    Fun Fact, Ford Couldn't sell the Boss 302 Laguna Secca in Canada because Canada required Day time running lights. The regular Canadian Bos 302 got fog lights as day time running lights but the Fog lights were used as Brake cooling ducts on the Laguna Secca.

    That must be on 2012's ehh? My regular 13 Canadian Boss, has daytime running lights from side of HID headlights. Fog lights might be on also, but not certain. Did 13 Laguna have different HID headlights in Canada?

    @@1SIK500 They only made street version Boss' in 1969, 1970, 2012 and 2013. I know they sold a few Laguna Seca Boss's from 12 and 13 in Canada, but not many. One thing I just remembered, is all cars sold in Canada since 90's must have daytime running lights. Perhaps the Laguna he was talking about was imported, but actually still needs them to pass inspection, for import. Perhaps I'm missing something?

    In my opinion the s197 especially 11-14 were the coolest mustangs so far. They handled pretty darn well for their class and they shook up the class by being such strong performers. Also they were the lightest cars in their class at the time as far as domestics go.

    I miss my old 14 V6 mustang. The 3.7 didnt have a ton of power but it had plenty to have some fun and hurt some feelings. It was also a good conversation piece. Everyone knew what the 5.0 was for good reason but I liked explaining what the 3.7 was all about. It suprised a lot of people. It was also fantastic on fuel. Made for the perfect daily driver.

The 3v was only around 6 years total I don't see the 11-14 being super collectable just because they have coyotes I think they will hold good value and remain sought after. Especially since the new mustang sucks and is locked down. This is going to make the older cars hold their value even better than they already were.

Nothing special about the 13s I don't see them holding value any more than 11-12 other than them being slightly more because of being slightly newer. Outside of that they don't hold value any better. Alot of people prefer 11-12 too (myself included) it's cliche and predictable to fanboy for the 13-14s

    Why on youtube the 2011 mustang GT is putting out 360 rear wheel horsepower stock on the Dyno but, the manufacturer is giving it 412 horsepower?

  • @latemodelrestoration

    @latemodelrestoration

    Richard - Great question! All manufacturers rate their engines without a drivetrain. This is commonly referred to as "flywheel horsepower". There are also other slang terms for this. Once this power moves through the transmission, driveshaft, differential, axles, rear brakes, and rear wheels, the power is reduced. Think of rear wheel horsepower as power after taxes are taken out. Hope this helps! -Landan

    As an owner of the a 2010, I like owning a bastard year mustang. Yes, coyotes are faster, and pretty much 90% of the owners are little pee pee douche bags, but I love my cammed 3v. 3v sounds better, and 350hp to the wheels is plenty to have fun. I dont drag race, that is boring so straight line speed and HP mean nothing to me. Even living in a town of 1500, there at least 30 coyote cars here, and maybe 5 3v. And mine gets the most attention. The 2010 v6 had the same puny front brakes as the 05-09 v6 regardless of wheel package. The 2011-2014 v6 had the same size front brakes as the GT models, even the brembo packages were still standard sized GT brakes on the v6. 2010 shared the same drive shaft length as the 05-09 but 11-14 were longer due to the piece of shit MT-82.

There's another option that has the same old school sound the 3v has (only better) has a wicked torque curve also (only better) and you can get them in either early s197 or 2010 style. It's called a 5.4 gt500. You can have all the things you like about the 3v (only way better) but have potential close to modern coyotes and better than gen 1 coyotes. Not sure why more people in that way of thought don't go with gt500s. It's almost like they forget that's even an option. I love my 07 it's got a gen3r and arh long tubes it's nasty as hell. Has a way better trans than either 3v or coyotes. Also before you say they're crazy expensive not always. Bought mine in 2020 clean title for 16500 with just over 100k. I've seen them even in the last year similar for just over 20. I seen a really nice one recently w only 30k for 28. That isn't bad at all. They can make 600+ to the wheels with a stock blower and 800+ with a blower swap and fueling. Gt500 ftw

Only Ford employees knew a big change was coming in 2011 for the V8 & V6. If knowledge of the improvement had been released (leaked out) sales of the 2010 would have tanked.
