@@raigarmullerson4838 "Medical tyranny"? You mean COVID-19? Are you also one of those people who don't realize that SARS-COV-2 isn't exactly "new" to the entire human population? I am referring to the first epidemic of SARS that occurred in 2003. China was able to contain that iteration of SARS, which is why they resorted to the same measures taken this time as well. I don't understand why people believe this all some vast conspiracy about SARS-COV-2. It is entirely plausible that both theories occurred (that it initially occurred in the wild from a bat, initially tracing it to the wet market, but later revised when further tracing brought it to the Wuhan Lab) resulting in the pandemic, which if one looked at pandemics on a timeline of major pandemics anyone would be able to see that the human race was also long overdue for one to happen anyway. I mean, welcome to the land of the living. The circle of life and all that.

"Fourteen days to flatten the curve" could have been a reality had we dealt with the situation properly... Temporarily quarantine the elderly and immune compromised. Allow the healthy people of society to live as normal and establish herd immunity. Provide safe and effective therapeutics to those in need. Literally nothing else needed to be done to stop the pandemic from happening. No lockdowns... No masks... Nothing! This level of incompetence wasn't a mistake, it was planned. No amount of mental gymnastics will get your head around that fact.

He said flu was sometimes bad, but it was usually really old people, but with COVID, the people admitted were usually young. It was very common for people in their 50’s and 60’s being admitted, which is very uncommon for the flu. What was even more uncommon was that more than expected people in their 20’s and 30’s being admitted as well. Not to mention the lasting problems and damage many suffered afterwards. Total number of cases almost double over one week. Technically it is already an pandemic even when it is not declared yet.
