I do a 18 hrs easily everyday.. Its very very doable. You just need to increase it gradually.. just skip breakfast.. Or keep pushing your breakfast to later in the morning.. Then you gradually can skip it all together.. also in the morning first thing when you wake up I noticed if you take Neem bark juice it suppresses any false hunger. Breakfast is not necessary to start your day.. But if you are used to it you just need to taper off it. And breakfast is not the most important meal of the day. That's a myth. Also I take 1 meal a day around 4-5pm.. Lots of fibre and fills me up to last till the next day. Also important not to eat after sun down as your digestion is not as it's peak.

My sad story is that I followed intermittent fasting and lost huge amount of weight 76 kg to 61 kg and people started asking me if I am not feeling well since I lost around 15 kgs.. They made me discontinue the fasting process by asking me the same question wherever I go.. Sad reality of India where people think people who are thin is unhealthy.. 😢

Thats not sad .. Sad story is you listened to those people and believed what they said rather than believing the actual benefits that you must have felt in your body when you lost weight. Didnt you feel lighter ? with more energy ? better mood ? didnt your clothes fit better ? your skin looked brighter ? I am sorry but you chose to ignore all these amazing positive changes and discontinued what actually benefitted you. :( ........................ Let me ask you this ... since you gained weight again did all these same people come and congratulated you ? Did they come and add value to your health and life in any way .. gave you money or shared your responsibilities ? Please ... my sincere request to you is STOP asking yourself this question permanently ... LOG KYA KAHENGE ???? The quality of your life will improve so much so quickly ! Trust me ! Because no matter what you do .. people will never stop saying useless things and bring you down in any way they can ! So only do what is great for your body mind health and happiness. Kindly respond to my message if that makes sense to you. and thanks for reading such a long message :)

Hi, Dr. Pal... Firstly, i would like to convey my heartfelt thanks to you for your immensely informative videos that has inspired me to atlast embark upon my weight-loss journey. I had tried this earlier also but was not consistent enough but this time with the guidance of your videos I have managed to pull out some result which I would humbly like to share with you. I started from 6th June 2023 with 73.5kgs. I tried to follow some of your basic guidelines like 16 hours of fasting, no outside, junk or packaged food, no sugar, 4lts of water daily, 150minutes of exercise a week and dinner around 7.30-8pm. After the first fortnight my weight came down to 71.35kgs and today after the next fortnight I am 69.50kgs. I am so grateful to you because your encouraging videos have helped me to believe that even I can do this ....thanks a ton doc from the bottom of my heart....

I have never followed a single thing constantly for more than a week and if I do I should give the credit to the person who helped me do, in this case , I feel like I have taken a step to healthy lifestyle and I am sticking to it ( I have tried intermittent fasting several times before and have failed to continue following more than a week just like SK ) without having second thoughts. But I don’t know from where you came your videos are life changing and I have crossed my 1 week challenge and this credit also goes to Mrs Pal , her 30 day challenge that she posted helped me gain confidence because I am not an exercise person and diet along with fasting is enough to have a healthy lifestyle. Have been doing it now for 10+ days and I see lots of changes in my skin and why not I feel like my mood is uplifted too. Thank you so much Dr. Pal you are one life saver. I usually do fasting on Mondays. I was watching a podcast on fasting , which suggested that it would be great to give a break to our digestive system on Monday especially after having all the food over the weekends. I've been following this from quite sometime and I really feel good especially on a Monday. It keeps me active to beat the Monday blues! Although I drink a couple of cups of black coffee ☕. It was definitely difficult in the initial days but eventually it became a good habit.

I had a question concerning taking medication in the morning yet am not due my breakfast yet, does that affect my 16:8 am.doing at the moment after I succeeded with 12:12 for 6 weeks? So far I have lost 5.8 kgs esp as am.pre diabetic am hoping your inspirational videos even for us who aren't of Indian decent are the best, I have tried every method before and failed but your I believe is making a difference in my life especially as I have 3 young children as well.

@@samsimgeo I was a heavy eater before I started IF. First 2 weeks I began with 16:8 hr fast .. and consumed up to 3000 calories. As my hunger reduced with time, I found myself eating only 1 big meal a day (around 2500+ calories). In these two weeks I lost 4kg. Subsequently, I transition to OMAD fasting and noticed nothing but benefits (mainly in the mental area. I've been more focused both at work and personal life. I also noticed improved memory and better ability to brainstorm and think of new ideas or solution). On the physical side, I noticed my shirts were looser and daily complements from colleagues relevant to weight loss). But I truly believe that the mental benefits outweighed the physical and weight benefits. Today im on my 5th week of IF (and 3rd week of OMAD diet with calorie intake up to 1.2k) I now weigh 85kg (lost 8kg in 4 weeks). N.B the reason my calorie intake was reduced by 50% wasn't my choice. I found it difficult to consume more than 1200 calories in such a short eating window. So that was unplanned and lucky. Again, I'm happy with the results but I feel a bit annoyed since I found myself stuck at 85kg range for the last 2 weeks (I compare Wednesday to wednesday so tomorrow I'll complete the 5th week and hopefully I'll break the dead lock). Regardless of the results tomorrow, a change probably should be considered (I think Dr. Mindy may agree with me on this one). So I will continue the OMAD and increase level of physical activity (I only play 1 hour of football per week - will add 30min spin sessions 3x a week) and then compare results to asses the level of impact my new physical activities will have on the results of IF so far. In conclusion, and based on my short experience, I found that IF was the best diet I've tried. And looking forward forward seeing the long term results. Hope this helps 🙏

you've hit the plateau because your fasting insulin is high. high fasting insuling will produce hunger hormones so you will crave more and which will prevent you in going OMAD. If you do IF + KETO both simultaneously, your plateau will easily break in couple of weeks. transition into KETOSIS is not easier at first, you need to supplement your OMAD with multivitamins and lots of salts and electrolyte, because in ketosis body loses its water and salt. Follow Dr. ERIC BERG's healthy keto diet in his youtube channel. I've gone through this phase and already hit the goal after losing 26 kgs and getting 6 pack abs and now i feel confident enough to reach any weight no.
