So true it happened to me because i was groomed by my cousin now I"m the black sheep of the family and don't talk to any of them at all. Horrible horrible family who only see me as the grown adult who takes money from them so now I live poor and try to work but if a manager is awful and treats me bad I won't go in the next day and I just shut down but never again I'm okay leaving if someone treats me awfully...leaving friend's, family, work situations, churches. I'm so lonely but the animals outside comfort me and so does the train near by and the Amish people that show up. lol

to those that said he was a teenager and could fight him off. Remember, this man is in a place of authority, his father. Authority is a huge factor even between 2 adults which is why at places of employment, when a person in a higher position uses it to intimidate in any way, sexually or physically, they can be fired or sued. God Bless this man

Ppl that say that don’t know how you freeze when you know you can’t win a battle… it’s extremely insensitive. Men should talk about their experience with sexual abuse more often. I’m sure there are many men that experience sexual assault trauma but decide to internalize it. If it still impacts them till this day, they need to speak up and bring awareness so kids stay aware of this grooming process, sexual assault consequences and it’s impact later in life.

Brother I can understand you, my stepphather raped me at 10, with the same manipulation, I remouved the rape and I had to go through psychoanalysis for years to accept the rape, which I still don't remember. I've struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts, and had the wrong partners, but I've always fought. Your Mother was blind like mine, I spoke to her at 33 about the rape, but she didn't accept, hurting me. I kicked my stepfather out of the house when I was 18 to defend my mother and brother. My brother got married And she made it through that horrible time. I had a lot of consolation from God and from judo. 😂😂😂 Il mio Ex husband tried to kill me when I was pregnant, but I survived that too. I left him right away, and after a few meetings I raised my son alone. I don't meet my other half, there is always A mistake. But I always trust in God.

Update: 10/02/21 According to article in ‘PARADE’ in 2012, a psychologist study showed that children need to know (1) that things don’t always work out (2) and you need to know about your ‘Family History’! My comments: Find out how your parents and others were treated by who they thought were their parents, grandparents, uncles/aunts, cousins, great uncles/aunts? Who were their enemies and what happened: who got after them, tried to harm them or who tried to kill them or who killed them? Their dates, places of birth, death, marriages? Their children 👶? Did they go to school: where, when and how? Why didn’t they go to school or further their education? When did they leave home and why? Workplaces? A group member’s comments below: A foundation (family history) is so important ... even if just stories about a parent’s life experiences. Agreed, we need to raise children to be resilient. The other part psychologists are saying, it is important that parents allow children to solve their own problems. Too often parents step in to fix, but we will not be here forever to solve their problems..
