I got diagnosed with ADHD since my teenage, used ADHD medications for years. I spent my whole life fighting ADHD. Also suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.

Can you help me with the reliable source. I'm 56 and have suffered for years with addiction, anxiety and severe ptsd, I got my panic attacks under control myself years ago and they have come back with a vengeance, I'm constantly trying to take full breaths but can't get the full satisfying breath out, it's absolutely crippling me, i live in Australia. I don't know much about these mushrooms. Really need a reliable source!! Can't wait to get them.

Ive done shrooms last month in my house. It taught me how severely traumatized I was from alcohol. I healed from many mental traumas from my past and was able to forgive, let go. Shrooms to me is a remedy not a vice. I even felt more refreshed the morning after. So no hangovers. No depression mood for days. No anxiety.I now have a more calm mind

@@sidshady7413 I’m so sorry brobro. You have to come out to someone, if your parents can’t help (or refuse, tho that is heartbreaking) there’s always someone who can and will. That’s why you gotta reach out to find them. Screw whoever that laughs at you. You were blessed with a different perspective and everyone thinks a little differently which makes us who we are, characteristically. I just hope you don’t think ur mind a burden like I did. I am wishing the best for you. I will say a quick prayer over you if that is ok I’m not trying to offend or anything, but I believe in my Elohim cuz He helped me and I just hope you get the help you need too :) Dear Father I thank you for this wonderful person. I pray that you help them come out and that they find a person who can help them with their studies, who can guide them through this without it being overwhelming or stressful. I pray for peace and happiness upon them that they don’t think of their “condition” as a burden but a blessing. You created us all differently, we are fearfully and wonderfully made, we are created in YOUR image and we’re made to be victorious. Give this person a victory and lead them through life with pride and joy. In Your wonderful name I pray. Amen. Tysm again I AM SO SORRY IF THIS OFFENDED YOU. That’s the last thing I want to do. I hope you have the best day ever and keep reaching out.

Too much focus on what this is, I think!! Just try and dance with it. Discover yourself and how you are wired. What works for you and what not, in what environments you excel and what are environments are detrimental. I used to work in hospitality and seen so many young people with ADHD struggling in jobs as waitering. Why would you insist working in an environment that is obviously making you struggle? Instead of expecting other people to work harder so you can have regular breaks and other types of support, and increase your anxiety anyway, wouldn't be easier to understand, what environment would be beneficial for you, allowing you to bring value to the workplace? We need a constructive approach.

@@azizm8240 Thanks for your reply. To be diagnosed with ADHD the doctor should find evidence of symptoms before the age of 12. Symptoms such as : forget things, having difficulty focusing, being disorganized, having short memory... Some studies say that intelligent people are able to cope with their ADHD, but when you grow up you have more responsibilities, more things to get done, more things to handle more things to remember...then things get more complicated and your intelligence is no longer enough to compensate. It doesn't mean that you are less smart, it just means that you need to put on more effort, energy or get some help to do things like other people

As a person with ADHD, another thing I hate is the anger issues that come with it I get angry at people for the stupidest reasons, and tend to almost wanna do crazy dark stuff to release it. Whenever I share these thoughts and stuff, the responses I get usually make me feel like I’m some sort of psychopathic horrible person. That’s why I almost never speak, or hang around people, too, because I’m insecure about what people think about me (and I’m also an introvert, and people think introverts are school shooters, adding to the responses I get when I share my thoughts) I also hate that kids think ADHD is some quirky personality trait, and crap like that, because it is NOT fun and cool to live with

I always know I have anxiety, I act a bit different and sometimes awkward and I'm always restless. I can't always finish the things i thought I'm passionate about like paintings tho I'm an Artist. For the past few years, I'm always thinking that I'm just an introvert, or maybe bipolar or something but after some research I did myself, I'm suspecting I have ADHD. I'm so glad that I found this video. For years now, I thought that I was some broken black girl with terrible anger issues & always alone. My mother thought the same thing as me. Now, I get to talk with my mother to look in with my doctor or my pediatrician. I know I need help, and I need it fast. I don't want to hurt myself and anybody else because of my actions that I can't control. Thank you, Psych Hub, for showing me what's finally wrong with me. Thank you so much.

I knew a kid with ADHD (I also have ADHD) and before he was diagnosed he committed crimes all the time. He was truant from school, did drugs, got arrested, committed theft and burglary, got into fights all the time and said he wanted to die. I talked to him and he told me he didn’t know what was wrong with him. He could never focus, he was overactive, and super impulsive. Over time he became so angry. Eventually he got diagnosed with ADHD and he liked having me as a friend because I understood him as I have the same disorder. He’s doing so much better now. Also I never committed crimes I just had school and relationship problems.

this is such a relatable story. I suffer from ADHD and so did my old best friend. Unfortunately, my friend never managed to understand his disorder completely because his mother passed away and his dad never really cared for him. Although he managed to get diagnosed, he only saw it as a learning difficulty. I remember throughout our first few years of high school we would always sit at the back of class and laugh at stupid things and always get put into the special classes for tests and exams and all that. We never maliciously distracted the class or anything we just found it impossible to concentrate and teachers never seemed to understand. As we got older our ADHD symptoms began to get worse and we were both doing dumb shit such as hanging out with the wrong crowd, drinking heavily and smoking weed and all that but thankfully I began to get a grip because I realised that all those issues that I was trying to cover were just my ADHD and I started taking medication for it. Unfortunately for my friend, he only began to get worse and he began to hyperfocus on negative things such as crime and drugs and he dropped out of school all together. Now he is doing harder drugs and is on a bad path. I hope that someday he gets better because he was truly my best friend and we could both just read each other so well. I rarely hear from him nowadays but he is always posting drugs and weapons on his instagram

I have ADHD predominately inattentive type. The ways that it affects my life are too many to list here. I always knew that I was different than other people. When I was a kid, I thought that other people were just better than me. I was on medication for a couple years and I excelled. My parents decided after a year or two that the medication had too much of an effect on my personality. They thought they were changing me into a different person but really they provided me with an opportunity to be the person that I wanted to be. I know they just wanted what they thought was best for me but immediately after, I think in 6th grade, my problems started all over again. Through my adolescent years I had difficulty in school, sports, relationships, and even doing things that I enjoyed doing. After high school I joined the military. Adjusting was noticeably much more difficult for me. I didn’t have the attention to detail others had. I couldn’t make my bed as fast, remove as many discrepancies from my articles of clothing, execute drill movements as easily, approach obstacles with the same determination, etc. People thought that I was lazy and I was quickly ostracized. Idk why but for some reason the most productive and skilled peers I had always seemed to see something different in me because those people would befriend me. I was very fortunate for that because those friends got me through the first few years of my service. Eventually my wife convinced me to go back to the doctor about my ADHD but I was worried because ADHD is a bit problematic in the military and they only recently began treating members without giving them the boot. I was pleasantly surprised by the care that my doctor provided me. Once I began my medication it was like seeing the world for what it actually is for the first time. I can’t describe it in any other way other than feeling perfectly average. Due to the years of dealing with my symptoms, I had developed a great work ethic and it was always my strong point. That combined with my newfound clarity completely repaired my previous reputation as being unreliable, slow, and inattentive. I became the most utilized person in my shop. My superiors finally respected me and asked me to work on projects I never believed they would trust me with. Then I had a major life change. I moved to another country. I began to feel off and was having panic attacks. Most of the time I thought something was physically wrong with me. But my doctor told me that my health was excellent and that as young and healthy as I was that I shouldn’t worry. Unfortunately another doctor advised me to stop my medication for now because it could have been exacerbating my anxiety. So I did and things got worse. Things got so out of control that I forgot about the fact that I wasn’t a neurotypical person to begin with and I started to blame my problems on other people. I became paranoid, delusional, and depressed. All these things happening while being far from home. I ended up being treated by a mental health facility were I was diagnosed with GAD/MDD and given medication tailored to that. Things got a little better but they didn’t become close to normal until I remembered that I had ADHD and things didn’t get bad until I stopped being treated for that. So I got back on and have been feeling a lot better since. My guess is that having ADHD made me particularly vulnerable to a major life change like moving to a foreign country. In any case, I just wanted to get the point across that ADHD is very real and has complicated my life in many ways. Most 28 year old people of my socio-economic status don’t have the problems that I do. I’m different and if you have ADHD, so are you and you should seek some kind of treatment for it. Whether that treatment is medicinal or behavioral therapy or a combination of both. I really don’t know if I said what I wanted to, I got lost so I guess I’ll end the rant here.

It IS a disorder. I had QEEG-measurements done on my brain and it is clearly visible that there are large portions of the prefrontal cortex, that is not working efficiently. It is measurable, and it is something that needs to be treated. Blaming the "standardized way of being" is like the whole body positivity movement, that embraces obesity as a different kind of beautiful. Its not beautiful to be obese just as the system is not at fault for opting to have a standardized way of testing and being. The only hole in the system is people not being informed enough about how to spot ADHD in early age. I'm 31 and only now will be getting a formal assessment. As a kid I was bullied and parents were dissapointed for me just being "lazy, too emotional and weird". They should have known and treated me accordingly. Just my two cents.

Now I'm getting the help I needed for the longest time . I wish someone would have told me or seeked more help for me as a kid (besides putting me in a room with other "slow people") . I personally wasn't able to heal myself alone and would hide in a shell . It was so obvious to the people around me, the way I acted was painfully strange ... but i felt like it was impossible to change or be "normal" and I hated myself for this disability. But now I can tame it . Having control of my life as a young adult is very exciting !

Tbh I have ADHD and Autism and also anxiety. Earlier I was joking around with some people in a game but I went over and went to far by roasting them and I apologised but they didn't forgive me. I felt very bad since I didn't mean to hurt their feelings I have never seen my friends since I moved I can text them but that's it. I really missed my friends and that's why I'm always on my devices tbh When I told my mother she told me Because of my ADHD either way I still felt bad and wanted to kill myself until she mentioned that I could watch YT channels and talk to people about it and Oh how many people I relate to I also realised I never told them About my ADHD So uhh... yeah. But thank God I ain't alone

I come to these educational videos to find understanding & remind myself that I'm not crazy & that what ppl around me are saying are hurtful and gaslighting me that this is fake. Today is my first day ever taking ADHD meds. Today my husband also said I need to go back to remedial English so I can learn how to talk & listen. 20 years together, hearing this, breaks me. Maybe this medication will help me & that I'll be able to focus long enough to leave that situation & focus on me & me alone. This world is not easy on ppl like us & I just wish that the majority of the world would end its ableist mindset.

I didn’t get any help from both my teachers nor my parents and family. I was called dull by my teachers back in school. I hardly pay attention in class or copy my notes. I don’t ever finish my assignments and even after writing on my book I don’t have patience to read it word for word without making mistake or notice I’m reading from my head not my book . Thanks for this video ❤

While reading all comments my heart felt crying when I was a kid it was very hard to find someone with the issue but today thanks for the new technology and social networks half of the young population is suffering. All i want tell you young one there is to STAY AWAY from smoking, Sweet stuff, and artificiali beverages, make a schedule of good practice like fitness, healthy food and drinking at least 2l of water. Speak to your family and explain them, meet your doctor and get some help, before jumping to medicine try other therapies which works for you, search for good friends in your circle who can understand you before all search for the heavenly father and pray for him as he's the best person who can understand every single thing going in your mind. Love you all & take care.

I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was in 3rd grade, at first me and my family were convinced it's alright until I started not focusing in school, even going as far as throwing rocks on other kids cuz they "annoyed" me. Yeah. Then I think at around 5th grade I started taking medication, and I felt able to concentrate and was a "good boy"(more like a robot). But with that came alot of down sides. I'll start from least bad to worse. Stomache aches, no appetite, difficulty to sleep, headaches, stress, anxieties, social anxiety, depression. Then a few years later(at around 7th grade) I stopped taking my medicines. Okay, so does that mean I stopped feeling those symptoms? No, infact I was becoming more aware of it, and they stuck with me for a few years. I used to have this non stopping pain in the back of my head, bad thoughts, heck, at one point I was even suicidial(had thoughts, tried to choke myself with my pillow almost every night, sometimes when nobody was home, I used to look at the drawer with the knives, but I never dared picking one up because I didn't know what I might do), then I got a social worker, and like any teenager, I was anti. Then I got introduced to some place, some sort of place a handful of other kids in about the same situation as me went to this place. (Note: until that point I kept trying to convince myself I don't need friends, and I don't want it). I wanted change. I got change. Drastic change. The pain in the back of my head stopped, making me feel elated at all times, appreciating life, I started wanting a social life, started to think outside my little bubble. Now I'm in the military, still working on my social life, I have a few friends, look at things more objectively. I'm 18 now btw. What I'm trying to say is sometimes everything a person needs is some people who understand him. Or something along that lines. Don't put all your hopes in medicine. Good luck, whatever ur going through.

They thought it would lead to like healthcare bills and thought it was like voodoo and shit, when I was younger. My adhd is so bad, while watching this video I checked my email, read the comments, drew a face, watched another video, fiddled my thumbs and stared outside until I realized the video wasn't playing anymore, now I have to watch it again

As a person who doesn't have ADHD and is just researching this, not that my opinion matters but I want to say I'm sorry to those who had parents that didn't care, you deserved so much better and to have someone by your side, I'm sorry the closest people who should have been there for you in your corner left you to fend for yourself and you're facing untouched problems that are affecting you're living badly. God bless you and I hope you find that light you are looking for.

I had a bit of both worlds... My parents understood and knew how to care for me with ADHD and procured everything they could to make me feel loved and happy, but my teachers at school practically would bully me using me as a bad example, refusing to expñin something if i didn't pay attention, and even going as far as saying "havent you taken your meds today?". They were complete assholes, but at least i could escape them when i got home to the warmth of my parent's love. It' not your fault that you're like this, and even though you try as hard as you can you still can't appear normal... I feel so bad for those whoose parents didn't understand....

It is very important to notice these symptoms as parents and get your kids diagnosed. Makes life a hell lot easier for the kid. My parents just thought wtf was wrong with me for my whole life and why the way they taught my sister wasn't working on me.

To be honest, it is kind of a blessing and a curse, the blessing (for me at least) i'm good with my hands, so I usually do a lot of things when it comes to working with ya hands, body, etc. Curse tho, is that i'm dumb as shit when it comes to like being "booksmart" that's my curse, but fuck it, i'm unique so :D

I think its normal to have these symptoms to some degree. But what I just discovered recently for myself is that every adhd symptom is literally what I struggle with everyday all the time. I loose my handy at least 5 times everyday same with the remote, i can never bring myself to do homework on time and when theres deadlines i can never bring myself to start even 1 day earlier than the day before the deadline (if at all). When i try to listen in class my mind will take over and suddenly im watching some kind of "mind movie" and my senses (hearing seeing) just fade away without my controll even if I try for this not to happen!! Im making an appointment for a proper diagnose now. this would explain so much. Edit: I got diagnosed and meds made all of this go away its like only half of all information from the outside world was reaching my brain and now im at 100 like it should be. Also my mind shut up for the first time ever which was at first a very unfamiliar feeling but quickly became very calming when your brain isnt playing music or shooting a thousand thoughts at you all the time. When I first started the stimulating feeling was somewhat uncomfortable but that went away after about 2 weeks and now i only have the benefits. And yes that unbreakable wall of overcoming the what felt like before I was making a commitment to climb mount everest but in reality was doing homework or cleaning my room or taking the trash out, is no longer a thing its more like a mild inconvenience. At least thats what it allways was like for me beginning to do something took an enormous amount of mental energy (If i didnt want to do it) now i feel like its just the normal feeling of not wanting to do something but actually despite that being able to. In other words it changed my life for the better. The one downside is i do not get hungry at all until the evening but i was told that goes away after some months and taking medicine 1 hour after breakfast noch instantly after also helps a lot.

This is a relief to hear. A year ago I had wondered if I had adhd but never got much further than some baseline research. Like "oh, i really struggle with these symptoms lol" and brushed it off. Im now hopefully going to get diagnosed with inattentive because idk wtf i will do if I come back as neurotypical.

hello i have adhd and im only 16. ive been diagnosed since i was 5 and im very thankful that i knew what was going on with me from an early age. i have one vyvanse 200ml capsule in the morning which ive had for 2 years and i still struggle to eat during the day so sometimes the eating doesnt go away but i like to try and have little snacks through out the day. like a bag of chips aor a banana just so my body doesnt starve throughout the day. so i hope that will help a little and just pace yourself. going through medication is very challenging especially when it makes you feel like a numb robot. lots of love Alyssa..

ADHD is literal pain... It disables sooo damn much functions such as logical thinking, ability to remember during work, frequent "outages" like ik where i am and everything but i cant think of anything for like minute and then it goes away and it also makes you mentally younger than your real age... ADHD is not just pain, its torture at this point.

As a child I now realize I suffered from this ailment. Was badly punished by both parents and teachers aike. Lost my confidence, and had nervous breakdowns at times. I contemplated sucide as a kid several times but failed miserably at that too.I was bullied by kids at school and bus alike.I gradually gathered back my confidence when I reached higher school and became the school captain. Gained more confidence by speaking to myself standing infront of the mirror. As days passed I became more better in public speaking. I am today successful in my career and have settled abroad. I thank god for the journey. The very people who wrote me off as an idiot with no brains today ask theor children and grandchildren to become like me. Feels good . I thank god for whatever I have achieved.

My best friend has ADHD. As far as I remember when we were in school he couldn't sit on the chair without standing up every 5 seconds. He was fidgeting everytime he was talking about something exciting. He was really loud and talkative; he talked and gesticulated so much that after spending 10 minutes with him I was reallyyy tired 😅 But we know each other for over 15 years and I really don't mind that he acts like that, I like him for who he is and for what he does for me and other people :D

I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was 15. I am 17 now but I'm still facing it. I got to know about it recently. I messed up with my studies, social life, and other stuff very badly. No matter how hard I tried to make things perfect it always went wrong. I never get the support to treat this problem. And it gets way worse when you live in a toxic society. And day-to-day life seems very hard to pass.
