Getting around on the cobblestones and pavers with winter ice on would be awful. I'm in Prague now, beginning of June, it's pouring rain yesterday and today and it's slippery enough now especially going up/downhill from my room to the tram :)

We watched the film “Ordinary life” about Nicolas Winton getting 669 children out of Prague in 1939. Very moving film and we could identify the places we had walked through in Prague.

Me and my wife have been to Prague 4 times already and are coming back in a month (long pause because of certain virus of unspecified origin), so it's going to be our first time during the coldest season. Wish us luck 😂 Hope we don't freeze

You never know in February - could be cold, could be warmish (10°C), could be snowy or worst of all around 0 degrees, muddy and overcast

I always stay a few days in Prague after the May race in Horice 😊

August September is a good time. Make sure you tour Karlštejn Castle, about an hour and a half out of town, you can do a day tour and they will pick you up and drop off. well worth the visit.

My 10th visit will, hopefully, be later this year. I haven't nailed down a date as of yet. My 2022 trip was in November. The accomodation was definitely cheaper but I was honestly surprised as to the number of tourists there were there.

When the destination it's cheaper (the flights) sometimes that's cause the weather is less good. They either up the price when lot of people will travel (from the same country),the best part of summer and maybe Christmas I think I don't remember. (Well they do like this in north america and France,with all their airlines companies) Well the weather became something very special. This gave me the idea to travel to europe in winter,I never really traveled for vacations in winter,only in France many many times.

I'm heading over in May for sightseeing with friends and to see Rammstein kick off their tour on the Saturday. I'm using your 3 day itinerary as a guide while adding in other stuff and contemplating a trip out to Kutná Hora if we have time and the others want to go. It'll be a busy week as there's hockey and Rammstein at the weekend but hopefully early in the week when we're seeing the sights is a bit quieter.

@@Pidalin I saw them in Berlin last year and there were t shirts everywhere, it became a game with my friend to spot the next t shirt first and have a bigger count than the other person while we were sightseeing

@@iain2080 I will see them for the second time this year in Prague, but since their concerts are such a massive events and it's sold out in few minutes, part of that their classic atmosphere is gone, it's too crowded and too mainstream now and sound is mostly not that good at these mega concerts.

Best time? What about NOW!?
