Valerie you are the best! What's happened to Janek's lawn?!
It still puzzles me every time I visit the Library, why would someone spend their time a queue to see that book sculpture… It’s a great sculpture but Prague is such a gorgeous city with so much more to offer.

I feel the same, given many Instagrammers don't normally visit libraries anyway
The dancing house is stunning modern architecture but its surprising how many people dont know about the Cyril and Methodius church and story it comes with (google it) considering its only around the corner It is definately worth taking a look af
If I am not on Instagram, can I still take photos? Just kidding! Thanks for the video.
My guess is a large group of tourists tried to see if they could pack the elevator, having more than one person in every opening at the same time, and simply overloaded it.

Nah, you cannot really break it this way, it is designed for much more load than can fit in. More likely is they activated emergency stop or something and maintenance just said it was broken, as they didnt want to come reset the elevator (and free people stuck between the floors) fifteen times a day.
The best viewpoint in Prague is at the top of the Orloj tower in the Old Town. I was there in 1978, there was also an elevator that took me up. Today is Prague the best in Europa!
Tip included in the price..... outrageous, how dare they! Tipping is getting a little out of hand in Prague. The swans are now doing permanent "Home Office". 😀 Good on them.
There's also one in the lucerna passage.
The second same elevator is in Prague YMCA pallace :)
I loved the Swan hissing! 😂 we need more swan hissing in future videos! You guys have the best videos to watch.
1:54 as a swede I thought 220czk sounded cheap for a drink🤣 we pay over 300czk for drinks
I did the Klementinum tour 9 years ago and it was the same, you could only see the library from the entrance (at the time, the shelves were empty as the books were under restoration or cleaning). The book tunnel in the Municipal Library was devoid of tourists except myself.
Ready to see you city! 15% tip is very low compared with US.

That may be, but asking for it is not part of czech culture and would be considered rude. But they dont care about losing local customers, 9 million tourists make up for that.
Heh, we were the other couple at U Prince with you - thought I recognised you from all my research before moving here from NZ :D Your BF doing a great job with the camera gear!
Great video and agree with you totally, the dancing house is cool but that'it, look at it and move one somewhere nicer instead. As for the u Prince, its cool for one time but same there, once done, no need to go back really...
The elevator we have in my office building as well, but not allowed to use it. I have seen the head rotation multiple times when I was walking by from the city to my hostel
Ahoj Valerie, the paternoster was invented in Sheffield UK. Arriving in prague 2nd July till 31st August hurrah .u kalendu, pod skali and lots of new restaurants to enjoy ,husky vikend ❤
Your sense of sarcastic humour 😂 make this vlog so charming. Actually you will make a great instagram photo too. The swans just left and and didn't back. And nobody asks why? 😂🤣😂🤣

I think because there wasn't any people for a long time, the swans could no longer have source of food there and so they just left thinking there's still no food OR those nutrias, vermin-looking animals could be predators eating them.
Glad your feeling better!! Libraries are my favorite.🙂
Great Great video, very helpful thank you very much!. Muchas gracias!!!!
Great stuff RPG's!!! It's good to know that if you must take these pics it might cost you time better spent seeing more.
As any trend on instagram, most of these location are tourist traps, or damaged by tourists. Have you seen the lawn before the dancing house? The people climbing on statue just because insta trend?!
I love Prague....
Another nice video... You are doing great. Best Wishes
Old prag pict book i wondered if the spot still exists or if the place/view changed and if i could find it. Once there. There was another guy also curious about the place same minute workin day march 23. ]
Places to go and see in Prague is never ending😲! Especially the beautiful restaurants. Very sad to hear about those elevators though😥. The prices for drinks really aren't that unreasonable however being taken to another location to be served is a headscratcher but not unheard of!!! Every city has those areas of ill repute. Loved this video!!!🙏🌹👌
Great episode again 😊
Thank you Valerie for your videos. I'm excited to visit Prague. You are always so informative in helping me learn about the City before I get there.
Good tips, thank you
Fantastic tour
Great and very informative video as always Val. 😊👍
Thank you for this video! Took notes from this 😊
The paternoster lift is, of course, British ;)
I'm traveling to Prague to see a beautiful old city. Things that we do not have in the USA. I'm uninterested in checking off Instagram experiences. LOL
Love you valery
I absolutely loved my first visit to Prague last month! I did visit a few of these spots but I wasn’t aware they were instagram famous😂 both Strahov and the Klementinum libraries were definitely a highlight, as well as the dancing house. Even though you haven’t included it, by far one of my favourite places was up in the Petrin hill, gardens area, with some of the best views of Prague.
😂😂😂 I’m not even into the first minute and laughing my head off, there are plenty of places to take great places in Prague😅 you just need to follow your blogs/vlogs 👍. Great video guys you crack me up every time😉
Wyszegrad is super
About the drinks: You really live in a different world if you hardly drink any alcohol at all. I was visiting popular tourists spots twice recently and was amazed at how many people were already drinking alcohol in the early afternoon or sometimes already in the morning. Not one glass to start the day, either, but glass after glass. Yes, that seems normal for people, to me, it just seemed weird. What are those people doing in the evening?! Maybe I am the weirdo, but I would order there sparkling water or a simple fruit juice.
Hi guys, love ya. I hate stag parties too! ( Only as a resident. As a piano player they bring £) Have you ever taken a stag party on a tour? :)
Thank you, one of the best yet. Speaking as pro photographer( visitng next week) perhaps they should reflect on why they want the photo and the impact they may have. Looks like distinctly boring, unoriginal photography to me , but i understand they are intresting places, but the photos are not.
3:10 Would you please explain tip rules in Czech? is it mandatory or expected? and how much for minimum?
Hi Valery, in San Diego, California, a drink, even at the cheapest place is about $15.00! So the prices a U Prince at not that out of this world. And tip is almost always added.

In Europe there is a decent wage even in the hospitality industry, personnel's financial existence does not depend on tips. All tips are just a gesture of thanks for great service, not an obligation.
I am coming on my first ever visit to Prague in a few weeks.... This video has been helpful in where to avoid 😂
❤
Many European Cities have Paternoster Elevators, that are still in Service
Most of the restaurants I've been to are asking for 5% 10% 15% tips
15 july i am going to visit pragu can i meet u
Hmmm, I like nutrias more than swans
They could give (serve) something for "our" cash. For the animals maybe they are aware of laws just like the ducks cause they are anarchists. Maybe they are waiting in the other place, then the persons that told the people to not feed them will make the same thing again and then they will come back. They say that it's the best place for pictures,it’s looking like this or that there is not much others sites but I don't think so.
That’s crazy that ppl go and stand in line at these places to take pictures and this is normal
you are adorable.
To make a perfect pose, the photogrpaher should be giving cues because he/she is the one seeing the frsme. With your pose, you could have move back bit further to have your foot at the curve of the house with toes pointed as if hitting the building. But aside from these, your photo is fine.
Hesky
No more swangs 😭😭😭🦢🦢🦢

Prague is way to overrated. Budapest, Vienna has much more to offer.

What for example?
Oh, you don’t like the location of the dancing house because you have to see poor people? So sorry for you!
Are you Russia? You sure sound Russia.

What? You speak English? Your spelling is also very bad.
