What is the Constitution Party? What are the political views of the Constitution Party?

What is the Constitution Party? What are the political views of the Constitution Party?
In this video I discuss the viewpoints of the Constitution Party on several different topics. We first look at an overview of the fundamental views of the party itself, including their 3 Pillars and their founding by Phillip Howard. Then we talk about their stances in the following areas:
Intro - 00:16
Taxes - 1:14
Economy - 2:00
Healthcare - 2:40
Civil Rights - 3:26
Education - 4:15
Immigration - 4:51
Although there are many other views of the Constitution Party, this is meant to give a brief and informative introduction to the Constitution Party's platform.
Information for this video was pulled from the following sources:

I agree. The Constitution Party needs to do a much better job of marketing and doing outreach through social media. They need to take some lessons from the Libertarian Party. The Libertarian Party has grown to almost 750,000 members and is on the ballot in almost all states. It is a little pathetic that the Constitution Party expects people to go out of their way to reach out and join the party instead of the party going out of its way to reach people. Maybe I am being too judgemental, but it is frustrating that third parties like this can't get more traction.

I'm a Constitutional Conservative (The same thing represented here really) and the major differences between us is we actually believe in small government. Many would say we're Anarchists in views which is absurd simply because we stand on the founding principles of this nation. A typical Conservative "says" they do, but votes against their beliefs. Not necessarily you, but in general. Also, most typical Conservatives are ok with police trampling on their constatutional rights and aiding the state in revenue. They say they're against it, but when push comes to shove they love the state. We often purpose ideas like privatized police force. Why? To keep the state from monetizing you so that you have control over the police force not the govenor. After all, you pay taxes for that already so why do they need to pick the public off for more money? They say it's to reduce accidents or whatever but the truth is, if that were the case, then why don't give tickets at the time of accidents and not when there isn't an injured party?

I have been part of the Constitution Party leadership for 21 years. For Republicans who call themselves conservatives who do not support nor defend the Constitution, are nothing more than the right wing of the Democrat party. Members in Washington take and oath to support and defend the Constitution. When they do not, they are no longer honorable, nor qualified to serve in Washington. If we do not vote to defend or support the Constitution, we become serfs who vote to end our Bill of Rights or our Constitutional protections from an usurping federal government. When was the last time the Republicans defended the Bill of Rights, or the first 10 Amendments to the Constitution If a Republican does not support nor defend the Constitution, you are not conservative. So tell me, if not supporting and defending the Constitution, what are you conserving? A party platform and ideology? So are Democrats I reject the primus that the Constitutional Party is far right. The Constitutional Party believes in enforcing the Constitution those in Washington take an oath to support and defend the Constitution. To claim the Constitution Party is far right as written, then the Constitution is far right, which is ridiculous! It's the Rule of law! Rejecting the Constitution empowers the federal gov., which minimize or Constitutional protections

@@TheElleFactorAgain HI Elle, there as been arguments over the fact 3rd parties are denied access to the Presidential debates. The two parties make the rules to limit competition. But it violates the Equal Protection Clause. The 2 partirs say if we can get enough votes, then we don't deserve to debate the 2 major parties. But how can we get our voice out there if denied access? It's difficult to get a voice in op-eds when editorial boards consider far right. Imagine, wanting to insure the Rule of Law is enforced is considered far right wing. This propaganda is pushed by both Democrats and Republicans to limit our voice. But if we do not return to the Rule of Law (the Constitution) we become a democracy governed by lawless mob rule, as we have today. The Constitution confines and limits the power of government, but democracy rules without limits. American voters must understand this, or our Bill of Rights become meaningless.

We already see potus cab make federal law, vaccine mandates and such, which violates ARTICLE I, SEC 1. Congress believes it can create and pass any arbitrary law it wishes, in violation of ARTICLE I, SEC 8. I believe it was around 1919, the federal gov wanted to ban booze, but lacked authority by law. So they pushed for an amendment the correct way. Today, they rule over drugs, housing, Healthcare, and many other things unauthorized by ARTICLE I, SEC 8. It's all unconstitutional and it violates ours and States rights.

This is straight from their platform: We affirm the God-given legal personhood of all human beings from fertilization to natural death, without exception. The first duty of the law is to protect innocent life, created in the image of God. No level of civil government may legalize or fund the taking of life without justification. Legalizing the termination of innocent life of the born or unborn, whether by abortion, infanticide, euthanasia or suicide, is a direct violation of their unalienable right to life. As to matters of rape and incest, we empathize with those abused and assert the need to provide immediate protection and care in a safe environment. Instead of the further violence of abortion, the mother and the child should be provided with compassionate care. We find it unconscionable to take the life of an innocent child for the crimes of his father.

@@chrisstiegman4070 The way it was worded in the video made it sound like they didn't acknowledge the 16th amendment. I mean if it has to do with not agreeing with it then thats a completely different argument. Don't say its unconstitutional when it totally is by definition. Instead you should say it ought to be unconstitutional. Now that being said I know how it was ratified I know my history. But when you say unconstitutional I think it contradicts the constitution which is the highest law of the land. A law can contradict itself but the latest law over rules the older law the constitution can also contradict itself via amendments. In which case the latest amendment over rules the contradicted rule. Example the 18th and 21st amendments. But the law can not contradict the constitution because the constitution superscedes laws under it. So you can't make laws that limit free speech because of the first amendment. Federal Laws superscedes state laws meaning that the states law can not save you from federal law. However, a state law can in some capacity contradict federal law. (I have forgotten why thats possible so i will have to brush up on how governments work.) Thats how its possible for a federal law saying weed is illigal but a state could say it is legal. (Its a complicated thing) Anyway I do have disagreements with your statements on how it was made by "spoiled authoritarians" but that being said I am not in disagreement that income tax is not right. I personally don't care as long as the government doesn't squander my money like they already do. Really I would be willing to let them tax my oncome if they would pass an amendment that forces the governement to have a balanced budget. And really you don't even need that, Texas doesn't have a state income tax yet it pays out more to the federal government than it takes from it and it has a balanced budget required by the state constitution. ALL THE WHILE HAVING TO MAKE A NEW BUDGET EVERY 2 YEARS INSTEAD OF 1!!! This is because our legislatures only has one congressional session every 2 years. It only meets for more sessions in emergancies. Those sessions are called special sessions and they are hyper focused on issues at hand such as Covid laws. BTW to my knowledge they haven't met for any covid laws everything has been by state order. Anyway, I don't like income taxes because of how our government has wasted money on nothing. I would allow it to continue if they passed a balanced budget amendment.

I didn't say in my response to your comment that the CP was saying it is unconstitutonal but I can see where you might have thought I was. So let me clear this up. The person who made this video should have been more accurate on their views by saying they believe income tax ought to be unconstitutional, instead of saying they believe it is. The constitution party does have many very similar views to the Republican parties. Most Republican politicians are rich people who would benefit from the policies the constitution party would push. Many of those policies are actually around today to a large extent, such as low taxes (usually for the rich), low minimum wage, less government control of the economy (which means less services to be provided by a mostly non profit-motive driven government that would help lower and middle class people more than profit-motive driven corporations would), and strict immigration policy. If the U.S. had a proportional representation system, around 20% of current republican politicians would likely instead be part of the constitution party. The constitution party’s ideology is more or less dominant today, in this case it’s in the form of neoliberalism, which both Republican and Democratic Party politicians are in support of.

I get where you're coming from. I know most people don't agree with the Bible, but from a biblical perspective, God created 3 institutions: the family, the church, and the state. Biblically speaking, they are to be separate, as each has its own roles and responsibilities within its respective God-ordained jurisdiction. All 3 are responsible to God and not to one another, so while there is a separation of church and state, the king is still told to "Serve the the LORD with fear..." and "kiss the Son" (Psalms 2 11-12). Again, I know everyone won't agree with this, but I hope it at least made since. Respectfully.

Third parties have almost zero chance of getting elected. The reason is how we vote. Only vote for one introduces the spoiler effect. The spoiler effect ensures that if you vote 3rd party your vote will work against the major party you're mostly aligned with and ensure the election of the major party you are least favorable to. For third parties to get elected we must be allowed to vote yes or no for every candidate on the ballot. This will allow you to vote both 3rd party and the major party you are in most alignment with. Until we can do this third parties will remain hobby parties and no threat to the two major ones.
