Yeah, even as low as 360p is viable if you absolutely need that extra performance. Minecraft is low resolution verified ✅

the lowest resolution is just 1 pixel but theres no lowest **playable** resolution because everyone is different 140ms ping player complain that 300ms ping is impossible to play same with 60ms ping player complain that 140ms ping is impossible to play

enjoyed the video! just as constructive criticism from a viewer perspective it did feel like it dragged a bit.. like you talked for over 90 seconds just about 720p and I'm not gonna lie I just skipped forward to the next resolution multiple times. idk if you have a script but it just seemed to ramble a bit, just my opinion tho

Appreciate the feedback! I don't do scripts, otherwise I would stumble and mess up more than I already do 🤣 I think I let 720p be as long as I did because it's a nostalgic resolution for me for Minecraft. I used to play a lot of Minecraft at 720p. I also think I said some stuff while playing 720p that I wanted to leave in the video. This is meant to be sort of a casual gameplay video above all else, more of a view from a casual perspective if that makes any sense. I think rather than pace it better, adding in some more edits could've probably played in my favor with watchability. I usually do a bit more editing than I did in this video, but for whatever reason I just didn't put as much time into edits as usual. Regardless though, any feedback is appreciated! I do not mind you skipping through whatsoever, in fact I expect people to skip through (hence the timestamps I added for ease of skipping). Some people like the more rambling type of videos, whereas others like the more fast paced and edited type of videos. It's hard to find a good mix between them and I'm still trying to find the perfect middle ground! 😎

I'd say for minecraft you dont need more than 1080p 144hz to get a good experience. If you are playing Minecraft of all things at 1440 why not just play in 4k? At 720p the colors are definitely way worse if you look enough but its still good. 360p is near 720p but those edges, THOSE EDGES OH MY GOD. 180p is just early pocket edition as it would lag so much your device downscaled it. The 90p menus are probably because you actually set the resolution directly to 90p but a setting automatically messes up. This happened to me when i experimented with low resolution. also the hearts look so garbo at 45p but you can technically still play as low as 18p because you can actually see enough to play it

Honestly the recording didn't fully do the resolution's justice. During gameplay, I scaled all the resolutions to my monitor's native resolution (1440p) with a software called Lossless scaling and everything scaled 100% properly. Even at 180p the menus and text were basically as sharp as they would've been at 1440p since it used integer scaling and I used perfect multiples of 1440p. I could honestly play as low as 180p if I absolutely had to 🤣

@@BrandanFischer On the app snipping tool (its built in to windows) you can record clips that are only a certain part of the screen (i don't know if its on windows 10 but it is on 11)

@@iamrickroll. I use OBS to record Windows but it has to use some sort of upscaling filter to accommodate for the lack of resolution I think. I could probably tweak the settings and make it look better 🤔

@@BrandanFischer Yes, recording software will zoom in but at resolution lower than the lowest designed, wich is usually 360 or 240p it does a horrible job. Most KZreadrs have a 4k display but record at 1080 because it takes up 4x less space on the drive. Also your software may have attempted to downscale and zoom to fill at the same time, forcing it to not be able to fit all content

I should probably start putting a warning up to be honest 😭 Having the menu is a vital part of gameplay so I didn't wanna disable that. I'm sure there's a mod that lets you adjust the hud size to whatever you please but I didn't have it unfortunately 😢

You could have turned off the menu to see better 45p with just F1

Yes, but that would make the game unplayable in a way. I guess my focus on what makes a game "playable" is both on the actual visuals, as well as how the UI scales. The hot bar is an integral part of gameplay so I'd like to keep it on 😎

since my pc is terrible and can barely run minecraft im gonna see how it fares with the 3ds edition resolution 😂
