And at least there's some feeling of closure now, seeing what this current "new" Rock is like. It's ain't bad, certainly worse than his original run, but it's the best thing the WWE has had in more than a decade - there's no doubt about that.

He was a true great in the Attitude Era and when he was Hollywood Rock, but not in 2024 or even 2012 with those exact same catchphrases. This new heel version of the Rock has the potential to be great however, and the talent is so clearly still there.

This is the problem; modern Rock bears zero resemblance in gimmick of the Rock of 00 when he was arguably the most over guy ever. Hes no where near as funny, edgy or charismatic. All we get now is Dwayne Johnson, thats why none of Rocks runs as a face will ever work today because he comes across as dull corny and sanitised.

Austin didn't do it alone either need stop the narrative that he saved wwf singlehandedly he was closely associated with Vince and had a good supporting cast in 98. Austin didn’t save it himself no but he was the biggest draw. He gets the loudest pops no matter heel or face. Austin wrestled injured multiple times and carried the company.
