In today's video, I discuss our American Psychological Association presentation from 2022 on philosophical and psychological conceptualizations of happiness and well-being. We talk about Epicureanism, Hedonism and Eudaemonic ideas from Greek schools of thought. I also talk about measurement issues from positive psychology and how the field of mental health has broadened to encompass 'happiness' as part of assessment/intervention. I include clips from 'The Beach', 'Hand of God' and 'Wolf of Wall Street'.
