I came here to finally be able to say that after months of seeing other peoples comments of passing their test wishing it was me, that on the 20th September I passed my driving test with 2 faults! Yey! Thank you for all of your wonderful videos, they are filled with extremely informative and helpful content that massively made a difference to my learning. For anyone reading this who is learning to drive or has a test coming up, keep going, watch mock tests whenever you have some spare time and you will get there - it's worth it I promise! You've got this!

Even though I am neither driving nor in the UK, I enjoy watching your videos
Thanks for the tips! Recently passed and whilst driving I didn’t realise how much non-verbal communication is used between drivers.
I’ve watched learner driver videos from many KZread channels but this has become my favourite :) This lady has the most calm voice with clear communication, easy to understand content and concise, hoping to smash this test very soon 😁
In Australia and New Zealand, it's also widely acknowledged that flashing your hazard lights is a way to say thank u. If u flash your hazard lights immediately after, say, being given way by another driver, then I don't think it causes confusion, because it'll be totally obvious that you're just recognising a courteous gesture

It’s fairly common here as well, but since it is not mentioned in our official guide it has the potential to confuse others, therefore we can’t recommend it to new drivers.
Can't wait to visit the UK. Love all your videos.
I love the way you explain everything and make it clear, much much appreciated 🙏🌻🙏
Many thanks, another great episode ! 🎩
Som much learned here.... Thank you so much 😇
This is such a helpful video.
I sometimes find myself being unnecessarily aggressive when driving, such as laying on the horn. This video and the manner in which it was presented reminded me of what's the better approach to a situation
Another very informative video, thanks very much
Thanks for your brilliant vid👍
Good educative video!
Thank you 🙏, we are really forgetting to behave on the road .. thanks for reminding that we are human being and we should behave good on the road
Had my driving test today. Passed with only 2 minors. Thanks for the awesome videos which helped me get through :)

I started driving since June 2020 and passed my driving test on 23/09/2021 with just 4 minor faults! I also drove 34 minutes and 14 miles today with my family.

My wife is learning to drive and enjoys your videos. One of the things she struggles with if I take her out, is knowing which way to steer when reversing. I'd like to see you do a video on this aspect of driving please. She is learning in an automatic.

I lost my license just before the pandemic this made it incredibly difficult to find a new test date in my area So I had to retake my test 100 miles away from my home in bury st Edmunds so I used your videos to study and passed yesterday with 5 minor so I’m sooo grateful I found your channel.

A very good video, are you allowed to drive very close to the curb when it comes to driving on straight and narrow roads ??
@AdvanceDrivingSchool
2 жыл бұрын
We try to avoid driving close to the kerb as it would be very easy to damage the car’s wheels or tyres.
Really good video. Although with the waiting at traffic lights section, if you're at the front (or in anywhere in the queue) I'd encourage handbrake and neutral and go to drive / 1st gear on amber. Staying drive or 1st with the brakes on dazzles those behind you
@AdvanceDrivingSchool

Do you think it really dazzles anyone? I have read that too, but the lights just don’t seem that bright for that to actually happen in reality.

@@AdvanceDrivingSchool In my experience definitely, especially when it's a bigger vehicle like an SUV in front where the brake lights are directly at eye-level.

Yes, it's definitely an issue at night although not so much of a problem in daylight.
1:17 exactly my point but driver never stop despite me using a learner plate LORD I knew it was my priority but they went through luckily I stop immediately n led them go ...this video is great for road courtesy🔝 ..Blessings
Advanced bike and car driver. Have no transport and it's really nice watching driving videos lol
A good synopsis of the basic rules there, we must also remember that a lot of these rules are guided by the current circumstances. On a blind hump for example if there is an obstruction on the other side and a motorist coming over the hump were to flash me I could probably and reliably interpret that to mean an obstruction I cant see, so be a little more cautious and observant as I crest the hump.
@AdvanceDrivingSchool

But what if a pedestrian sees the flash and thinks it’s for them and they can cross the road? The trouble is other people might interpret the flash differently and that could cause danger.

Hi, Are you allowed to drive on the double and single yellow lines on the left hand side in general driving even though the road is wide enough ?????
@AdvanceDrivingSchool
2 жыл бұрын
Of course - the lines only indicate that the road has a parking restriction.
Anyone know if you have to signal when doing any reverse parking?
@AdvanceDrivingSchool
2 жыл бұрын
We should indicate if it would help anyone nearby. 👍🏼
Basically, be in command of the situation even if it means submitting to other people?
@AdvanceDrivingSchool
2 жыл бұрын
We don’t think of it like that - as we can’t command what other people do. Just try to be patient, and help people without misleading anyone.
Had my test today. 40 min drive only picked up 2 minors pulling into narrow test center I got a serious as I got to close to car on my left (who was parked on double yellows) Absolutely Gutted been waiting 9 months for that test now I have to wait even longer. The examiner said I was an excellent driver and was a shame
@AdvanceDrivingSchool

Sorry to hear that. I’m sure your instructor can help you practice how much space to give parked cars in case the door opens or a careless pedestrian steps out. Hopefully you can get another test quickly and pass next time. 👍🏼

I’d like to point out the missing driving etiquette of driving along narrow rural lanes - where, for example you meet another driver and the decision of who reverses to the closet passing place.

We did consider that and a few other situations, but decided to omit them and keep the video to a reasonable length.

If only all drivers followed these unwritten rules, then driving would be much more pleasant and safer. It could be said that the aggressive actions such as blasting the horn are done by individuals in all walks of life, That is their nature.
I agree with most of your points but I don't think after letting someone out and seeing their hazards flash on for 0.5 seconds would lead to any confusion or action taken.
@AdvanceDrivingSchool

Oncoming traffic might think there is a hazard ahead and brake suddenly…
You guys do know that you only follow the rules when the police are around, right? I may flash lights to say i yield to someone whenever i want
