What Muslims aren’t allowed to do in France

For the past 20 years, France has implemented a series of laws that have significantly restricted its Muslim community. Here is a list of what French Muslims are not allowed to wear or do in their own country:

If the Muslim countries can ban the bikini and enforce a hijab dress code, why can’t France ban religious symbols that go against French values and enforce their own dress code?

You have 5m+ people in France. If you think doing that is beneficial then you are wrong. Muslims are sett to become 40% of France’s population by 2070-2100. If you want to start a Muslim revolution in France go ahead.

simple answer: France and the West must be consistent regarding how they apply their constitutional values of liberte (liberty) and freedom. Meaning that women can dress how they want. unless you want to forgo that liberte is a fundemental human right meaning that the government can potentially ban bikinis in public (which they should). While our muslim countries do not accept classical or modern liberalism or any form of utilitarianism or hedeonism. We are not very induvusualistic. Therefore, our constitution is not on the same basis as your's but based on the quran and the prophet tradition which makes up the bulk of shariah law. Meaningt that we can enforce dress codes!! You guys cannot even prove that classical liberalism is true from first principles!!

@@radirandom133 There are dress codes in the West as well. It is wrong to say that someone can just wear whatever they want in public. There are indecent exposure laws for example. The key is that whatever the government decides has to be applicable to all.

🧕🧔 Here are some things that Muslims are not allowed to do in France: 1⃣ Wear a niqab or burqa in public: In 2010, France became the first country in Europe to ban the wearing of full-face veils in public. This law was met with backlash from the Muslim community, who saw it as a violation of their religious freedom. 🚫🧕 2⃣ Pray in the streets: In 2011, the French government passed a law that prohibits public worship in the streets. This was a direct response to the growing number of Muslims praying in the streets due to the lack of mosque space. While the intention was to ease tensions, this law has been criticized for targeting the Muslim community. 🙏🏽🚫 3⃣ Serve halal food in schools: In 2020, the French government announced that schools will no longer be allowed to serve halal meals, claiming that it goes against the principle of secularism. This decision has caused outrage among Muslim parents and students, who argue that it is discriminatory and goes against their dietary restrictions. 🍗🚫

📜 The French government has a long history of secularism, with the principle of laïcité being deeply ingrained in its society. This means that religion and state affairs should be kept separate, and the French government has gone to great lengths to enforce this. In the name of preserving secularism, laws have been put in place that restrict certain practices and expressions of faith, particularly for the Muslim community. 🙏🏽🕌

I don't think you know what hypocrisy means. What France is doing is western hypocrisy. No Muslim country states total freedom then goes against this principle. They govern with limits. Western nations claims freedom and democracy, they even invade and colonise most of the globe to 'gift' this 'freedom' and 'democracy' - including france. So it is hypocrisy for France to implement such bans, restrictions and laws that goes against their core principles

Using the old worn out artifact argument really does not have any bearing on the choice of country people choose to live in. There are plenty of countries which have laws based on lots of different histories to choose to live in. To go to a country and demand they become part of another culture is ridiculous. If you accept the passport or visa you have agreed to accept the laws of that country. Full stop end of. Turn your point of view around and say both countries involved in the argument you make about making good harm done to each over the centuries, then at least there is room for discussion. Remember not everyone wants to live in a slave based society structured in the manner of those followed by the Mohamedians. At the end of the day the only people who really benefit from the current goings on are the rich and powerful of all sides, be it Secular or any of the Religions. Nothing is going to change the poor are going to remain poor on both sides - the rich are going to get richer no matter what the outcome of this current situation is. @@user-xu2qg2zf6u

Why do Muslims criticise the west and believe we should adapt Sharia law when they, in their countries, can't accept everybody's beliefs? If Iran, Afghanistan and Muslim countries can ban women wearing the burkini and short clothes, France has every right to ban niqab and burqa! The hijab is still allowed and with niqab and burqa there is a clear safety reason! There is no safety reason as to why a woman shouldn't be able to show her body! Freedom works both ways and I SAY THIS AS A MUSLIM HIJABI. I WEAR THE HIJAB; IT'S MY CHOICE. NO FORCE. @@OmarHyari2009 - Because of what covering the hair stands for and represents. And fairness. The day my wife can walk into Mecca with uncovered hair and in shorts and halter, then we are "fair" from both sides. But it always seems the Muslims want to insist their way is the only way. In the West, our way should rule, as your ways rule in Arabia lands. To me, the Hijab represents Hamas, ISIS, Taliban, Islamic Republic, ... you know - those that kill women who don't want to cover their hair. And question - why so so many Muslim women not wear the head coverings? And don't want to. It obviously has nothing to do with the religion. Sorry, but that is how I feel.

@@LanielPhoto In Islam, Hijab is obligatory for Muslim women. And they should be allowed to wear it wherever they want. It's not about freedom, it's about modesty. A woman has the right to cover her entire body without you being able to see anything, but the same cannot be said for the opposite, because then the modesty level decreases. Why do you think women are so safe in Saudi and Afghanistan? Why does r@p3 happen so often in the US? Why do you want your wife to walk uncovered? Is it so that other men can see her? Note: we don't un@l1ve them for not covering hair, where did you get that from?

Basically, an old fashion Arab belief. It is cultural, not religion. And if they feel they have to cover their heads, then stay in Arabia. When in Rome, do as the Romans do - ever hear of it ?

I mean a lot of that have been done in Muslim majority countries before. Turkey under Attaturk banned the hajab and was a vocal atheist. Iraq under Saddam, Syria under Assad and Egypt under Nasser have pushed policies against Islamic separatism. This isn’t specific to France alone, secular middle eastern states have done the same. I’m not going to lie though, banning swimwear is a bit absurd in my opinion.
