How do the different elicitations of spirituality from drugs, meditation, music, and meaning in life correlate with one another? The material world does not sustain our innate need for spirituality and meaning. I am a PhD student in Psychology at the University of Houston who specializes in the area of spirituality and how it relates to well-being. Take a journey with me as I try to make sense of the abstract and understand how the Divine relates to ourselves, each other and to the world.
I also share my own subjective experiences (as well as others) and how truth may manifest in ways that cannot be quantified by the scientific method.

Rather, it too is a political ideology that strives to derive legitimacy from Islam. Islam and Islamism are not synonymous, and there is also a tension between the two. A heart empty of hate and filled with justice, honesty, and compassion is the best way to good health. A religion that stresses forgiveness is unconditional, insists it is necessary if God is to forgive one, stresses that justice is the basis of our humanity, and must be exercised with mercy, makes charity compulsory and so on, certainly instills tranquillity, and makes the acceptance of tragedies, failures and disappointments easier. This has been my personal experience.
