into his wholesome act. how does he seem crazy?

i thought the eternal bachelor meant he was gay. roomies are significant others. i would welcome that, for him.

Many cultures have done arranged marriages for ages, and they work very well. This is because arranged marriages are based on statistics and reality versus emotions, so they usually tend to be good matches. This is not always the case, of course, but is generally the case.
